Actually that is relatively cheap by commission standards. There's a slew of people out there with a lot lower skill quality who get away with charging more. Comics are tend to be cheaper than individual commissions because they,'re intended for a general audience and meant to be sold en mass. Also it's the artist own ideas and They can pretty much draw it whenever they feel like.

Commissions on there hand are more contractual in nature, have stiffer constraints and parameters, requires a certain level of trust amongst strangers, with a possibility of 0 pay off, and at best will only be paid for once by 1 person.

There are a lot of high quality artists that are inactive (petite emi) or just rarely putting our work (Eskoz, mrishimaru). I'm not good with names so I can't think of more besides Utopia.

Also I disagree with pogojo/karbo/jora bora just because their style is silly instead of sexy, and they don't seem to be improving their quality much... more so just spamming pictures. Acerok is improving a lot... and I never thought karbo's art was particularly of a high quality. The coloring is pretty ugly usually and the proportions are wat.
