What work gloves does /diy/ use?

I shill Mechanix gloves more than I should simply because of all the gloves I've ever tried on, they fit my hands 100%.

I have a few pairs of Hardy from horror fraught, they fit well and theyre cheap enough that i dont worry about if i lose them, like when i caught one on fire.

A left handed welding glove to grab and move hot pieces, and a bare right hand because I don't care for preservation of my soft baby hands

So I've lurked here for a while, seen ya'll like mold, I have some mold in my garage, caused by moisture leaking through the roof (I'm not stupid, I'm working to fix that) but here (Pic Related) tell me some shit about this mold!

looks like you need to replace the ceiling because the shit plywood would be rotten completely inside, when you tear it apart, the top layer will be 2000 times worse than you can see here, it will be a pool of black death waiting above it, so wear biohazard suits if you have any
>>
>>1148684
Just regular respirators with filters and etc with gloves, coats, goggles, etc. would work right?

I'm an owner of an environmental remediation company. Trust me, this is not the kind of project you'll be able to "DIY."

You don't even know what tools you need, and to get it done right will probably only cost you around $250 per sqft, plus disposal fees.

For that little money, is it really worth gambling your family's safety?

Hey /diy/

So I wanted to make something like pic related, except I'd like to make it for a charm bracelet.

How would I go about making the scenery? I think that what they did was use wood splinters to emulate trees, then encapsulate it in resin. However, I'd like to make my trees more realistic looking, kinda like the ones you see in snow globes. I want to make a forest type scene, or even a waterfall scene.

Is there a way I can custom make my own scenery? Make the trees myself as realistic as possible? Or am I just way too ahead of myself here?

If what I want to do is not possible, how on earth would I get little splinters like that to look like trees?

Might try a modeling shop or hobby lobby by the model trains and shit? Dunno but bump for interest. Building a massive pressure pot for gun stocks.

Some guide use a tootchpick and add other colors like white for a galaxy style affect but u got me.

Good luck brother. Keep us updated
>>
>>1148509
Hmm, I'll have to try a model train store. I know of one that's half an hour away from my house that I can try. Maybe the guy working there could help out.

I found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdl4Pa81zHY

His trees are obviously huge, but could this scale down to something like a few millimeters tall? Use toothpicks/painted wire for the trunks? Plus, the fibrous material he's using, would that hold up if I were to encase it in resin?

Splitting/snapping toothpicks would be a good start for making "splinters" I think.
>>
>>1148507
>trees
try take some real moss

>waterfall
cast it and then laser a dot cloud inside it (requires special machines), or pull a little strand of wool and dip it in pva or clear glue and bend it so it looks like waterfall

There's (at least) R16 to limit current and CMOS circuits usually have diode clamps like in pic related in their inputs.
So, if you apply 100V to the input, you can expect around 80µA fault current to flow to VCC or GND, depending on polarity.

That said, these cheap chinaman meters aren't exactly known for their robustness.

boxing out pex pipe: I have these two water lines exposed in this room (it was build as an addition and whoever did it just ran the lines exposed) Its on drywall, any suggestions? Can i just find the studs and attach nailers and do some paneling?

>>
>>1148102
If you have the slack put them to the ceiling and box them there. Secure the pipes to the wall so they're not just sitting on the bottom of the box. I'd probably not box it but 45 a 1x4 (cheap) or crown molding all around the room. Never will know it is there.
>>
>>1148107
thanks cuz, and if i dont have the slack? should i box it out with paneling or drywall?
>>
>>1148107
wow what a moron, do you not see the pipe inserts like a foot below the ceiling where it runs into his shit wood wall.

whats the best way to increase water pressure? move the pump into the house or buy a water pressure booster? will a mains water pressure boost work here or do i need a special one for a well?

>>
>>1148030

Is that 5lpm with or without the aerator?

That's a fairly typical flow rate for a low-flow "water saving" aerator.

If that's straight out of the pipe, I can only assume there's a restriction somewhere in the piping or the piping is of an excessively small diameter for some reason.

That being said, 2 bar is kinda low for water pressure, at least here in the US. 3-4 is more typical (in the neighborhood of 45-60PSI), but, if I remember right, you're technically within spec at a little over 5 bar.

framing this.jpg

Newfag here, never did any /diy/, I need some help with framing this poster.
I picked this up from a local ad agency for free. At the time, it seemed like a great idea, just for the novelty of having a limited print large advertising poster.
I went to Michael's yesterday and asked about buying a frame for it, and the lowest price I was quoted was $500 bucks. Now I /know/ it could be done for a lot less, so I've come here for help.
Any feedback is appreciated, thanks.

Did you want a frame like the one in your pic or something you could put on your wall?
>>
>>1147908
Something I could put on my wall.
>>
There's a few ways, lot of it depends on if you want it to be able to be taken out of the frame later and kept intact, or if its ok to be a permanent fixture which can't be removed.
Also a materials budget and tools you might have will help
