I would say avoid Yohji shoes to build a rick wardrobe. Maybe Raf for sportier looks, but the silhouettes are usually a little too small and the colors a little too loud. Ann D chucks might be your best bet, but only because they're a similar concept to Ramones.

They look like a poplin like cotton to me, rather than a jersey. It should take to dying although you may need to do it several times and with a ton of dye to get it truly black

I used Dylon to machine dye a pair of jersey pod shorts that had faded. The fabric doesn't feel as soft now but they're totally wearable and look better. The only real challenge is threading the drawstring back in after you've taken it out to dye them.

How I fit into these I don't know but it's amazing that I do and how isn't important. I usually wear 42 EU in Rick Owens, though I must be closer to a 41 and 40 EU apparently. The sizing on these shoes worked out better than I expected.

The tags of Rick garms always have a letter code at the end relating to fabric composition or type - such as LPO for oiled calf, F for Felpa, JS for silk/rayon. Depending on the fabric, this can either be a composition *or* an actual fabric name - it just depends on the material. Like silk/rayon doesn't have a specific name, but poplin does.

Wondering how to size these? I'm a US 11 so I'm not sure if a UK 10 would be too big. Rather be 100% sure before I go ahead and buy them.

A UK 10 (the equivalent of US 10.5, in other words, sizing down half) would be ideal. I also sized down half. They fit fine, but not snug anywhere. I don't know if that's because the shoe isn't padded anywhere. I *feel* that I could have sized down by a full size instead, but it's probably better to stay on the safe side if you can't try them on.

Slim shafts are typically custom order.

There's plenty of room (like 3 fingers) at the opening for a pant to tuck in the 988. In fact they are hardly at the calf, it's definitely lower calf/ankle.
