Anyone here start a brand? What was your aesthetic and your success or lack there of?
Also post general startup ideas and types of clothing that you think there is a market for.
>screenprinted tees and corny streetwear trash need not apply
I'm looking into it. Recently purchased a sewing machine but unsure where to start.

working on that with a small team right now
have all our knit patterns done
working on our wovens
23 total styles for the first collection
should have the first mockups for a fitting done in 2 weeks
after adjustments and final fittings, we should have our samples done end of february to middle of march, then it's a matter of getting production ready and finalizing the site
launching sometime between mid april and mid may, though i'm hoping we can launch early april and already be shipping in may

what type of clothing are you going for?
did you make the patterns yourself or hire someone?
why start with such a large collection instead of testing waters with basics?
do you have any buyers lined up or are you doing direct sales?
where are you thinking of manufacturing?
what would you say the total investment will be in the end?
wtf are the best shoes to wear with these pants?
>>12167918
Shame that they're adidas, otherwise the obvious choice would have been Nike TN's (you obviously have to chose one).
Some guys at my school/gym pull it off with Converse hi tops pretty well.
Any adidas shoe like EQT/NMD/UB. Nike Sock Darts might pass if they're black.
Honestly I hate these so much. They're hideous and too many people buy them. Just get calablasas or whatevertf they are.
Why is this a thing? It looks gay as fuck
It's like you manchildren forgot basic life skillsets that were commonplace decades ago like hemming pants
you described exactly why, I'm too lazy to hem.
>>12167229
>It looks gay as fuck
Visually, it creates a break between jeans and footwear. It can also create a better silhouette
>Why is this a thing?
Raw denim shrinks when washed. So if someone were to hem their raw jeans before washing, they would become too short.
Cuffing became more popular alongside the rise of raw denim and is now done with pre-washed jeans too.

w2c boots?
Is /fa/ hipster?
Nah, a lot of the cunts on here wear streetwear shit. They're more "gangsta rap" than hipster with their indie folk and coffee shops.
>>12166852
Hipsters stopped existing a couple of years ago, they have moved on but idk how are they called now
>>12166938
They definitely still exist in places like Portland, or any coffee shop in some trendy liberal inner city
What's a good anti wrinkle cream, Something cheap, I don't want to spend £10 on 50ml and was wondering if there was a cheap alternative

Get fit, drink lots of water, take cold showers, drink less alcohol, don't smoke and above all have great genetics
>>12166431
clinique is pretty good for the price and yeh like >>12166754 said, a lot of it is just about a healthy lifestyle and genetics
>>12166431
Theyre all pretty much bullshit, get a decent moisturizer and apply vaseline over at night. Works like a charm. And drink water
I'll start. I think what the leg wear samurai used to have where there is a looser pants that cut off just below the knee and give way to stockings/socks and lightweight footwear looks pretty good and comfy and it looks like it has good circulation.
Problem is you can't wear any of that without looking like a weeaboo faggot.
Kinda a shame, its pretty malleable. You could probably easily translate the sandals into some fly knits or other light sneaker, maybe ditch the socks if its too hot out and patterns/florals are optional.
Pic kinda related. The artist is using euro influence but those pants are the easiest example of this I could find.
So what's the confession?
Just wear it, nobody will care.
I fucking love graphic tees.
>getting jeans hemmed

>he doesn't know how to tailor his own clothes
>>12164974
i don't understand this fucking meme, why would you pay for clothes that have been designed a certain way only to get them "cuffed", "hemmed" "tapered" or whatever shit buzzwords people throw at you in WAYWT threads. is it so hard to find clothes that fit properly? are you poor? or a manlet?
convince me which to buy

era is objectively better
authentic typically worn by girls and screamo bands that r not good. occasionally they can be fine, but era is better.
>>12160140
Authentic
Reason: it's a true piece of Americana and California surf culture
>>12160140
era are more solid, authentic are like summer on californian beach. both are beater shoes so I would pick era.
theres so much wrong with this
cant even put my finger on it
just disgusting

Is it possible to pull the bald look?
Can it be aesthetic?
Does one have to have god-tier facial aesthetics to pull it?
Advantages?
Disadvantages?
Will someone breed with you if you shave your head?
Well? Is it? C'mon, you gobshites.
