What type of aerial connection is this?

Cheers
>>
The Belling-Lee connector or IEC 61169-2 radio-frequency coaxial connector of type 9,52, known colloquially in countries where it is used as a TV antenna connector, as a PAL antenna connector or simply as a TV aerial plug
>>
That would be a coaxial...aerial connector.

As far as I'm aware they don't have any specific name to them. It's just an aerial connector.
>>
Ah ok sweet cheers, just trying to find out what converter plug I'd need as I have to add more length for the cable to reach the tv

looks like a piece of shit cable.
rg59 has single braid shield that isn't great for digital, switching on a light or something can break up your freeview picture. also motors.

if you notice this kind of thing you could replace the whole length with cable that has a foil shield, goes by many names ending in 100, wf100, wp100, fp100 etc etc depending on manufacturer.
you can buy cable, fittings and ready made lengths at b&q etc but check the shield type.

Female aerial to male aerial. Also known as...an aerial extension cable.

lmr100?

no
tv cable is '75' ohm which is determined by the diameters of the cores and things

check impedance is 75 ohm and check general size will match. but its usually sold as satellite cable.
wf100 is webro foam 100, ct100 is similar these are brand names really
i think the 'spec' is rg-6 for foil shield equivalent of rg-59
