New homeowner reporting in.
I just moved to outside of my parents house and I want to buy a screwdriver set for whenever I need it. I could buy something for just a few euros, but why not get something a little better?
Can anyone recommend a fairly affordable, but good quality brand? A multi-bit set and magnetized would be the best. I live in the Netherlands.
Gozer, koop van elke schroevendraaier 1.... de kans dat je het dan niet gaat redden is erg klein...

I don't really look for savings. Just a better quality product for a little more, not professional tier.

protip: buy the screwdriver and bits separately. Get bits made for a drill. They are build to stand up to a ton more abuse, most screwdriver bits would strip out in 30 mins in a drill = angry customers.
I personally like ratcheting, but it's kind of a gimmick. Look for something with a metal (not plastic) mechanism if you do. a right angle ratcheting screwdriver is my favorite at the moment, because leverage.
On the other hand my dad swears by the flip bit type with 8 sides because you never lose a bit.
Screwdrivers hardly ever break unless you're abusing them for prying stuff. it's the tips that go bad.

Get an 11 in 1 screwdriver from Klein or Irwin. I've used both and they're great. Can't personally recommend any other brands but 11-1 screwdrivers specifically are the sweet spot. If you buy more, you lose hex-socket sizes and the straight slot gets too small. 11 in 1 is perfect.
Fits almost anything, Get a jeweler's set (make sure they have a wrench/key/hex option so you can torque them if you need anything smaller.
Get a double ended dog bone ratchet with 3/8 on it and you can drive the 11-1 with that if you get something tough. It's great.
