WHY? They have other comics to adapt why rely solely on Marvel and DC books. I like how some of Image's titles have breaking out into the mainstream and gotten adaptions like The Walking Dead and soon Vertigo's Preacher but I really want to see studios creating other cinematic universes. Valiants would be really cool to see if it ever does actually happen though the only reason I see it not even hitting the screens is because the casual movie goer doesn't know why Valiant are and this is why we get Marvel and DC all the time because they are safe, easy money household names you can market to every Tom, Dick and Harry.

Aren't the comics sales we see only floppies from brick and mortar shops? If any of my friends decide to buy a comic they go to Comixology or Amazon if they don't mind waiting. I kinda just wait for trades. People are complaining about comics dying but if my friends see a character they like in a film, they don't go to a comic shop. They buy or download it online, it's the way most media is going these days with one day delivery, digital copies, streaming etc.

I know at this point I should be tired of cape movies, but I'm still excited about them. They're fun cinema experiences, especially if you have friends to go with.

In the LotR movies they use a lot of perspective tricks to make the hobbits seem really small, it's in the extras- it's really interesting. Basically what they did was have Ian Mckellan sit close to the camera and the hobbits sit at a separate table a couple of metres further away and then use a specific camera angle to make it look like the hobbits and Gandalf were sitting right next to each other but because the hobbit actors were a lot further away they looked smaller. In the pic Dwayne Johnson is further away from the camera than Vin Diesel so he looks smaller, he is also bending slightly. I'm sorry if I've explained this badly.

If we're talking about Marvel in general, either Spiderman or Spiderman 2
If we're talking MCU specifically, then TWS or GotG. I mean, my overall favourite is probably TWS but sometimes GotG feels more... sentimental? I dunno, that scene where Peter allucinates his mom is still gut-punching for me. People always focus on the jokes, but the movie had great drama

From DC i'd guess probably Batman Returns, but Begins and Superman II (Donner's cut, i guess) come pretty close

It wont increase the sales of comic books. If anything, there will be an increase in faggots who claim to be fans of superheroes, but turn out to just watch the movies. If anything, there will also be an increase in stupid fan pairings of our Marvel and probably DC heroes--because there will be a massive bandwagon of people becoming fans of the comics. Honestly, someone actually told me at a comic book shop, that they think the comics are lame and the movies are superior, and how she only goes for Team Captain America because of how he makes a cute couple with Bucky. I'm scared of the people that will ruin the comics and heroes I grew up with.
