Looking good is contextual. If one is a middle class professional one should buy semi-rimless frames, because that's what those folks like in that milieu and therefore part of what ones boss looks for when thinking "who should get promoted? well, who looks alright?"
Everyone else? There's no point whatsoever. They're basically designed to fail in order to make middle class professionals use their once a year insurance optical balance. they offer nothing you can't get from simple browline frames.

I live a pretty monochrome life, and while my apartment and wardrobe are devoid of colour, the one thing in my life that is still bright is the food. So I was wondering if any of you knew about any dangers of adding activated charcoal to most of my food. Obviously I wouldn't be eating it constantly, but it would be incorporated into most meals so that I have some black food to contrast my white foods (rice, dragonfruit, etc.) Also any recipes for black or white food post here!

Here's how to tell if you're attractive, the SURE FIRE way:
Step 1: Leave the house, dress in your BEST FIT.
Step 2: Go to a busy shopping area/area with a lot of women
Step 3: Make eye contact with every girl you pass, doesn't matter if she's hot or ugly.
Step 4: Look for the following signs
-eye flutter / blink when she looks at you
-pro-longed eye contact
-looks away, then looks back again at you
-girl gasps / opens her mouth slightly
-girl bites her lips
-smiles
-getting catcalled

I consider myself very good looking, and pretty much every girl (no matter how hot) does the eye flutter thing, I get smiled at probably 10-15 times a day by all manner of girls. The rarest thing is the catcall thing, but watch out for groups of girls, they typically say something like "hey sexy" or "hey gorgeous" and run off giggling.
The way to know you're UNATTRACTIVE is if you're basically invisible to girls, i.e. no matter what you do/how you dress, you can't get a girl to even look at you.

I've got to say, business casual attire has to be the darkest realm of fashion. It may not be the ugliest, but its ubiquity really makes it a blight upon society.
Living in the suburban Midwest, 95% of men aged 40+ dress button down shirts and polos, tucked into belted khakis. Even if they aren't necessarily heavy-set, it creates a muffin-top figure above the waist and a flabby ass below (and if they do actually have a flabby ass and beer gut, dear Lord...). It all screams "my wife gave up on dressing me a long time ago, now I just pretend that I'm a golfer, because that's what guys my age do, right?"
Women are fortunate enough that they have more options, but many are still forced into slacks and polos, which can make an attractive 20-something look like she's in menopause.
/fa/ if you had to reinvent business casual, how would you do it so that it looked inherently semi-formal, but not shit?
