Any good /co/Tubers?
I like pic related when he goes into comics history and theories, but a lot of his videos are just explaining things to causals.
>shelf of quirky merchandise
I don't think so.
This is the only acceptable answer but he's gone way up his own ass. Doesn't help he outed himself as a crossdresser.
He talked about buying a dress from hottopic, and got defensive when people asked him about it, saying "there's no such thing as girl clothing". Also you can see nail polish in his videos.
>shelf of quirky merchandise
He's pretty good when talking about stuff that's actually interesting. I just hate subscribing to him, because 2/3 videos are him explaining the comic counterparts of recent movies.
I'm pretty sick of the complete lack of quality for comic videos and reviews. To the point that I'm finally gonna do my own. I'm working on a Grayson review at the moment.
I mean, who knows if it'll be good, but at least I'm TRYING.
FN Pryde used to be possibly the only person that did decent reviews, but she stopped doing youtube a couple years back.
I watch Black Nerd Comedy. I especially like his TMNT episode reviews.
And I'm slowly but surely moving through Linkara's AT4W episodes as well. He's a dork but I find his awful Power Ranger fanfiction stories entertaining. His storylines go so over the top with the 'nerd e-reviewer gets attacked' sorts of skits that it goes into the So Bad Its Good territory.
I'll also watch comicbookgirl19 once in a great while.
Black nerd is nothing but a hype machine. I unsubbed the other day. If you aren't excited about everything related to things you like regardless of quality, Black Nerd is for you.
God I hate that mentality, it's what kills almost all comic podcasts/channels for me.
It's like you're either a total hype addict or a pretentious indiefag. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love my pretentious indiefag podcasts, but sometimes I just wanna hear about capeshit, ya know?
I officially dropped Razorfist yesterday. Too much of a faggot Marvel shill.
>complained about DC's SJW shit with Batwoman and said DC sucks in general despite obviously barely reading any DC
>has never said a word about the rampant SJW faggotry going on over at Marvel
He said Waid's DD was awful, but that's the extent of his Marvel criticism. So fuck that faggot.
I unsubbed and unfollowed his social media after his Suicide Squad trailer "review" where he watched the trailer three times in a row, just screeching at it. What the hell was that shit?
>youtube comic "explainers"
I hate them so much. I knew of one good YT channel and they don't upload any more, all the rest are cancer.
Why are there so many more youtube channels about comics than there are about cartoons?
There's like 2 about cartoons while every channel that wants to be "lol im so nerdy look at me LOOK AT ME" has to talk about comics.
The better question why there isn't no Radio-drama comic-books videos?
I like voice actors playing characters and showing us the comic.
Sorry, but every channel I've seen is infected by movie/tv bullshit. That's how they get their views. Go ahead, really, show me a channel that only talks comics, I'd be happy to subscribe.
I watch RebelTaxi but he's starting to annoy me. He's so full of himself, he's a huge try hard, and his art style is average. The colors are nice but that's it. The shape of his characters don't have any consistency. His editing is average. He just knows which colors and fonts to use. I wish he would just show cool things without talking about himself for just ONE video. And his "jokes"... God, they're so bad
Yeah, Jim is one of my favorite members of the podcast. He always brings all this extra knowledge that I would have never considered and he just seems so chill. Nolan seems like he doesn't want to be part of the podcast anymore. He rarely talks now.
I really like ComicDrake; it's a little simplistic for stuff I already know but it's great for stuff I've already read. Not too many jokes, though.
ComicPOP, on the other hand, is fantastic and I love watching/listening to Back Issues/Tangents. It's just this guy explaining the stories of different comics and other people react, ask questions, and go off on discussions that are sometimes only partially related, but always funny. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGEmhfm9OwY
>tfw based Ken is now gone
>Nolan is probably gonna drop out soon now
Pls, don't let this happen God. I don't wanna lose another great Podcast after Podtaku :(
that was the traditional color for narration boxes. making them yellow was used as a visual cue that he was talking to the readers as well
I used to really like her, but recently she's backed off from doing comic reviews, or big GoT histories, or other stuff that requires effort and is only shilling her calendar or talking about the last thing she saw on netflix.
I dig her x-man histories but I ain't paying $15 bucks for something she used to do for free.
Even based Sal? Idk if I would call him a casual, but the fact that the others are is basically the whole point of back issues. Plus I find it incredibly entertaining to see him retell shit stories like in the "Ultimatum" episode and getting the reaction of both Ben and Ethan.
