I was thinking about that guy last halloween when I was watching Creepshow with the monster under the stairwell. I couldnt remember where I had actually seen it.

Im really really fuzzy on the details, but I remember a guy coming in and talking about living in an old room under a stairwell in a university.
He posted a bunch of pics and it was old tile/building material and other junk that looked like hadnt been touched for 50 years.

I think I remember him saying he wanted to throw away some stuff and build an actual somewhat permanent dwelling , while everyone here was saying to be as nomadic and ready to book it as you can. Lots of people saying he would get caught real fast and shit.

Then time went on and the thread died, then some time later out of the blue someone posted a news story about a guy getting cornered by the police on top of the uni.

Diy is one of the worst boards with serious conversation to lurk besides /mu/. There's some solid info, funny moments, and interesting stuff, but it's mostly an autistic pissing contest. Seriously, these guys argue about what saw is best. You know the best saw for a job is? One that'll cut as cleanly as easily as you need at a price you can afford. Sadly no, but he put a LOT of time and money into it, and it was like a 3 year old car.
It was the biggest shit show I have ever seen on this board. People saying it was great vs people saying he ruined his car.

The thread stayed up a stupid long time and there was some serious venom being thrown back and forth.
