There are near-daily threads for QC and that other webcomic. Why no Blaster Nation? Art is actually acceptable. It even has fags and lesbos and possibly a tranny, all that shit that people seem to love. Is it just too mediocre?
tfw your chubby nerd girlfriend will never be fatshamed by a spunky, bisexual roommate
>it has all these things /co/ hates
>wondering why we don't talk about it more
Plus the author is actually sane so there's nothing exceptional there either.
Honestly, I just got burnt on Blaster Nation. It's easy to talk about shitty comics because you can make fun of it, and with a really good comic there's lots of plot to discuss. Blaster Nation is just boring.
I'll admit, it doesn't help that when the comic first started the creator plugged it non-stop on /co/.
you keep shilling these threads every other day and people will start to hate it, if you want /co/ to talk about a webcomic you are going to have to present a waifu that is good enough to be flavor of the month, otherwise you will not get much discussion.
Eeeh, honestly it's a little too real for me. I know some people like that, hell I am some people like that. QC, which I dropped a while ago too, is more like the friends version of the nerd group of losers, in that it's a bit sanitized and soft focus.
BN is the better comic, objectively.
>you will never fat shame kimmy until she cries, then dip your toes in barbeque sauce and make her suck them off like the chubby piggy she is
>you will never then run a line of it up your leg, making her lick you up your leg to your penis, and then have her tonguebathe your balls of the tasty sauce, calling her a gross slutty pig who should be ashamed of how far her love of food will take her, then spit on her forehead and rub it in with her sweat and tears
>you will never wrap chubby chubby Kimmy in leather ropes to make her pudgy body bulge out in all the most embarrassing ways, and take pictures of her on your phone doing anime poses while strapped up in belts like a roast bound up in twine
>you will never fuck Kimmy, the fat slutty roast pork bitch, up her chunky booty and make her wear a nosehook to complete her pig-ification and make her squeal while you cum in her
The reason /co/ talks about QC or Willisverse stuff is to rage over the blatant tumblr pandering.
Blaster Nation doesn't really pander to anyone and does its own thing, in fact it's pretty anti-tumblr. The lesbos are a crazy person and an awful person both who jack it to Gay porn. The fag makes fun of otaku idiots and has a losing streak and the tranny is a mystery played for laughs. I wouldn't call it mediocre but its very Seinfeld in that it's just a loose froup of friends who don't really do anything except bitch about their lives.
>tfw no otaku gf to play games and collect sexy figures and make porn comics together with.
I will never not be bitter about this.
I left when it spent this endless amount of time on a bunch of new characters and the main guy's father's flashbacks.
a little more chub teasing/embarrassment and I'll pick it up again real quick.
I actually love blaster nation but I totally get why there aren't daily threads about it. It's not exceptionally good and brad and leslie seem like good sane people.
Here's him talking shit about Aaron Diaz though. That's always fun.
This. It doesn't do something incredibly amazing nor it's creators are crazy people like the likes of Jaques and Willis. They are just a happy couple doing their comic, and while it's good to read, there's nothing really to discuss about it.
I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing.
To be honest this is completely true
I love Blaster Nation, but literally everything bad about it is done worse in a different comic
And everything good is done in a different comic too
It's amazing at slice of life stuff but there's nothing really interesting to say about it other than that
Great webcomic, but not much to say other than read it because it's good
Because Blaster Nation is good. Now lets bitch about Aaron Diaz putting ketchup on his steaks!
Because it's boring and poorly written.
I use to follow BN solely because I heard it was written by an ex-4channer.
But aside from the art and quirky character descriptions, it's pretty dull.
Is there anything on slipshine actually worth subscribing for?
From the previews I've seen I'm better off funding doujin artists on melonbooks. Of course it's been ages since I've visited slipshine.
Also I hate Josh Lesnick for reasons I actually cannot remember right now.
He puts out comics really slowly? His art on You suck got really shitty? He's an annoying liberal now? He's whiny about the fact no one cares about him anymore and he's going broke?
Am I covering all the bases?
Brad used to be Donkey Kong on /v/ back in like 2007.
He was most known for his The Vidya albums (aka one of the most successful 4chan collaborations ever).
He also voiced the final episode of Half Life: Full Life Consequences.
He doesn't use the trip anymore, but he occasionally talks in /co/ about their comics.
Mainly I like how chill Brad and Leslie are.
Open about their lives, try to be expressive to fans, draw porn, are fine with porn, shit on Aaron Diaz, have fun synchtube streams every now and again.
It's a shame they apparently can't maintain their usual 3 updates a week without hired help, but I guess they make up for it by also putting out Rock Cocks as well.
At the start of this whole, Rinnie's Diet plot point, Brad said it probably wasn't going where we thought it was.
Where does /co/ think it's going?
I'm betting on Rinnie turning into a food mutant and eating/infecting the rest of the cast and causing the apocalypse before revealing it to be a dream before we get back to a real storyline.
Is a 100$ subscribtion fee worth it for slipshine? Is their stuff that good to warrant it?
Do they make 10.000 a month on Patreon? Because I'm pretty sure the reason QC gained its perma-thread status here on /co originated in the birth of Patreon and everyone finally seeing with their own eyes just how much money a mediocre webcomic like that makes. Before that it never came up, nobody bothered to discuss it just as nobody bothers discussing BN.
>Because I'm pretty sure the reason QC gained its perma-thread status here on /co originated in the birth of Patreon
QC was popular, like a lot of SoL webcomics back in 2009-2012
But 2012 was really more of a decline in webcomic appreciation, with stuff like Hathor, CAD, LICD, etc popping up
That's when we stopped talking about webcomics that are actually good and had constant threads about why Moon Over June was complete trash
we stopped talking about QC for a little bit in 2013 and 2014, but then it came back with the rise of social justice and /co/'s hate boner for all things tumblr
>Full life consequences
I actually didn't know his connections to /v/ stuff and HL:FLC, I just somewhat serendipitously watched it after one of the DKCR hell level streams and recognized his voice.
