wew lad. Incase you didn't know, the way editorial divisions work at Marvel is that revenue is distributed amongst the group. Inhumans are part of the X-men Editorial Group so high selling x-men books just mean that they can keep low selling inhumans books around longer without having to cancel them. The higher the "tentpole" books sell, the lower the third string books can go without needing cancelled.

If Avengers sells really well then the extra revenue from that props up things like Captain Marvel.

Same with X-men and Inhumans. X-men sales are directly going to keeping the inhumans alive.

The issue with the Richards kids is that Val is canonically supposed to be the most intelligent person to ever live and Franklin is the most powerful to ever live. One is a beyond omega tier reality warper, and the other out-smarts Reed and Doom at age 4. Having them be 18 would be "why doesn't Franklin just fix every problem" and "why doesn't Reed (in this case Valeria) solve every problem" except infinitely worse. A character that can do anything and a character that can think of anything trivialize problems in the main universe. Them being kids was the crutch to explain away why they aren't just doing everything themselves, but if they were adults then that's not an option.

Ideally, they'd do a Future Foundation book about the FF traveling around the post-SW multiverse. The end of Secret Wars set up a perfect premise for a new FF book, but because of the embargo, they're not capitalizing on it.

Of course, I don't trust any of Marvel's current writers with a premise that good. Maybe Ellis, but I'd want more than 6 issues ideally.
