What's the most effay car in your opinion and what car do you own ?
i own a 99' cherokee sport. i proly wouldnt have this car if i lived in the city, but it's pretty good for where I live plus it was really cheap.
lovely cars... a pleasure to drive - and while the engineering is fantastic, it's an utter pain to work on. I'd love one someday nonetheless.
my friend has one, and yesterday we were talking about how everyone treats us like shit, and having a basic as car ruins our image....
I want to buy a more expensive car, because just riding something regular makes me look bad, because I am not rich. Add the fact that I'm black on top of that...
As soon as I meet a girl it's all good, then her friends see I'm not riding a corvette, or some other brand new nice shit, and they always tell them that they can do better than me... Sucks man... A car does a lot for image...
I have a motorcycle, I tried to show it to her last time, and they dragged her away, and wouldn't let her look at it, because they knew it would increase my image.
>tfw nissan is ending the Z car
>tfw nissan cut the iDX project
>tfw nissan only wants to make crossovers and bland sedans
>tfw nissan is cvcked by renault
Oh, and I've owned a pair of E21s, and currently own an E32 V12, an E38 V12, 2 E34's, and an E46 Touring as well as the E90 M3.
If you want to talk about driving magic though... nothing beats this car I have, and plenty /fa/ to boot:
This is my alfa
1981 alfetta gtv 2.0
pic is sideways for some reason, dont know how to fix it
the ones God gave me.
then again given the choice i'd take an e34 m5 over a 315 e30 so who am i to say. some people don't get the e30 thing at all until they've driven one, not my style really anyways. just don't want to see them get shit on haha
looks nicest in orange or blue i think
loud looking though
great car, a friend owns one and a 928, lots of fun
the greatest v6
I love Alfas. I'd love to own an old GTV. I imagine I will at some point.
Here's my 60k mile E34 M5. I'll post my 535 turbo in a sec.
Here it was on the way for some paint work.
how? because I'm in my 30's and have a really good job? stock options at the high tech I worked at did very well for me.
88 E30 325 convertible with 3.5L/5 speed swap
90 535 turbo
91 E32 750 V12
92 E34 M5
00 E38 750 V12
03 E46 wagon
08 M3 sedan 6 speed
14 VW TDI wagon daily driver
Oh, I also have a 96 Dodge Dually for towing cars around when I need to pick up something else I pick up or take for paint.
thanks dude cool to hear about it
how do you choose a car
do you like wake up and go 'i wonder which modern classic BMW i'm going to drive today'
cool collection though you really fucking like bimmers eh
>asks what could be the most /fa/ car
>suggests it's an objectively hideous gookwagon driven by immature teens and beaners who think they are in fast and furious (the corniest films ever created)
maybe if it was a honda
but you're just ignorant
I was a VW guy in my 20's. I'd still spend a ton on a super clean late Mk2 Tornado Red or Montana Green VR6 swap... if I could find one.
How do I pick one? Depends, really. The M3 is great, being "modern". With the rest it depends what I have in storage at the time or what's not in some state of maintenance or upgrade. The list never ends, but having all these older cars that someone who can read a service manual can actually work on is what's important to me. Being able to get your hands dirty for a few hours a week after working with your brain all week is highly cathartic. I recommend it to any guy who sits in an office or has a 'professional' career.
just went and test drove a mk2 vr6 swap the other day with a buddy, loads of fun, he might be buying it here soon
wholly recommend it, you could do with a lightweight front-drive car
glad to hear you've made it work and get to do what you like
I've had a few Mk2's, many years ago. GTIs loved to be thrown around like rag dolls. I knew a guy at the time with a Mk2 GLI with a VR6 swap that felt like nothing else I'd experienced at the time.
I've had a soft spot for Corrados and Sciroccos too.
Always got an eye open. Best part about being out here from New York is that nothing really rusts out here. Shit that is long gone back east you'll see out here in abundance. And cheap.
British Columbia is also a really amazing hot spot for picking up stuff out of Japan for some strange reason. Add to that the weak Canadian dollar, and there are tons of bargains to be had.
True, but what I said still occurs in reality.
You also have problems, you can't talk to black people on the internet without being racist.
*everyone tells you that they like your jeep
corrected that for you
Honestly I like my friends jeep, but in terms of how it's socially perceived it's considered low class
I'm not going in debt for it or anything, I just graduated university like 3 weeks ago, and luckily landed a job
I am not going to get some old ass car either fuck that
Unless I spend well over 10,000 for it,
F-Type until you can afford an Aston Martin
I'm the black guy trip dubs checked.
You don't even know what it is but you said it.
You had no basis for accusations about his height lmao.
trips of truth Aston martin confirmed the most /fah/ car
I was in London last year and came across a DB5. I just stood there in awe.
I'd love to add one like this to the collection at some point:
anyways the R32 GTR is fucking fast ricers aside
Do you actually walk and take public transport? That's literally the least fashionable thing you could ever do. Squeeze yourself into a disgusting trash tube with disgusting trash people and be corralled to your disgusting trash job. Public transport is fucking awful.
There's the four door version for sale a few states over for $6'500, seriously considering it
Il Monstro of course.
It's not for going fast on the highway, it never was, that's what m5s are for. It's for driving like an absolute madman on curvy roads, that's what the ultra-high reving engine is for, that's what the lightweight construction is for.
Driving pic related from time to time, it's breddy gud
Jaguar XJ series 1 (2.8L)
Currently own a 1 series coupe but some day...
trying to convince my dad to get this but he wants a maserati instead
for $6500 it better be cherry. the Bavarias aren't super collectible, and haven't exploded in price like the 3.0CS's.
File title says Starion, posts a pic of the Dodge version. ;) Sexy and rare though.
Beautiful 80's boxiness... too bad most of them have been wrecked by stance faggots.
Zagato penned this, yes?
One of his worst.
You own one?
Yes. Very effay.
You can get into the old volvo game really cheap.
No I don't, but I know about cars, just look at the fucking specs, nothing in this car says "I am there to go 200km/h in a straight line for 2 hours".
already did, scroll up: >>10788073
you know about cars, yet you don't know that the E30 M3 was designed as a car to race in DTM and WTCC?
Had fuck all to do with driving in conditions you described (although it is an added bonus).
Although I actually drive an e36 until I can afford an e30, no, I don't.
this 2016 escalade. I drive a bmw X5. getting the escalade next month. what are your guys opinions on it?
I really like my car.
This is an "affordable" car for a young driver unlike most of the cars you posted, and that's a true drivers car with incredible chassis and a nice motor, what's more this car gets rarer in good condition and its prices are rising up like crazy: a very good investment on top of an effay car
>mfw this beauty hasn't been posted yet
This one senpai, don't own a car and don't plan on buying one anytime soon.
I'll agree the F Type is great. Beautiful design. Both the V6 and V8 models sound amazing. Project 7 seems fun and unique compared to what other brands are doing lately.
My vote goes to the 599 SA Aperta.
loved the f type too, almost bought the r(coupe with v8), but then I test drove the gt3 and it was all pretty much history from there (pic is not of my car, but still related).
I own a 1997 Jaguar XK8 Coupe, got it used recently for under 10k.
Mercedes Benz 280SL
saw one of these today
my neighbor owns an amg hammer
mk1/2 gti instead
I own a 2014 300c with the 5.7 Hemi
Most /fa/ would be
In this order
>Ferrari Testarossa, black
>2009 BMW 7 Series Titanium Grey
>2008 BMW M5 White
Pic is mine
Is that a Nissan?
So fucking effay.
Needs a paint job BRUH
This is an ugly 7 series.
Post a pic then. Wow.
You belong in frugal male fashion and that's a board on Reddit.
What about it is so cool specifically?
That is a Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R
That car which 'needs paint' is from the movie Drive
That is a nice Jag
He posted a picture here
Shit just look at a fucking Wikipedia page
Yes. You have a right to be insecure with such a shit car choice.
What a piece of shit.
You have no effay friends.
Oh yeah? What the fuck is driving magic? Nice BMWs.
I had this problem lol. I ended up getting a cheap efficient daily and a weekend side car. That's also a great option if your insurance won't fuck you
Lol no pics you're worthless
That's a great car and you ruined it. Props for driving it at least.
Are you boasting because you were called out on? Nice though.
Your life is interesting
Nice. Do it dude. Stop being a bitch
well what do you like and what do you need out of it
the orange 944 is both stock and not my car
i don't know why people argue about things they know nothing about
I like what you did with a shit car
Wow that's cool. I didn't know that because I don't know shit.
This is an effay car thread so take what you posted out please.
Post your coupe noob. Are you scared that it looks ugly?
You post no pics because
Lmao and I bet you own that car
Have you driven one?
>listened to action bronson once
What's wrong with Tesla sir?
Oh.. I need to do more research on that model.
What do you mean? Are you trying to say it doesn't need paint?
No it's not a nice Jag. It's an ugly seven :)
Also I have no idea what I just read on that Wikipedia page lmao.
I take back what I said sir I'm sorry. I'll have to say that car comes in such an ugly stock sir. Would you drive it like that?
christ i'm starting to hate you
starion is not his and it's a fantastic car
>I don't know shit.
then why you talkin shit
a 205 gti is also a fantastic car
i've driven an 850 and it was stellar
action bronson likes bmws
tesla is for people who care about the environment
it's loved by weebs everywhere, sounds up your alley
it's supposed to look shit
that wikipedia page was really simple even for somebody who doesn't know anything about cars
i mainly like it because of my memories watching the jagermiester porshes race
grow a spine, your opinion better matter at some point rather than being told what to do on 4chan
my suggestion is to buy a stupidly boosted k20 honda and wreck yourself
or actually start having an opinion?
in the movie it represents a "sleeper" or fast car which looks cheap/slow
hey buddy, this website allows for multiple replies at once, to different people, about different things! high tech, am I right? i just love computers!
This is the correct answer. W123s are the most /fa/,
What the hell do you mean more niggirish? What the fuck?
Oh okay. I heard of that. That's cool. It's nice then for what it is.
You don't understand. I refreshed and there were new posts. I get lazy because I'm on my phone. I won't inconvenience you anymore sir.
Bmw e28 is more effay sir.
>Bmw e28 is more effay sir.
Close, especially stock, but nah, they've become too popular with the "urban" crowd if you catch my drift. BMW New Class is definitely w123 tier though
Urban crowd? Wow. What do you mean? I don't "catch your drift", pun-man.
That car is so beautiful holy shit. Must be hard to find one. E21s are easy to find, I live in the Bay Area. I never heard of it before. I've been wet on the e9 since forever lol. What's w321?
Supercars and the like are really as effay as its gets with a proper configuration, not your grandpa cars and cheap looking shit OP
Also I'm surprised that no ones said the Mini Cooper yet. I've never driven one but they look unique and great. Great space and feels great to be in. I'm not aware of how common this choice is. Maybe that could be a reason no ones said it.
got to drive one when they first came out, drunk
that being said I'd rather want a vintage as a daily
same with pic related
and in normal circumstances it's nearly indestructible
Lying online to strangers
>p-p-please like me, im cool i swear
not too hard to find
the great thing about fashion is it really helps with pretending to fit in
like pretending to look like an irresponsible and filthy rich trust fund kid in order to go test drive supercars
aston martin vantage volante
not effay even if they are mighty fun
they're import eligible now, and cheap. if you live in the states you could probably find one in south/central america all said and done for around 8-10k shipped
gonna post some interiors and then im done
Reminds me of this.
yeah thats a cool one too
if any of you family members are into these concept cars, theres a nice site http://oldconceptcars...com/
whoever you are, you know your stuff
is my car effay? its silver with the stock bbs rims and im considering painting it balloon white and lowering it i just cant get a pic bc hella snow outside
Personally I think matte black is easily the best option for pretty much any car. STIs in particular, the slight sheen highlights the contours of the body and contrasts any color.
But I strongly suggest you get someone who knows what they're doing, cause it can become a catastrophic mess if somebody fucks it up.
I was considering get it wrapped matte black but then I would have to get different rims because the stock bbs' look like shit with matte black. I was thinking something pic related which is why I thought balloon white, thoughts? No heavy camber though because I hate that shit
First thing I came to was an off white, maybe a beige. You could always get your wheels painted, too. Of course that means shop time, though.
Personally I'd avoid the GT3. Any model 911 hasn't ever struck me as a car with any kind of soul or character. They're perfectly engineered by the best engineers at Porsche. That doesn't always make them fun, though.
I'd keep the F-Type even if I could get the aston martin. I've been drooling over it for a while since it's not completely in the realm of unattainable if you dont have a disposable income.
I drive a Rx-7 (FC3S)
I would pick the Countach as the most effay car
>Are range rovers effay?
naw, but land rovers are
I fuckin love my 968, which is the model porsche produced for a couple of years after the 944. You feel so connected to the road in these things, but they are not very comfortable or luxurious. Definitely a great car for driving enthusiasts
Wagon is best though.
I wish wagons and tall cars (kei cars) were more common in the US. I like the efficient use of space.
you know you replied to a bunch of my posts, right?
>>10787860 (not boasting, dgaf what a bunch of high skoolers think)
>>10787882 (yes, my life is intredasting. It gets more interesting as you get older)
>> 10787903 (Mk2's will always have a special place in my heart)
lol you're a fucking liar or idiot: E30's didn't exist in 1980. The 3 series chassis in 1980 was the E21. E30's didn't show up until around 1984.
Why? Because I've been on 4chin and /fa/ since before you had pubes? I pop on a few times a year when work and life allows me enough of a lull to hang out here?
I drove a Mini Cooper S not too long ago. I really wanted to love it, I really did. But there was just something "off" to me.
It's an Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
Harlequin Mk3's will always be /fa/, imo.
See? You know. Hold onto that car, the huge surge in 911 prices means odd Porsches like the 968 will go along for the ride.
>they're import eligible now, and cheap. if you live in the states you could probably find one in south/central america all said and done for around 8-10k shipped
actually I'm European, and yeah they're easily accessible, but I bought a ZX two years ago, which is even cheaper than the BX
got the ZX to learn to wrench but it never breaks :(
pic related is my fleet :^)
>tfw i drive a awesome xterra and love it
>mfw they are not making them anymore
They just want to make shitty small suv's with no actual off road ablitly for soccer moms and homo's
I'm not scared at all, I like my car.
I don't believe you're comfortable in it, though. I'm 6'4 and I sat in one for shits and giggles and it was miserable.
There are a lot better things on the market to substitute a 3-series than a smaller, look-alike coupe.
You must be 90% legs then cause I don't even have the seat all the way back.
I got an amazing deal on my car (It needed some minor repairs that I did myself) and I doubt I'd have gotten much better for the money I paid for it. My previous car was a Vauxhall Astra shitbox so I'm happy with my 1-series as an upgrade
I like the look of the 944 but it's easily the shittiest Porsche ever made, and I don't mean solely in and of itself too, go look on craigslist for them, 90% of the ones you will find are non-movers sitting outside of trailers because some white trash faggot thought he would be cool if they drove a used beat to shit Porsche and then they inevitably break and can't afford ownership costs of one
I drive pic related.
It's understated, yet fun.
This is the kind of shit you drive wearing a relaxed white suit with the jacket hanging behind you, flapping in the wind as you drive to Turin with your window open to let the smoke from your cigarette out
