Nah. I use to prefer TDK when I was more of a casual but after reading Year One, I realised how accurate and how much more enjoyable it was as a Batman fan. TDK felt less Batman and more crime thriller with a couple of cheesy costumes, although I won't deny Ledger's performance was great. I don't understand why people on /co/ especially are so hyped-up about this movie. They're not even really adapting anything in particular from the comics except that one small part in TDKR in a totally different context and lolo Zod is Doomsday 2clever

At least the Nolan Batman films were a clever combination of different comic book storylines. This looks like meaningless garbage.

But anyway, i don't think WB is THAT scared of how the movie is gonna turn out, but i do agree that they're more or less desperately trying to win every kind of audience with all these different trailers. First it was more serious tones, "Batman vs Superman, fight!". Then there was the Doomsday trailer, kinda trying to reassure people that Batman and Superman weren't gonna be enemies by the end, and now we have a more upbeat trailer that focuses on Batman, Doomsday nowhere to be seen.
