Anyone else not excited for this?
I'm trying to like it but i just can't It doesn't feel like a cap sequel at all
/co/ has been super tsun-tsun for this movie lately, and it's getting annoying.
Especially since everyone is going to suck its dick once it comes out, and then after two weeks say it's the worst film ever made.
I'm just tired of this shit.
I just want to watch the movie.
I know that the crux of the conflict is because of Cap and Bucky, but it does almost seem more like Avengers: Civil War than Captain America: Civil War. Then again, that may just be because the marketing is trying to hype people up about all the cameos.
>"It doesn't feel like a cap sequel at all"
Except it does. They're just showing all of the 'Team Cap' and 'Team Iron Man' stuff to generate buzz and attention, and if you can't see that then you need to wake up. It's still focusing on Cap, it's still focusing on Bucky. It's not Avengers 2.5. It's a Captain America movie.
Doesn't feel different from AoU, cameos are most anticipated element.
It's really just being tired of the current phase desu. We've had the current core cast of characters for nearly 10 years now and its just boring. Tired of Cap, Tony and Thor being the main focus. Black Widow and Hawkeye are played out.
War Machine would do great for a solo movie (but can't have RDJ being overshadowed, can we?) and Scarlet Witch is boring. Vision is boring.
We need a new dynamic of characters to make things seem fresh.
>Cap's team is full of criminals
>Ant-Man's a thief
>Bucky's a murderer
>SW is little miss terrorist
probably a gangster in disguise, also a general asshole.
>Hawkeye's ok I guess.
I can't get over the fact that it's essentially a stop gap until Infinity War, like Ultron was. It won't mean much in the long run.
It's essentially the secret war (80's) of comic book movies. No real reason for the movie to exist other than to have heroes beat each other up, introduce bp & spiderman, and shill for toys.
The whole world was betting their asses claiming that ant man was gonna be marvel first blunder because the production was a mess and they fired that meme director wright
You know, the ant man movie was supposed to be the first movie of the MCU, not iron man. (or some shit like that)
It would probably be better for me if they actually gave us reason to care about the two sides fighting. Seems too soon to be properly invested.
I think I just don't like movies vs TV though.
yes I remember Ant-man was supposed to be a part of phase 1 and come sometime at or around Iron Man's release.
I thought people thought GotG was going to be the first blunder because nobody knew who they were outside comic book readers
I can't wait for Maskless Zemo to make his glorious appearance.
Surely he'll be a great marble villain and a major part of the movie.
>it doesn't feel like a Cap sequel at all
It is in that it will focus more on Cap than anyone else. Yes, Tony will likely get his fair share of screentime since, let's be honest, he's the villain in this one. But because of Bucky's central role to the plot and Cap's impossible-to-disagree-with idealism, this movie will likely be The Winter Soldier 2, with Tony as the villain.
I don't think it'll be so much about Cap as it will be following Cap.
I'm not excited for any movie right. Now, I'm going to see deadpool tomarrow night and cap the day it comes out but the comics ruined the movies for me...
Yeah, that too.
People underestimate the power of the marvel formula, claiming that it is all meme and quips and yet they post on a board where people believe in meme magic and unironically or ironically worship a meme frog that will bring the end of the world.
The MCU is fail proof, its a infinite money machine, and it will only stop when it collapse agaisnt itself, and it will bring the whole cape movie genre with it. There will be nothing left when the bubble burst.
I desperaty want to belive that m8 but at this point its more than obvios that this sis Avengers 2.5 more than a Cap Movie.
nad this is coming from some one who loves Winter Soldier. this movie its gonna be a huge success for all the whrong reasons.
Im not sure how I feel. I still want it to be a cap 3, but I want it to be Avengers 2.5 as well.
Part of me hopes they got working on the concepts/plot/story of the movie when Wheddon wasn't budging on some of his ideas for AoU. They realized.... we need an apology after AoU. Like Fiege or disney said..... "we need a good avengers film before Infinity war, we can't cram the avengers into any of the 2017 films, Cap can do it, Cap is the hero we all deserve in the MCU and in the real world, he will deliver us a non-shitty ensemble film"
Im trying to but I find myself only interested in Black Panther, Spider Man, and Ant Man going giant size. Civil War wasnt that great of a comic and I find the 12 people going at it with strained weak friendships just........eh? Im afraid its going to be more about Bucky and not about the government regulating the Avengers too. But I like the directors so Im somewhat invested
>implying Marvel will let their precious RDJ be seeing in a negative light
>implying they're not willing to subtly make Cap the villain in his own sequel for the sake of ironmanlet's popularity
It doesn't feel like a Cap movie
at most, It feels like what an Avengers film should've been in the sense of centering in Cap more than IM
When it went from a Captain America sequel to Iron Man 6, I completely lost interest. Now that I see they're making Tony the good guy and Cap and Bucky the bad guys, I'm glad I dropped it when I did.
I guess I should have clarified the main Avengers roster. Quicksilver was pretty bad too. Honestly, now that I think about it, Cap and Vision and I guess Hulk are the only characters that are tolerable. Everyone else is garbage.
Vision is an invincible barely personified flying twink and the hulk is just some pussy doing a bad impression of bill bixby's hulk.
The only person that's worth a fuck in the avengers is Cap, and Fury when he's doing the quasi evil manipulator old soldier bit.
The rest are just roster fillers or barely fleshed out additions that are just there because they have their own marvel movie.
And the less Stark the better. Don't they realize that by now.
It should be a team, not Downey and the rest of em. I like the character, but goddamn.
>hawkeye is played out
Jesus do u hear urself? Rhoedy is by far the worst character since the creation of the mcu. War machine has been around since IM 2 and ppl still dont know him. I coulndt describe his personality to you. I dont know where he stands on anything outside of liking guns on his suit. Meanwhile you complain that hawkeye is played out? Lol neck yourself fool. Clint has only ever done anything in one movie.
>B-but he had a family that took up five minutes of screen time and ruined muh AOU
>And the less Stark the better. Don't they realize that by now.
They realized that after a dozen movies, they can only break a billion dollars at the box office if RDJ is starring in the movie. So now he's just going to be in everything until RDJ dies from drowning in his room full of gold coins.
Can't say I'm "excited" but I am intrested in seeing why most of the New Avengers abandon Cap. Must be some sort of huge fuck up for them to join sides and try and kill each other. If it's all about Bucky and one of the Avengers dies over this then these people aren't heroes
This is sort of true, but I think a lot of it is that people who like something only need to praise it for a few days before becoming content with it.
People who hate something can always find new complaints.
It's funny, because I'm a huge Winter Soldier fan, and I've been waiting for Cap 3 ever since I saw the second movie. But somewhere around the time AoU came out, I've lost that hype and just don't feel it anymore. I'm quite excited about BvS right now, maybe after that comes out I'll be able to turn my attention back to Civil War.
Calling it this is the scene where Spiderman makes his entrance
we don't need those people.
we don't need these 'celebrities' either. from now on no one is getting paid more than 1 million per movie, and everyone who doesn't like it can make their own damn movies
