Story. I find these sorts of things easily depressing. I mean sure the guys an ass, but you'd have to be a sociopath to get revenge that way. I also tend to also put my self in the guys place so there's that too. I know its just a story, but I over think things too easily and the story gets stuck in my head. Wanted the summary to hopefully get it out of my head and decide if I want to keep reading. Its no big deal.

you'll notice i mostly try to get 1 text field for each bubble.
sometimes splitting into more text field would look better, and allow for better placement of the words, or ending the sentence strategically.
but instead i try to "cheat" with the resize, or adding spaces or placing dots to align text. all in the name of getting to the end faster hahaha.

frankly i have totally no idea how to translate " onomatopés" the words in comics to mimic sound... they are not word, just ... sound...


so that "mmmh" in that context, would be the sound you make when you exhale more profoundly than usual, but not loud, with the mouth shut.

i think a "sigh" would imply the mouth open.

i would have thought if you try pronouncing it in english... it would be the same.

say " mmmmmmmmmm" with a bit of extra air [ the h], and you get the sound the word tries to illustrate
but even then, the breathing sound [ hh hhh hhh ] she has her mouth closed, and the mmmmm sound, she is drawn with the mouth open.
maybe i read comic wrong ? hahahaha

Yup! The PSDs are a really good base because you've already done most of the hard work.

I've been tweaking some dialogue to make it flow better, as well as trying to equally space the text in the speech bubbles to match the original positioning. It's a slow and therapeutic process, but no real rush.

i'm pretty sure it looks more retarded in english the way i'm doing it, but i think it was also the intent of the original. Probably not to the degree i'm translating it however, because i'm wrecking thoses sentences with a french mindset...

The sentences are pretty mangled in french too, and i think i even spotted what looks like an error in french that wasn't intended.... only because i had to stop and think about how to translate it... because while reading it i didn't noticed it

You're probably not the only one. Earlier in the story I would have made a comment along the lines of "two wrongs don't make a right". But Beatrice hasn't really improved the situation, even though a long time has passed. She just seems bent on the revenge/hostage/domination thing.

She needs to acknowledge Gisele as a human and start making amends for the two of them. There's no other way to reconcile this situation.

I guess we'll have to see how the party goes, but I don't think this story will end on a light note.
