Would people warm up to Miles if he hung around Peter as his intern / sidekick, learning a few things from a veteran hero? I really like the idea of them just being Spider-Man and Robin, this whole issue, and really anytime Peter and Miles are togeather, has really made me want a team up book with the two of them

I agree 100%, beyond Peter, I didn't care about the Ultimate Universe and never read anything with Miles featured in it other than Spider-Men and Spider-Verse, and even then, when he is wuth 616 Peter, he feels like a sidekick. Miles has certainly earned his webs, there is no argument about that, and one day he is a candidate for the mantle, but I don't feel him as Spider-Man. Spider-Teen, Lad, Boy, Spidey, Spider, Thwippy, fucking anything works for him, just not Spider-Man.

Miles fucking one shitting Blackheart after he just solo'ed the Avengers didn't help, at fucking all. The last time I liked the Venom Sting is when he channeled it through Peter's webs in Spider-Men. I say it should just be dropped and forgotten altogether, but if we have to keep Venom stings, then fucking weaken it, have its effects last only as long as Miles focuses it while touching his opponent and maybe a second after.
