From seed, They Take about 8 yrs to bear fruit, That said some have had them bear in 4.

You need 2 trees at least to get fruit, Male flowers open in the morning and female in the afternoon.

Avocado trees grown from seed almost never produce good avocados, buf if you have access to a good-avocado-producing tree, you can use the plant you've grown from the seed as a host to a graft from the good tree.
