ITT We post fits, inspo, recent cops, BST (buy/sell/trade), C/N (cop/not), and discuss all things Nordic Streetwear.
Examples of Nordic Streetwear Brands
>Scotch & Soda
>Samsoe & Samsoe
Currently there is a pretty good sale going on (up to 40%) for the SS15 and AW15 Norse Projects.Menswear.
A Normandy-striped shirt is an essential component of a Nordic Streetwear wardrobe.
Denim shirts are very present in almost every AW15 Menswear collections
In Scotch & Soda's AW15 Collection, they went in a pretty unique direction, pushing a 60's vibe really hard. They came up with some pretty cool stuff.
the bright yellow lindisfarne has got to be one of the coolest things you can wear
send me one picture from MFA of someone wearing nordic streetwear, what the fuck does this have to do with reddit?
>must be Reddit
"S-stop liking what I don't like"
Does your mother know you're up so late past your bedtime?
the large is just too big, I guess I will wait for next winter, as the time for outerwear is already coming to a close where I live.
some of the womens ss16 stuff is pretty cool
got to say nordic fashion is very comfy and clean
bit disappointed by a recent Our Legacy shirt I purchased though, washed it a couple of times in warm water (hand wash) but it seems to have shrunk. I doubt it's me growing
what's better NP or OL?
which shirt? I've never ordered from OL, but the stuff I have from NP is of pretty solid quality, it's not like, bespoke or anything, but decent. I personally much prefer the style of NP. The boxy jackets, nylon caps, bright, striped clothing. OL just doesn't excite me.
Oslo is a very international city as you'd expect a capital to be, so you'll have no problem fitting in. Norwegians generally speak really good English too, so you'll have no language barrier stopping you. Welcome!
thinking about copping a Stutterheim jacket thoughts?
As a Norwegian it strikes me that most of the so called Nordic design within furniture, architecture, and fashion is usually from Denmark. For instance, all the brands posted in the OP are from denmark (exeption Scotch & Soda wich is from the Netherlands).
>tfw I'm a finn and would've loved to be an architect
>can't draw shit
>studying medicine now
>no /fa/ people around me
wtf is this reddit shit
"nordic" streetwear is like the worst fucking shit ever.
this is the kinda shit that 30-40 year old parents in copenhagen wear to try and be cool and effay.
like this shit stopped being fa in denmark over 5 years ago
Shitty camera/lighting but here's what i wore today
Thrifted suede aztec bomber
Fake ass raf hoodie
Acne wool trousers
R-Collection is really cool brand, the clothing is pretty basic but the quality is good and the story behind the brand is just great. But I'm kinda sucker for 'local' brands that have some sort of story or heritage, Fjällräven also comes to mind.
They also currently have Akseli-Gallen Kallela t-shirt collection which is pretty nice, not really feeling any of the tees enough to cop one though.
whatever my man
u should wear whatever u like
just be aware that this is "30-year old jyde that just moved into his trendy new apartment in vesterbro who probably votes socialdemokraterne and does other normie ass shit" - core
have fun with ur hot girlfriend and christiana bike and adorable babies
fucking normies man i swear 2 god
You wear acne, raf and cps, and you tell us we are some 30 year old socialist with NO GIRLFRIEND... Oh boy, you should reflect you choices, stop acting like a kid with your meme clothes
Why would you not just get the real thing? Is it because the website is not cool enough? Seriously superior from father to son quality. Other option is Armor Lux, but I find the cut of St James better because the neckline is more open. Personally can't wear anything that resembles clothes that old people sleep in though.
have any of you checked out the brand 66 north? i like many of their designs, but there is too much hiking wear imo
all I saw on their website was hiking/outerwear stuff
The nunk is on sale for $264, but it's a size above me, should I cop?
you do not see how nordic streetwear is distinct from the streetwear of other countries?
and you cannot possibly come to terms with the fact, that maybe someone likes that style of streetwear for reasons other than hating non-white cultures?
that would be the same as me accusing anyone who wears what can be considered "japanese streetwear" of just applying their japan fetish to fashion. The two things are fucking independent. Someone who is already privy to one culture or the other may be more likely to like their clothing, but it does not require that.
In this thread? Yeah it's distinct because you're posting a certain look. But when it's from that one Finnish site that posts street fashion it looks like a bunch of random shit thrown together.
>But when it's from that one Finnish site that posts street fashion it looks like a bunch of random shit thrown together.
this shit isn't defined by retards trying to please other retards on mongolian anime boards, it's what the look the brands are creating and the ideas behind it
the whole nordic streetwear is made for nordic bodies, tall and thin, and there is very clear element of minimalism and using colors/colorbocking in use most of the time. big thing is also materials and the whole nordic lifestyle being very close to the nature which is clearly big inspiration to lot of these
Love COS, tends to be leaning slightly more towards the urban side with its cuts and palettes, but it can work in this style.
closest thing I could find on their site
I own a few St. James shirts. Fucking love them. They have a nice open neckline and the sleeves are super boxy and have zero taper. I found that it's perfect for the summer because it lets a breeze through
Yeah these brands are classic for a reason. I have an Armor Lux jacket on right now and it's crazy versitaile in terms of weather and styling. Only thing with these brands is that if you want real selection you need to go their store, at least the Armor Lux store in Quimper is fucking massive with lot of stuff that's not online.
fjällräven is so fucking basic though
if you're a liberal arts college student you are bound to own a fjällräven kånken. If you're female it's twice as likely. You would probably also own a pair of doc martens and acid washed jeans.
Not that it's a bad backpack I've owned one.
Their jackets are pretty dope, and some of their plaids.
if you're talking about hel-looks that's a joke here too.
The people from helsinki I know dress nice, but walking around you do meet a lot of super weird fits. I'm finnish and we make fun of how they look in Helsinki. I'm from Turku/Åbo.
New to fashion k
>want to buy some NP chinos on sale
>they only have 31" legs unless I go to 36" waist
>fjällräven is so fucking basic though
Nothing wrong with that, and it's outdoor brand more than anything. They make the best flannels out there and the jackets are really good.
It's so easy to diss the entire site because of the goofy fits but the fact is the site has just as many great and interesting fits as it has weird as fuck ones. And most of the fits are just boring or don't really say anything at all.
Seriously. Very few people outside of major northern world cities know about fjällräven anyway... and if your outerwear isn't at least a little basic you're straying into corny territory anyway.
Their own pics are kinda shit but this one is really fucking cool jacket irl
Sizing up gives cool silhouette and it's technically hiking jacket so it's very functional and durable.
End. have a pretty good sale on at the moment, 60% off mostly
it's all free returns anyway, bit concerned about the fit on the chinos, I really like them but I'm 6'5 with long legs
i'm about to pull the trigger on this khaki one.
How is the sizing, did you size up?
Btw if you're shipping far, try and look around online and see if you can find it for a similar price at some store closer to/inside your country. If you don't like the fit shipping to denmark to return it can be very costly. Some places might offer free return shipping.
Karhu (the original 3 stripes) is also trying to get back into the game...Aria is a good start alongside with Karhu x Patta. Hopefully they will get more adventurous in the future.
pic related, Aria silhouette.
ehm, went last second with the navy one. i am scared the khaki will get dirty real quick.
i really hope i wont regret it.
just came to /FA/ literally no one wearing these clothes where i live
The Raven jacket looks like a decent M65 derivative. Anyone got it?
Wish it were a darker green, would cop that. This light shade seems like it would be harder to pair.
>Nothing wrong with that, and it's outdoor brand more than anything. They make the best flannels out there and the jackets are really good.
Their flannels are stupidly expensive and they have no decent colours half the time
acne are fucking radical liberals, you mong
Damn this is tasty
Too bad EVERYTHING on NP is sold out in Medium come sale time
do these run small? i found one on sale online for about 100 usd
right, because all these brands from different countries are working together and that cartel hired a marketing team to target 4chan.
Because that's how nordic fashion companies think they get onto world markets
it all makes sense now
damn, i think im in love
They really aren't
And they are worth every penny, the quality is really good.
I have one that's 7 years old and that I have used during work for 3 summers where it got beat to hell and it's only now starting to tear a bit from the hem.
>tfw happened to End just as they added Norse projects to sale
those shitters better fit
Hope they will have some decent 5 panel hats with the small text patch next summer.
Also realized that wearing both white mountaineering stuff with "WHITE" and norse stuff with "NORSE" is bretty funny and might get you jailed in Sweden.
