I do not know how often I said that Ruby having silver eyes had a special meaning since the firrst episode and how I was denied. And it seems not to be maiden power at that, rather something that predates even those powers from what Qrow said.

Concerning Velvets power, it is most likely a combination of her weapon and semblance and the number of uses and duration is limited by the number of photos (indicated by what Coco said in season two and three).

We never got a Ruby Yang combination move, but maybe we will get Ruby Nora.

I don't know why, but I feel that has the potential to be the best, most naturally forming relationship in the show, but it'll need a lot of time to do right.
