Hi dinosaurs

I have pic related. It is broken and won't build pressure past 100 psi, and motor won't cut off. I have already bought a replacement. What is worth salvaging off of this thing, versus just scrap metal?

The receiver. You could have it in line from your new compressor and have a potentially larger air capacity.
>>
Sounds like its just a seal or maybe the release valve. Fix it.

I had thought about this. I was thinking of mounting it somewhere and building a shop system with one of those iron pipe condensation radiator setups. I tell myself I don't have room right now, but then I tell myself that shouldn't be enough of a reason to scrap metal the thing.

It'll be electrical. If it's a 125 psi unit and makes 100 it's not a seal.

I've had the same issues with another compressor. They're not expensive so not worth repairing.

I have already ripped the thing apart once. Found no noticeably damaged parts. Seals linkages etc appear to be good. Can not locate the issue.

Compressor systems can be spread around to points where its convenient to mount components. I'd certainly keep it in mind. It's useful.

look at the checkvalve on the top of the cylinder.
they can just get dirty and not seal all the way.

There are a few problems you could have but it's probably in the valve plate. These compressors have cheap reed valves and they tend to crack on the discharge side. You can probably find a valve plate kit online for pretty cheap and the head will only have 4 bolts holding it on. Fix it up OP

motor, quick connect fitting, guages, preasure release, and the tank for storing things you want at preasure. i would love that to store hho tourch gas
