New video up. Do any of you have the deleted one where his flabby face is visible in a reflection?
So, guys
Need to fix the indicators on my bike
>Wat solder gun is gud?
>do i put the resistance before or after the bulb?
>is heatshrink wrap waterproof?
>if not how do i weatherproof the connection?
>>1195033
>Wat solder gun is gud?
dunno, pic related could work for you.
>do i put the resistance before or after the bulb?
doesn't matter
>is heatshrink wrap waterproof?
no
>if not how do i weatherproof the connection?
use hotglue
>>1195037
OK, so gonna buy the chinkiest thing i can
Can't use hotglue, the heat of the bike would just re-melt it
>>1195040
then use 2 copmponent epoxy glue.
Need to make a little dry ice, some what regularly. Been looking around and attachments are expensive, makers are even more, and the fire extinguisher pillow case method isn't cheap either.
I was thinking a pillow case over a paint ball cartridge would essentially do the same thing. But without a trigger, I don't know how to release the CO2 from the canister in a controlled way.
Any ideas?
>>1194813
For the small CO2 powerlets take a look at bicycle tire inflators. Alternatively, take a look at the 9-32 oz paintball bottles. Depressing the valve stem will release a LOT of CO2 very quickly. Any paintball store can also sell you the fill valve and hose. Tell them you are putting together a home fill station. Screw on the valve body and turn in the valve stem to release the gas. You can easily hurt yourself like this so be warned. The hose will whip around and if the bottle is not securely held it could take off like a rocket. Also, frostbite.
Something to be aware of if this CO2 will be used for anything you will take into your body: industrial CO2 found in small powerlets and paintball tanks is NOT food grade. It is made from petroleum products and contains carcinogens. Food grade CO2 is made from Ethanol.
Use earmuffs when doing anything with pressurized gas.

My understanding is that most CO2 comes from the same sources, but the difference is cleanliness of storage tanks? The air gun cartridges may contain some oil for rustproofing?
I have half of a metric Fuck-ton of black walnut lying about my property that I inherited a bit ago. Recently started tinkering with woodworking tools in the hopes of building something I could be proud of from some of it. I had been showing off the more unique cuts I had found and was approached by someone interested in buying some rather nice looking (but confoundedly thin) live edge pieces. Pic related. What would a fair price for this sort of material be? Online search yeilds boatloads of high dollar black walnut slabs much, much thicker. Any input is aplreciated. I'll post a few pics of these beauties here in the meantime.
Eurofag here, asking other eurofags preferably Germans because Lidl.
Are these tools branded "Parkside" any good? They are currently sold at Lidl and people around say they are good. The pic related set costs 80€ and i'm really thinking about buying it.
>>1194635
Looks your typical store brand set to be frank. Might serve you well into future depending on your needs and how much abuse you give to your tools.
>>1194636
>depending on your needs
fix shit around my car, mostly
Also, i wont leave it in the car, because i live in a nigger country where there's people who'll break a 100€ window to steal 20€ shit from your car. Guess the country, btw.
>>1194637
Yeah, my pops has had similar sub-100€ set for about 20 years for working on his motorcycle/car and it does okay for that job(altough his idiot spawn might have lost the 10mm few times, but new sockets are pretty cheap). And I'd guess Romania?
I want to get a little servo motor to push the button on my kettle. Gonna hook it up to a TI MSP430, and a power source with a little mini breadboard, and cover it in plastic. Total NigRig.
What do I need to buy?
I think a stepper motor will draw too much power.
Seems like it could easily become fail-deadly. Even if your own thinks works perfectly, I wouldn't trust the kettle's own auto-shutoff. It really shouldn't be left unwatched.
>>1194566
i just want to do it from the other room is all, but thanks for the concern anon

Looking to sound proof my room any tips/links to places to buy the needed things (I can't put up new dry wall its an already built room)

this topic is always coming up and no-one has any workable ideas which dont involve adding extra walls. you can try blankets but it wont help much.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed, Well even methods that don't work so well like some proper foam to put up to at least dampen it.
foam and egg crates are great for reducing echoes but they dont do anything to stop sound escaping.
im planning to create setup like in pic. a i have a question which i ask in next post
can i use this psu to power AND ground this?
i think there is + and - wires in that psu, so can i use positive gable to get that 5-12v and negative cable to ground everything?
>>1194493
whoops. wrong pic
this is correct one
>>1194490
yeah, connect both the yellow and red to +5V on the charger, and black to ground. you can even power the RasPi from the same charger if you're feeling brave. pin 2 is +5V power input, but it means you're bypassing the fuse and reverse-voltage protection. if you wanna make use both of those protections, then insert power using a micro-USB cable powered from your charger. make sure you get all polarities right. you *need* a voltmeter.
My mom lost the key to a little photochest.
Any tips on how to open it without destroying it?
It's an old style lock with a pin in the middle for the base of the key. Looked at some lockpicking stuff but can't find anything for this particular style.
I can 3d print if that's one of the solutions.
>>1194472
Bend a tip of wire to 90 degrees and rotate in keyhole. Some trial an err needed to find right lenght of the tip.
It's a useless fucking box, smash it.
>>1194476
SMASH IT!!!

>Polystyrene Cladding
what i saw when you put only plaster on it its not vandal proof you can punch a hole in it and birds can make nest in it and so on
also i read the new isolation standard is som mix of fibers(Glass wool?) and polystyrene or somthing like that so you dont need like 15cm+ thick polystyrene
It increases R-value and airtightness. It also brings the dewpoint (the point where moist air condenses into water) out closer to the outside and on to the right side of the vapor barrier.
Looking to upgrade my air impact wrench, narrowed it down tl the harbor freight earthquake or the IR thunder gun. The IR is about $60 more at current prices. Which should I get?

Alright gents,
My westinghouse tv started flipping channels on its own , then turned off randomly . At first i was thinking the power problem was due to the power plug(its essentially like a laptop charger) malfunctioning but after using a similar plug (it seemed to work for a while) but alas it started just shutting off
Options
1: open it up and check the circuitry and attempt to repair it
2: and i preface this with I have no idea if this is possible; but i would be ok with turning it into a monitor for my pc
Anyone have experience with either? Tbh i would rather re purpose it into a monitor as the screen is intact and it seems to be a circuitry issue. would it be easier to just buy a kit and make it into a pc monitor?
>>1193888
I mainly posit the 2nd option because i recently came across a video of a guy converting a laptop screen into a monitor , that being said i assume the tv would work the same no?
Have you tried turning off bluetooth?
>>1193888
You don't turn it into a monitor. It already is a monitor with some extra circuitry and computer inside it. You can't remove any of that, because it's all on one board. You could remove the panel and drive it with other boards, but a decent 1080p monitors (IPS even) start at $100 new and the tv panel may be too laggy, bright, blurry, etc.
If you're certain it's not being played with over bluetooth have a look at the capacitors after leaving it unplugged several minutes. They can be bulging or burst if they've failed. White globs on the boards are supposed to be there to make it more sturdy. If a failed capacitor is the cause, it's a very cheap fix.

right handers should be offed.
>>1193676
Meh, I'm right handed, but I'd buy it just because it's makita, and will likely last more than a few months.
No one gives a shit how you look when you cut lumber.
That being said having a left and a right handed saw available when framing a hip roof is almost a necessity now, listen to the old guys that have been doing this shit for their entire adult life and steal all their tricks.
