Anyone have a guide on how to quickly construct a practical hat

Traditional Hawaiian bowl weaving is still performed today, maybe searching along those lines might get you closer. I imagine it's better to have thick robust type grass so it'll last longer. Look at your picture.
What the fuck is difficult about that?
You never did basket weaving as a kid? Never visited a mill and saw a loom weaving?

You get your material
Cut it into strips
Lay out vertical strips, leave a gap of 1 strip between each.
Put down 1 horizontal strip
Put down the rest of the vertical strips in the holes.
Now lift up all the original vertical strips up to the horizontal strip and put down another horizontal strip.
Notice the alternating pattern of over and under.
This is a basic weave, you can do other fancy ones later.
Once you have made a big enough piece you fold it into a hat

real basket. you can do something similar if you have a very tough, long grass like bamboo to split and weave with. Straw is ok, but most grasses are eh, and you want dried grass or it'll rot on you.

Heres what you will need:
- Tiara ( a plastic one from happy meal will do )
- Dandelion flower

Step 1 remove the dandelion flower from the earth and place on a calm surface

Step 2 remove the tiara from its plastic wrapping

Step 3 Palace the tiara on your head

Step 4 Insert the stem end of the dandillion flower underneath the tiara

Step 5 repeat until you have completley covered your head in plant madder.

step 6 tell tumblr you sexually identify as an elvis princess
