Here's an idea for a "daily" challenge. Did you guys have "Random Acts of Kindness" programs when you were in school? If not, it was basically just a thing to teach kids to do kind acts for each other (as well as everyone else). Stuff like helping old ladies cross the street, recycling, and all that jazz.

I like my flatchested girl pretty well too. As for someface, I tend to use similar proportions so that the girls don't look "out of style" when posed next to each other. I may need to re-evaluate eye color though since I seem to use blue eyes too much. I can't help it, blue eyes are so good.

Well, it's the one to the left, who has white hair (I do kind of see how Aria's design seems close, though...). Shit, shit, shit! Now I have to think of a different name. Thanks for bringing that to my attention XD

The two sisters are supposed to be polar opposites, and their names sort of represent that. The reason why I chose those names were because they fit the personalities (Or so I thought):

Noire "Nosferatu" Dolch was supposed to simplify into "The Black Vampire's Blade" ("Dolch" is German for Dagger. The word for blade, or blade of a knife is "Klinge," and I didn't think that fit). The "Vampire" part is due to her lust over blood and gore (Like I said, she's loves /d/), and the fact that she snaps into /d/ mode by the taste of blood.
(Side note, she returns to normal when she's greatly embarrassed, the most common cases are when she's tied up, bdsm-style, or her top is removed)

And Aria Dolch was supposed to simplify into "The Singing Blade," she has a body near that of a diva, even her scars can be easily overlooked (Aside from her back, but her clothes cover it up), and she has a voice to match. When she fights, it looks almost like a performance.

Fuck, now it's back to the drawing board for Noire X_x

For what it's worth, I think these are probably the best (or least worst?) outfits you've done yet. I almost like them, even... which is probably why I bothered to type out all these suggestions. I'm not strictly against the complex outfits you create, but a bit of balance and thematic cohesion can do a lot to make a cluttered design more appealing.

Those are... Actually very good ideas...
The knives are, really, the best things I could give them, weapon-wise on here. They are pink because they aren't metal, they heat to extreme temperatures, and the characters use them to cut through steel. You could think of them as small, solid light sabers. And I wasn't trying to hide them, I just dropped their arms to simplify their poses, and didn't think to remove the weapons (whoops).

As for Aria's hair, I wanted it to remain short, and Noire's to be long (again, the opposites thing), and I actually want to blame this one on my monitor. My old monitor was dark, so dark hair kind of blended to me. Until I saw your comment about it, I didn't even glance at her hair with my new monitor... :/

I think I see what you're going for with the faces, instead of a more "Moe" design, you're trying to aim for something that seems more realistic, like NOBLESSE? Less cutesy, like the more common anime girls, more detailed, and trying to make them look less feminine, right?
The two to the right give off that vibe, but the one on the left is trying too hard. Three-dimensionally, I can understand the choices for the hair on the right and middle, but the one to the left, just... The eyes don't seem to fit. I've never liked those eyes on a character whose body language doesn't strike me as "angry."
She reminds me of Hummingbird from Dead Man Wonderland, the character I based Noire off of. She has a cute exterior, but it's just a cover-up, and when she is forced to show her true self, that cute exterior turns ugly FAST!
The only other things that kind of bother me are the choice of gloves. If they could go over-top the shirts, then they may fit more, but underneath, they clash.
And I've never really been a fan of a tucked-in button-up shirt, for some reason. But that's just me, and it took me a couple of minutes to notice it again, when I was trying to think of what that second thing was.
Honestly, I DO like them, and would like to see more.

When a lady reaches the point where she's THAT pissed, having a reserved personality is tossed out the window. One of my friends got punched in the face by a chick who was the equivalent to Hinata, from Naruto, and when she reached her breaking point, that trait went out the window.
I've never seen someone who was extremely angry all-the-time, and still very reserved. I've seen people be grumpy as all hell, and be reserved (grumbling obscenities every moment), or angry people try to avoid taking someone's head off...

Dude that hair is just awful. Keep it a consistent texture, and definitely simplify. The middle three are alright, but the one on the edges are just perfect examples of how not to do hair. (I like the blonde in the school uniform. She looks like she'd fuck you up, but in a hot way.)

You find the part of the code that has the size values for the hair bit and change them to a negative number before reimporting. (Hair bits are lettered "r" in the code and, naturally, come between the "e" and "f" portions)
Values between -30 and -40 for the first hair bit tend to work best for me, but opinions may differ.

No no no. Please don't do this. It's often good for inspiration but always tweak and edit the final result. I've done this plenty of times and something from the random will catch my fancy and I'll edit the crap out of it til I get what I want. Usually the result doesn't looks similar at all.

Excuse the length.

How's this for a "daily" challenge? Show off your character through the ages. Which could be interpreted in three-or-more ways:
1. Your characters when they were younger, the same age, and/or older.
2. Early designs of your character and their current model. Or,
3. Your characters in a different time period (Westerns? Feudal? Future? So on)


As for the image, I decided to do some tweaking, now that I can see them a little clearer (New monitors work WONDERS).
I renamed the younger sister (I thank everyone who pointed out the problem with her), and I changed their last names (mixing words and translations gets confusing, so I stuck with one translation).

Since there's no hair between the one Aria and Keira have, I realized that a ponytail wouldn't fit Keira's Kisekae version (Her real hair is slightly longer, and much messier, than her sister's), so I raised it to make her hair look a little more uneven, without making her look lopsided. To make the pieces on her shoulders look more attached, I put a bit between them and the top (Not sure if I like it).
I put more variation into their uniforms, since they are from different military groups (More plot stuffs). I also changed the knives, that way they aren't fluorescent (They aren't metal, so grey doesn't fit, and white just makes them look very shiny).
Aria, I moved her ponytail to the back, and gave her a ribbon to make it look like it fit better. I changed the rose in her hair to match the rest of her color scheme, and replaced her bandage, and altered her utility belt to work with the design.

Keira's hair is starting to turn white, which happens over the years, Aria's hair is long (It gets burned when she gets injured, and that's part of why it is shorter).

Also, someone asked me why Aria has those scars if she has a remarkable healing ability. She wasn't born with that healing ability. They live in the future, and genetic manipulation is common. The incident brought her near death, so doctors had to alter her to save her. Since the wounds were so massive, they scarred.

It really helps if you can inject some sort of personality into your character, even if you have to write something to go with it in order to do so. Give us some sort of reason to be interested, to want to see more.
