Nice gift anon give your mom a big hug

I'm not American so I can't help you, but remember it's easy to shorten trousers so they don't crumple on top of your shoes and it's also easy to shorten sleeves so they don't end up at your knuckles, but it's almost impossible to fix bad shoulders, tightness at the waist or a loose collar.

The shoulders should not be loose or wrinkling from the stretch, you should be able to button jacket (never button the bottom button) without wrinkles around the button (if you see an X-shaped wrinkle it's too small) and a good rule for the collar is, it should show as much shirt at the back of your neck as it shows at the wrists (like half an inch maybe? I'm not American).

And before buying a suit, always try one size lower. It usually fits you fine without wrinkling from stretching and looks better, people tend to buy loose suits when they don't know.

Want to order some derby boots online, but I am not sure on the sizing, on my current boots I am size 9 (UK) my foot is ~27.8cm +/- 7-8mm for comfort, different size converters say I should get 9, others say 10

It's very hard to shop for shoes if you go by your true measurements.
Your best bet would be:
>order somewhere with free retuns or try particular brand at store
>order same size as normal shoes you wear (if on site it says true to size or tts)
Sizing is different from brand to brand or sometimes even between different models of one brand.
>>
>>12118284
Getting classic 8 eyelet solovair, their site has a sizing chart, but it seems pretty large, and they only have size 5-7, 10 - 12 available
>>
>>12119201
Solovair has 1:1 sizing as Docs. So I would advise just to try on Docs before to find out right size. They run tts though, so don't size down (at lest for my feet).

Hello /fa/ can you reccomend me brands that sell good flannel like Alex Mill, Pendleton, Our Legacy, WTAPS, J Crew, Sitka, Norse Projects, Iron Heart, ect

Can I incorporate in my everyday fashion sense elements of motocross/enduro style? I liked them a lot and it would be great to wear them even when I don't race. I found this jersey and I love it!
Please be kind, tell me what you think

P.s. This could be a motocross/enduro thread too

How old do you have to be before a long beard looks good? Because I know if you do it young you look like an insufferable hipster.

>I know if you do it young you look like an insufferable hipster.
Not if you actually earn it. I mean I can't grow and don't want a beard, but if you're actually a strong and rugged guy you can get away with a beard

If you're the "Gentleman's Guide to Tea Brewing" kind of fellow, you should shave your beard and head off

So I nicked my new pants at a table at work yesterday, and a thread cane loose. I'm like super OCD and particular about clothes, is this gonna ruin the fit or make it magically unravel or some shit?

And what should I do? Leave it, burn it off, cut it off?

Keep to wear or keep on ice and resell in a year or so.
Selling right now would be stupid, since your profit would be $20 or something

Or gift them to me. Whatever, it's your choice.

How did you come to adopt your own style?

I've spent the past week trying to get into /fa/ but I feel like everything I wear and buy becomes normcore/dadcore. It's not that I intend to be that way but it's just the only way I know how to put an outfit together.

play video games, watch movies, watch anime, cop styles, adapt

let your imagination run wild
>>
>>12115964
Buy basic boring shit that fits well and is versatile enough to be used in any style at first.
You will eventualy develop an eye: some pieces, patterns, textures, colour schemes, etc. will appeal to you more than others. Make an inspo folder, read fashion magazines, shop everywhere (and buy occasionally), take mental note of that dapper dude you saw on the street and think about what made the fit great.

Your style will sort of fall in place from that, adapting to your lifestyle, the weather and whatnot.
>>
>>12115964
Look at all inspo threads and bands you like and movies and architecture even, do this often and your taste will develop slowly. It's supposed to be a slow thing, it's better that way and more individual and pure. I like watching movies from the 60s and 70s for example, I do it quite often.
I'm pretty poor but I buy a single expensive piece now and then instead of lots of cheap stuff, so I'm pretty selective about what I buy. Two years ago I bought basic stuff that gravitated towards what my vision then was, always in simple colours because then it will last even when my taste changed I knew that, grey cableknit, blue soft dress pants, black margiela replicas, black jeans etc basic stuff. Stuff that was basic but I knew would be versatile even down the road. Now I have so many versatile things of high quality that I bought a long time ago that I only buy things that are very out there now, and can make it work instantly.
As >>12115976 said it's some textures and patterns and cuts that will appeal to you more than others, it's when these small deviances appear in every single piece you own (because you've selected every piece you own carefully) that a pattern appears that is your own style. The sum of all things small.

IS THAT TIME OF THE DAY C'MON

How do you stay effay with a low budget /fa/?

Any tips (Besides thrifting stores) or inexpensive (Not "cheap") recommended brands you love with good quality?

Stop buying multiple outifts and just blow all your money on one single outfit you can wear everyday like an anime or video game character

you think Cloud paid for multiple long one-sleeved black leather jackets?
>>
>>12115408

Gets annoying when people ask you how much things cost and bawk at the price.
>>
>>12115416
Plebs have no conception of of worth or value or quality

They believe no article of clothing should cost over $50, $100 at most, and you need only pop into /waywt/ to see the results of this mentality.

If you need to buy $140 boots or a $645 jacket, so be it, so long as you're with them for the long haul. if you know what your fashion tastes are and that they won't change drastically, you should consider this kind of spending an INVESTMENT

is balding the most humiliating thing that can happen to a guy, excluding bad medical conditions and ED?

everytime i look in the mirror i feel like im withering away more, fin doesnt help and a hair transplant would be too expensive for how bad it would look on me (25 and already quite bald).

its just a part of me i cant style anymore or do anything with and i look objectively worse because of my high forehead.

fuck people who think being a manlet is worse than this lol

No it's just a meme, people have pulled off the baldo look
>>
just shave it you fucking pussy

literally no one care about your lack of hair
>>
Normal people with well adjusted lives don't give a shit.

The only reason you care so much is because you either interact with people who pay too much attention to this or because you're a fucking NEET or something.

I'm not bald but I swear all the guys who whine and complain about it are NEETs for some reason.
