Too buttery?
I gotta tell you senpai, it looks like less of an ``i'm a poorfag' problem' and more of a ``I don't want to put work into my meals'' problem

That looks like something I would cook. I only tried to make pasta once and burned it all.

Any DIY recommendations for sod grass fertilizer? Currently use weed and feed. Sod was laid in late September 2 seasons ago and didn't really have a chance from the word go. Located in Georgia so base soil is red clay. Spring/summer water it 2-3 times a week.

Try Google dickhead.
Thanks fuckstick, amazing advice.
Was looking for any info on homebrew fertilizers. I bet what you keep between your ears is full of enough shit to make my lawn green for years.

Hey guys, I am new to carpenting and I am going to make an arcade cabinet w/ MDF for school. It is a bartop one and I work with the metric system, anyone got a good plan for a first try guy?
I'm no carpenter, but something like that pic cant be that hard.
make a plan with dimensions and cuts.
measure twice, cut once.
buy more material than you need, so you can fuck up and try again.
that curve on the side pieces can be easily cut with a router on a swivel, google router cur curve.
haven't worked with mdf that much, but i assume that its easier to rout without ripping because it doesn't have a directional fiber pattern grown wood.

Hello /diy/
>instrument thread
I'm interested in making a stringed instrument of any kind, post ideas below.
pic unrelated
It depends, do you want to make just about anything that resembles a stringed instrument or do you want to make a serious guitar/violin/whatever.
The first mentioned is pretty easy to make considering there's a buttload of cigar-box plans scattered around the internet.
If you are planning on making a real instrument, as a luthier I can tell you it takes a lot of tools you might not yet have, and also expensive wood. And plans. And experience in woodworking.
You could also just buy a pre made kit and glue everything.

My dad has an old porter cable planer like in the pic, and I've used it several times. I want to get one of comparable quality but it seems like the only thing anyone makes anymore is cheap plastic China trash.
Can anyone tell me where I can buy a quality hand planer?
>>1139945
Secondhand from antique stores or markets, in the US at least. There's a thread on at the moment about one.
>>1139945
So, you want a power planer? You probably won't find one with a metal body. Power tools started to go double insulated (plastic body) back in the 70's. Porter-Cable made some of the best power tools available back before they were bought out by Rockwell in 1960. Even the "Divison of Rockwell" P-C stuff was top of the line (not including the budget 'Green Line' tools). So, they will be hard to top with a modern tool.
The main issue is that no one uses them anymore. Trades rarely use them because most jobs that require them have gone away. Fuck, most of those tards can't even hang a door anymore. They just buy it pre-hung, throw some shims between the frame and the studs, drive a few nails and call it good.
Power planers are 'too new' for people that like to do things old school. They are all still using hand planes. So, it's not hard to find a good new hand plane (not cheap either), but at least they exist. For power planes you are basically stuck with buying a good used tool or hoping you got the 1 in 3 Chinesium shit shows that won't completely fail on you the second time you go to use it.
Hello /diy/,
My phone is dead..
I assembled Samsung Galaxy S5 from two broken ones, one of which was water damaged, but screen worked fine. The other one had a fully working phone except the OLED display. The first time I assembled this phone, I didn't fasten the screws thight enough and the camera didn't work. I didn't really care and I used it for half a year in daily use. Recently, I reassembled it, replaced front camera and the back camera from water damaged one. I tested the two before and these did work fine, but after this recent reassembly, my phone literally died. At first, it displayed greenish Samsung logo and it slowly faded away. I thought, that it was a display connection issue, so I made sure, it's properly connected. Then I held the power button down for a minute (Sometimes, it fixes hardware issues) and then inserted the battery again and switched it on. It seemed normal at first, but as soon as the yellow text "warranty bit void" apoeared, it quickly switched off. I was scared and I quickly removed the battery and I've tried reassembling again and then powering on but with no luck.
Is it static electricity damage?

>I did shit
>Is it X?
No one will be able to tell you because no one is able inspect the fucking thing over the internet. It could be a million different things.
>>1139129
What should I try? How to diagnose it?
>>1139130
Try another battery and see if it is battery
If it is not then meter all the connections and check for broken ribbon cables
if it the cables or battery is good then there could be broken solder in the board, put into oven to reflow
if that doesn't fix it, then it is dead
Me and my friends are currently building a hydrogen produktion "machine". We are almost finished, but there is one problem left. How do we connect the pipes to the holes in the steel plates, the space between those plates is only two mm.
I already thought of putting some kind of hollow screw from the inside sticking out, to connect the tube to the inside, but I am unsure, if the screw would touch the other end. Could somebody help me ?
Please excuse my bad english
need a picture or drawing of the
>hydrogen produktion "machine".
If you're building it to make a vehicle run on water, forget it.
no, we´re just using it, to make gas and blow things up
wait, I found a solution, nevermind
Future inlaws coming tommorow. Was painting all last night with girl friend. Had to use binz on water stains and smell was really going to my head. Girlfriend didnt want to open window cause it was cold outside and she would get cold. Smell was making me really light headed. Just noticed this wat do?
>>1141306
First off, dont even think about switching it.
It's probably old cloth wire in a metal box, judging from the outlet. The cloth will probably disintegrate if you move it. If you were experienced you wouldnt be asking, if you mess it up you'll either be calling someone experienced that'll charge you a lot, or you'll catch something on fire cause it'll be arcing inside the box.
Pull the house main fuse or flip the main breaker. If it's oil based paint use a thinner and scrape it off or if its latex just peel it off. If you go the thinner route don't use something that melts platic(like acetone) and make sure its completely dry before putting power back on.
If you dont feel like losing all power in the house it should be a 20 amp circuit. Doesnt mean it will be though.
Should have just taken the plates off, an ounce of prevention etc etc.

>future inlaws
don't worry, they arn't
>coming tomorrow
invite them into your deadly fume filled traphouse.

just breath it in, you and your girlfriend needs time to adjust to the new atmosphere.
>just noticed this wat do
paint the plugs as well to make them color matching.
>>1141318
Don't listen to this idiot. Just use a knife and scrape that shit off asap, make sure to get in there good and deep (like you try to with the gf), and don't bother cutting the power anywhere, that'll just slow you down. It's perfectly safe OP. As always, post results!
