didn't look like there was a fuccboi general in the catalog.
my question is: is it possible to wear white or off-white chinos/denim without looking incredibly mfa core? i'm thinking i could pull them off in a more minimalist fit but i feel like it would also leer into being very preppy
Obviously this kinda stuff depends on the physique of the person wearing the outfit in question but here goes:
How dumb of an outfit would a baseball shirt and capris be? I live in a place where the weather is pretty samey and I'd think that would be a practical outfit that I could wear more or less year round.
Is that a major problem? Like, I wouldn't wear that outfit every day I could, I'm just trying to branch out ever so slightly from what I usually wear.
And besides, if I need to dress fancy I have a couple pairs of slacks, some polos, and some aloha shirts. (^:
I do not have a job, let alone that requires I dress professionally
Opinions on if I should cop barbour beaufort or the slimmer fit bristol jackets?
Hearing some things about bristol jackets being made outside of UK and lower quality.
What does /fa/ think about curling boots? I think they're interesting piece of clothing
if you're really really beginning, focus on getting a good selection of simple basics. don't spend a whole lot of money on anything. when i first started getting into fashion 3 years ago, i spent a LOT of money on individual pieces. 100 dollars for a sweater that, now that i've explored more and become aware of what i actually like and what looks good on me, i can't stand and never wear. once you're further into this hobby, then spend more money on individual stuff. until then, stick to gap and uniqlo. also, don't worry about getting raw denim. that's a meme that's honestly dying out now.
uniqlo my man
Yeah, I was thinking about buying 4 basic tees( White, Grey, Black and Navy), 2 "photograph" tees, 1 blue ocbd, 1 gray/Navy sweater and 3 shorts(Khaki, Navy and the other I don't know).
Checking my wardrobe I already have 1 stripped tee, 1 white OCBD, 1 grey casual shirt, 3 jeans(Lightwash, Dark and white) , jack purcells and a tan/green vans era.
What do you think?
why r theze fits so fire /fa/?
Simple question: What are you guys' opinions on facial piercings? I've been thinking of maybe outfitting myself with a piercing on the right side of my nose, and eventually (if I like the nose piercing and the way it feels) some ring piercings on the upper lip of one of my ears.
I like the idea of having these items on my face, but I'm also wondering how to dress to acentuate them. Idk, just let me know if it's a dumb idea. I'm really on the fence about this.
It looks a bit tight around the belt area. Can you loosen the belt without feeling like the pants are going to drop unexpectedly?
Disclaimer: no expert on pants.
they're very wide in the waist compared to how narrow they are, so i can't really loosen
here's another pic with the pants lower on the hip, i kinda think it works
I think that sounds splendid, actually. A good start. Make sure you get the stuff you feel the warmest towards, but don't let your impression rule your decision entirely. Sometimes a style can grow on you as you come to understand better how it functions in everyday living.
I think you look dashing, in those. You're right, you just needed to wear them a bit lower, or maybe it's because you altered your posture a bit. Either way this looks miles better.
Your thoughts are taken into consideration. I'd love some more thoughts though.
One argument for it that I've been considering is that even if it doesn't work, I can always take it out, and I'll at least have learned something about myself (that nose piercings look ass on me).
Why is that you think they look like shit? I'd love to hear.
Cop or not
I want to pair with some accented sneakers and a bright crewneck, is there a better fit for these?
What do you plan on doing with your life? Piercings on men, especially male facial ones generally look shit and if you're going into anything even remotely professional just hinder you
Studying for three more years. Maybe 5. I've already been hired, and the management freaking loves me. Nothing I could do would make him fire me. Once I quit this job I plan on delivering papers for a little while. Maybe sweeping some floors or cleaning dishes somewhere. I'd hope my piercing would leave me presentable, and perhaps a bit mysterious. Someone you'd want to ask about, or would remember for more than a few seconds when your first talk to them.
Also who says I'm a man?
I mean, I totes am. You nailed, saw right through.
>no girls on the internet.
Is jumping between styles/cores if you will ever acceptable?
Like I really enjoy dressing like a school shooter, but I like techwear & heroin chic as well, how do I into alternating styles without looking like a twat /fa/?
What's the best pair of black Palladium boots?
Don't forget, Roof was seriously effay.
Piercings do not make me curious or encourage me to ask questions.
Mostly they trigger some inexplicable sense of revulsion and I try to extricate myself from a conversation with the individual as quickly and politely as possible.
Piercings that are always okay:
Piercings that are generally okay in a certain aesthetic:
Nose (teenage women)
Bellybutton (teenage women/belly dancers)
Piercings that work in a certain aesthetic but everyone else will think you're a fucking weirdo:
Piercings that work but everyone will know you're gay:
Thanks for the opinion anon. If no one else convinces me otherwise, I'll probably stick with your plan.
I'm kinda androgynous (straight, tho), you think that makes any difference?
You can get by with an ear piercing in most environments. Conservatives will assume you're gay, but t hat would also protect you from getting automatically thrown out of the running for a job (hypersensitive pc bullshit).
If you live in a very liberal place you may be able to pull off ear/nose piercings in a bishōnen kind of way. /fit/ has an infographic for developing a trap body, follow the workout but not the diet (which is mostly bro science anyway) and you'll look like a prettyboy in no time at all.
Haha, alright. I like this idea.
Operation straight femboy is a go. This going to be fun, whether it works or not. And, yeah, I live in Scandinavia, the most fucking liberal place on the planet. Wouldn't have even considered it otherwise.
are cuckcore or minimalcore good styles to start getting into fashion?
Right, just trying to squeeze some fun out of this conversation.
This is neat, actually. I already run the required amount, and I don't eat meat, so all that's really left is the skin treatments and the ass exercise.
Sorry if I'm being too chatty, not from around here. Force of habit, really.
You guys are diicks.
Dunno. Really shouldn't happen, desu. Maybe you just need to look long and close at your jeans manufacturer.
Take it to a shoemaker if you got one nearby. Those guys are wizards.
Oh, I didn't know shoemaker was even a term.
But yeah, those guys usually have the expertise to either get the job done for you, or supply you with the product that'll work any time.
Amerilard here. We call them shoemakers because we bent your language over and fucked it right proper.
We also call milliners 'hatmakers'.
You'll be hard pressed to find either in the states, anyway. We invented the industrial revolution and killed all of our family business long ago.
Fuck I hate my country.
Does anyone know how much bigger and puffier is the Alpha Industries N3B regular parka compared to their slim fit N3B model? I love the way the slim one looks in the pics but I really hate the orange lining.
Pic related is regular N3B
Where's the best place to sell vintage clothes? Just put some stuff on Grailed but I don't have a good feeling about it selling. Pic related
go to a good running store and have them look at how you run, and buy what they recommend, no matter how ugly it is
ever notice how some people have awful form, but others just personally vary in the way they move their body/land/such? the reason there're so many running shoes is to fit different forms/styles of running, and having the wrong shoes can fuck you up far faster than running already does
running also shreds shoes, especially those not actually made for it
I'm a poor student and need winer shoes. got these because they were only 19 euros, comfy and good quality...
but are there not too expensive but more fa alternatives?
are they too ugly or still ok?
how close do you live to london? you could turn it into a daytrip if you live close enough to shop there irl.
the store in chicago is almost never out of things that the USA store runs out of instantly so i'd imagine it'd be the same for all their brick and mortar stores
that actually sounds like a really decent starter wardrobe. i'd consider adding a pair of white shoes to that (stans or similar), but that's just personal preference
Does anyone where I can order this jacket in my size (medium)?
>https://www.size.co.uk/brand/peter-storm/ is the only place i found the jacket but they don't have it in my size
If not could anyone suggest where i can get a jacket exactly like that , it doesn't have to be Peter Storm desu.
Is Uniqlo's heattech clothing effective? If not is there a reasonable facsimile available?
Wear it all with confidence and I'm sure you'll stay /fa/
I own a pair of baggy that I bought a few years ago, I'd pass on them if I were you.
Got this jacket from my dad, he wore it as a teenager. Don't know what to make of it. Maybe slavcore
High top chucks, about to cop some but how do I wear pants? Do I just get a shorter length?
ebay or etsy senpai. etsy especially.
get some milsurp boots anon. really cheap and durable.
absolutely but dont get caught up in it.
i jump between chavcore, techwear, and japanese streetwear on a daily basis. its fine anon just be sure to pick pieces that are found in all 3 of those styles
Posted before, but now I actually have the frames with me.
What do you guys prefer?
Frame name left to right:
Ames, Chamberlain, Cass, Benson, Wilder
I like the Ames, but I'm not sure if the silver, side bezel looks too dumb
Here's an image of the frames w/o a face if that helps.
how to pull off pic related
Looking for something similar to these CPs:
black, high top, slim
I know there's already a CP poorfag alternate chart but it's for the white lows only
Did I goof /fa/? The picture fucks the proportions a bit- they're normal chucks- but the color doesn't seem to go with anything.
As someone who wore a uniform for a significant part of my life and doesn't know anything about fashion, I wonder how do you know what to wear in the morning. Do you have a set of outfits that you basically cycle through over the days?
I really don't like 1, the frame is too lady-like. I'd say 4 or 5.
By the way, shouldn't you be wearing rounded glasses? At least ones that are rounded at the bottom—your face is quite square.
she has it all
the bomber by the way looks like the cheap knock-off version that you can get in a lot of second hand shops (i have one in blue and it's great)
at least that's how it looks fromt he zipper
really looking for slim fit cargo pants very much like pic related, don't know where to find
Man that's sorta how I feel about the Ames and I think it's due to the silver bezel on the side. Though the majority or friends and family irl have been saying those are their favorites so I'm trying to warm up to them more.
Also I've always thought my head was oval, but it might be the way I'm turning my head that makes it look more square. The fake lenses give off too much glare if I look straight on.
Can anyone give me an ID on these boots or at least the style name?
They can be great once you get used to the feeling of running on foam apparently, though I can use them because i need a running shoe with more support. Go to a running store and see if they fit your running style/body like the other guy suggested.
Newfag here, I have two questions:
I'm 191cm (6'3") and have slightly wide hips. Is there anything that definitely should not attempt to wear (certain types of coats or pants, for example).
Secondly, is there any infographic on how to your measurements? I've been looking on the wiki and youngstalin but can't find anything.
Pasting from another thread
Lapels are on coats, too, you know. And jackets to wear under a shirt with pants...
Basically keep it busy up top. Don't go skinnyskinnyskinny on the pants; you want something that'll skim your hips and not cling to your upper thighs.
Don't be afraid of colour. Cranberry and mustard polo necks and long sleeved sweaters were practically made for grey trousers. (think Steve McQueen). Only wear navy or black if they're sufficiently different in tone from the grey (like if you took a photo of yourself and photocopied it, it wouldn't look like all the same colour)
you could do that, or you could bend your pants, or you could just wear them down over the top of the shoe like I do.
I don't understand your question. There's a lot of different ways to wear pants. What's your goal?
cop = something you want to purchase
w2c = where to cop
tbqh = to be quite honest
/senpai/ = family
desu = /desu/ without the slashes
senpai = /senpai/ without the slashes
p = pretty
v = very
dece = decent
I think that's most of them.
touche /fa/, touche
So, I'm just gonna be frank.
I'm 18, and I work at urban outfitters and up until this point in my life i've had really shit dress, like ill-fitting jeans and t-shirts and that was it. Now that I have a job in a clothing store i like, I'd like to try and step up my dress. Any items/brands i should look out for, to cop there? I get a pretty nice discount, and any advice would be fantastic.
For reference I'm 6 foot and only weigh like 120 pounds, and I'm male, if all of that helps.
would a cobbler be able to sew the sole on a pair of converse? I assume so but I thought I would ask in case it's a big no-no
UO kind of has a limited men's section, even for average fashion retail. be aware of what other people are wearing, see what you do and don't like, start exploring different fabrics and styles. if your own sizing seems intimidating you can visit a tailor and get measured up
>6 foot 120 pounds
im 6'1" 125lb lmao damn
Don't just think of brands to look out for, as you said you used to (maybe still) wear "ill-fitting jeans." The ill-fitting is the problem. The first thing you should know before you worry about brands or style or anything is fit. The short run down is that tops with shoulder seams should have said seams at the point of the shoulder, sleeves going to the end of the wrist etc, and pants should be very slim and should be the right length. Try stuff on and take pics and post them somewhere to get specific help etc.
That is ideal advice yo. Those are great proportions to work with so the emphasis should be on keeping things tailored and to skim the body. A dead giveaway is that your trouser legs shouldn't be pooling around your ankles - a slight crease in the front, max. If you want to look at least slightly /fa you should have the bony part of your ankles exposed when you sit down. Beware the too-baggy "elephant bum"; your pants will naturally get baggier over time so don't size up.
And for shirts/sweaters/tops, don't be afraid of colour -- if colour annoys you it's best to start out with darker, saturated tones like burgundy, navy, chocolate brown etc. All men should have a tweed jacket at some point in their life but as you're 18 you probably don't want to be spending all your money on "investment pieces" yet. Fast fashion is fine BUT be really selective. If it feels wrong when you're trying it on, it probably is.
also, you probs already do this but get a Pinterest and start pinning stuff (streetwear, etc.) that speaks to you. It's surprising how little you know about your own taste until you see all of your inspo stacked up in one place.
Can anyone help me find pic related in a small please? I'm in UK. It's a Norse Projects Ketel
Well it looks like we're two then. I'm also in UK and looking for that.
Is there a brand making clothes that fit big guys off the rack?
I'm not *huge* but I can't seem to find any coats that fit my shoulders without being way too baggy around the midsection. I'm looking for a single-breasted wool coat in particular.
I know tailoring is an option, but I'd like at least to try on some stuff that fits, first.
Can anyone ID this commes des garcons coat? and tell me if it's real.
W2C similar sweater/jersey to Drake's?
What are good styles for beginners? I dont even really know what the "cores" are. Im 5'6" so i know i cant pull off rick owens' stuff. really looking for a style or some sort of focus but idk what there is out there
Thanks a bunch for the advice guys, and I'll definitely keep it all in mind.
I've gotten better with time, I have a few pairs of levi's 511's through work, and a couple button downs, but that's about it so far. What kind of basics should I focus on copping, to get a good base?
Aww thanks you're too kind!
Hey, /fa/, I got this jacket from my Dad. I'm typically wearing it with jeans and a basic t-shirt, but I was wondering what kinda shoes would go with it. Are milsurp boots too autistic, or would they work in this context? What else could I go for?
Going to bump this for another frame question.
I like the mixed material of the ames, but I do think the silver bezels make it a little too feminine Some one also pointed out that I have a more square face than the oval I thought I had and that rounded glasses might work.
So what do you guys think of these? They are still mixed material, but without the bezels and with rounder bottoms and overall smaller frames.
>people be complimenting my supreme snapback
>its actually just a cheap plain snapback with an iron-on embroidered supreme patch from china
Anybody know hoodies that are similarly shaped like this hoodie? I would get it but I ain't gnar yet.
way to fuck up a fbg thread by not putting the words fuccboi general in the subject
now no one will find it in the catalog search and we'll get a million useless threads for small questions
Was anyone from Colorado at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver event last night?
Saw a lot of fuccbois so figure there were a few of us.
Which would look more dope if sown onto a black jacket?
Make that 3, im also in the UK.
You mean shaped completely shit loose?
Yeah I like them like that too try out hanes and champion also generally any hoodies you can find in a college souvenir shop will definitely have hoodies like that
What jean/pant brands accommodate dudes with wide hips and thighs?
Did anybody save that picture a while ago of this trendy looking black guy with a white t-shirt with the japanese flag sewed onto one side of his chest? Does anybody have any images of similar t-shirts with a single patch sewed on in a similar fashion? I was hoping to do something like that so I can have some interesting basics for the unforgiving Australian summer but I want a bit of inspo first.
I have your problem as well and I found a pair called "Levi 501 CT"
They have a lot of room for buns and thighs
but taper below the knee so the fit is more modern than the traditional 501's
keep the rest of your outfit very very plain, like pic related
should I buy pic related now or wait until the next sale to try and cop low qasas?
posting this question here since there's no slp general atm
what size slp jeans should i get if i wear a 29/32 in acne ace cash?
i really wanna get the ones with the frayed hems, but i want the jeans to be semi-cropped, and i've heard that slp jeans have a rly long inseam.
is it possible to hem the jeans to a 32 inseam, while still maintaining the frayed hems? or should i just the buy the normal mid-waisted jeans and try to fray the hem myself?
i just dont rly like the thought of fucking up 300+ dollar jeans myself :///
any help is appreciated
Don't over think it, an olive parka is a versatile piece.
What kind of shoes should I wear with red chinos? What color top?
Anyone got a compilation of na.o's fits? Love her fits.
w2c cheapish business casual shoes? Looking for plain toe blucher/derbies. Currently trying to find some decent Allen Edmonds on ebay with little luck in my size that aren't wingtip/bicycle toe/etc.
Does buyee sniper bids match the current price and gradually increase until they hit your maximum bid value, or does it just bid the amount you enter straight away? For example, the item I want is currently at 30,000 yen I placed a 60,000 yen sniper bid. Will my sniper bid start at 47,500 and continuously rise until it hits 90,000 yen or will it just place a bid of 90,000 yen straight away?
best black denim to cop at $200 prices point
looking for a skinny or slim tapered fit/mid rise, fade resistant. at least 98% cotton. (am a girl btw)
so need brands that carry smaller sizes
was considering the apc petit standard washed black
any other recs?
Can you wear ecru top with black jeans/pants? Does it work? Wanted to order ecru sweat, but don't know if it can be worn with black jeans/white sneakers or black pants/black derbies and navy jacket.
cut myself on that edge, you autist
find out what's wrong in your life and deal with it
if you're in college try a basic beanie/toque, but beyond that I don't really wear/know hats
I doubt your facial aesthetics are as bad as you think they are though, and being bald can be /fa/ as fuck so long as you avoid skinhead-ish stylings
I will say that you should shave it before you start chemo, and become accustomed to it as your identity
Thanks, I usually never wear hats either, and look bad when I do wear them, so I wasn't really sure what would look good without hair. Definitely going to shave my hair early though.
Does anyone have the picture of a guy with big silhouette olive boots in a somewhat dark room
Hes posing and staring at a wall while his legs are crossed
Like there's a desk etc
Olive, brown and black patterns
