God I hate this shitty fanbase and their gay logic for not loving Torchwick. Who cares if he was ultra-mega-powerful or not? Since when is that the measure of a good, well-written villain? He had more character than Cinder, Mercury, Emerald, and Adam combined. He was loveable, witty, flawed and bad ass, often taking on the main characters virtually by himself and holding his own. He was consistent and way cooler than Cinder whose most villainous trait is talking too calmly. I think it was a huge mistake to kill him off, if they killed him off, especially now as the character writing is getting cheasier and the only thing compelling about Adam is "oooh he sooo mysterious!"

Please bring him back at some point down the line, he is the best character this show had by far. He needs to be involved in the finale.

From what Blake told her friends it didn't sound like he was abusive towards Blake. Or to anyone, initially. He just began killing a couple of people for a good reason and it all went down the slippery slope while he kept assuring Blake everything was fine.

His character (or lack of thereof) is just so jarring, it doesn't make any sense right now. He was stiff and serious in the trailer, we saw he was willing to work for a human if it meant furthering the faunus cause or preventing their deaths in that flashback episode, and now he's just an abusive ex douche. To be fair, RTAA is 1 person and an intern. They hardly take up any of that.
Plus I'm sure most of the RWBY team will be working at least partially on RvB until V4 gets out of pre-production and M&K have at least some of the script worked out. Kerry did say they get a week off, so I wouldn't expect them to start V4 animation until ~April, except guys like Joel and Dillon who work mostly on fights. They probably have the main fights for each volume worked out a bit in advance.
