Wherein again, the trigger is pulled, again, the trigger is pulled, again, the trigger is pulled...
...again, the trigger is pulled...
...again, the trigger is pulled...
...again, the trigger is pulled...
Jim Gordon SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS.
He is literally sucking right now. Sucking some Bloomfingers.
And he sucks in the other capacity as well.
Stupid, goddamn, pig ginger and his horrible pig ginger genes. Serial killers and tumblrtards pouring out of his horror shaft.
Time to see his
Didn't you know? He wrote a story in Detective Comics where it showed that in the far future, Batman created clones of himself to continue the war on crime. When a clone gets old, he activates a new clone to take his place as Batman.
Thanks for reading Batman: SUPERHEAVY part 9
>batman machine never worked on subjects even those with empty minds
>hold on now, the only way for the machine to work is to kill me and try it again on my dead and empty mind
Uhh wait a minute here
Holy hell, this was good. Thanks OP!
Also, can you guys direct me to where to start reading this run? It's fucking good. And all comics with Gordon as Batman since he is pretty cool.
Also, what is going on with Superman? How did he lose his powers? Why the hell did Louis reveal his identity? Why is she getting off scott-free from any sort of punishment for being a total bitch?
I think that Bruce said those were simulations that died, so this was the first application on an actual body.
Don't say that please. Just once a week let me empathize with a fucking comic book story, alright?
I was talking about both. Cause that is not what Batman is ever supposed to be. It is not a Batman that could inspire people, not a Batman that Superman could call his best friend.
Fair enough, I'll give you that the dialogue is pretty garbage.
It's just that these two pages
really stuck out to me because either I've been reading the wrong Batman comics or it seems like Alfred's emotions towards Batman aren't really touched upon in depth. It struck a chord for me
This was really bad. I knew it was going to be underwhelming regardless, but I didn't realize how much.
I'm getting real sick of whiny Alfred, too. He's allowed to have pathos, but when it overwhelms nearly all of his characterization it's a bit tiring.
On a similar note, I still can't believe Snyder cut off Alfred's hand for so far no other reason than to give us awkward art moments like >>79736599. What was the point? I've been waiting patiently for the payoff but I'm beginning to think he just did it for the kicks.
I've been reading it as just another title on my pull list, so I haven't really been giving the nuances much thought until now.
But now that I'm thinking about it, I can see where you and everyone else is coming from. It's my fault for not analyzing the previous issues better.
Snyder really doesn't like Damian.
Back when he first came out, that would've been understandable. Everyone was afraid of writing the little bastard. Nowadays, everyone has a good handle on him.
>I hope Bruce is asking alfred where his son is in 50
I'm afraid, Master Bruce. That Damian has found himself trapped in...the Friend Zone.
He doesn't use the Robin either, why are Damainfags so butthurt about this?
The way you guys go on about this Damian should have a cameo in all of Batman issues and whenever he's not in any page Batman should ask where Damian's at.
1. What happened to his beard?
2. How did Julie know he was Batman when even he didn't know? Why the fuck wouldn't she have told him?
3. Does this mean all this time as a regular Joe is just gone and forgotten?
4. Why is Alfred being such a selfish bitch?
5. The whole thing with Julie seems completely random. She came out of nowhere and hasn't really been much of a character at all, yet apparently she's the love of his life, destined to close the loop on Bruce forever?
Also I love Paquette, but I'm REALLY missing Capullo's art here.
I also wondered about that machine ...
-Problems of trust with its partners?
-did not see them at their level? believed that
-they would leave or die before reaching the time to retire?
I find it best as he did in Batman Brave and Bold .. It was time Batman's cape and change of ownership, Dick Grayson and finally Damian Wayne.
Yes, boring ... The next issue should go fast, get Batman's cape, preparing Batrobot Endgame (the robot who fought against JL), if go for Bloom.
I saw it on the twitter of Greg Capullo, batman will use the batrobot of endgame against Gigant Bloom.
Lol it shaved his face too. Welcome back Bats.
He's not back, this is some kind of monster he made out of himself to continue Batman's legacy. Batman without Bruce is like Superman without Clark Kent. If they don't address how he's half a person now it'll be terrible.
The man runs a state of the art technology company, lives in a mansion, is rich, and cant by Alfred a state of the art prosthetic. Even just a claw or something, nah just lets him walk around with a stump. In the real world we have robot hands already this is a comic book were they have legitimate robots
>clone Batmans, but the trauma of living his life drives them mad and kills them
So it's that one time the Skrulls made clones of Deadpool and their cancer ended up killing them, only played for drama
1. this is like the iron man arc were Tony erased his mind so Osborn couldn't get it and they used a hard drive to bring him back but his memory was spotty.
2. this would all be worth it if Bruce immediately gets up and drop kicks Julie thinking shes an intruder in the cave since he doesn't remember her now
3. Can he get Alfred a fake hand now
Shit. I thought it was going to be Dick. Would've been cool.
Julie wasn't a bad choice, though.
Snyder's Batman is always so exposition heavy, but I'm indifferent to it after reading this for so long. I will say, I really, really liked this issue. As a Dickfag, I think it could've been done even better by including any of the Robins, especially Dick, or at least Damian.
Why not just call Superman or the Justice League and let them handle it?
Fuck, if Batman got torn to shreds on live TV, why aren't other superheroes flocking to the scene?
So now Snyder isn't even subtle about copying Morrison. It's like a shitty version of how Batman escaped the omega sanction. Also the no one can handle Batman's memories come from Morrison's three ghosts of Batman. Snyder is so in your face about the Batman mythos about how Bruce has to die for Batman to be born and about him being Alfred's son. I hope King can have a new take on the book.
I expected this to be good in the beginning; didn't mind the Bruce-Alfred parts either and the last issue gave me high hopes. But the way he becomes Batman was retarded and so was this issue.
Why was the human mind not strong enough for Batman, but Bruce Wayne's (whose mind was human) was?
Why did it work on this clone if it wasn't supposed to work on any?
Does this clone have the decades of physical training the original Bruce had?
Yeah it's really sad. Stripping away the best parts of the best Batman run without understanding why they work and their context within the story and also without adding anything new.
I think the clones this brain machine was intended to be used upon would have been aged to 27 years old. It's being used on 32 year-old Bruce though, and it's restored his memories to the last save point, which was before the Endgame finale.
Do much of what Snyder has done has been things to "leave his mark" on the batman mythos. Court of owls being an integral part of Gotham, Duke and Harper, and Alfred's hand all fall into that category.
. How did Julie know he was Batman when even he didn't know?
Same reason Duke know. Just cause SNyder wanted them to be the ones helping Bruce become Batman again instead of his actual family.
>4. Why is Alfred being such a selfish bitch?
Alfred would rather not have Bruce be Batman. He'd rather him live a normal life. Snyder is playing it up a lot for drama.
>5. The whole thing with Julie seems completely random. She came out of nowhere and hasn't really been much of a character at all, yet apparently she's the love of his life, destined to close the loop on Bruce forever?
Snyder is a hack. She's special because he says so.
Dammit Bruce, just give Alfred one of these
Batman and Joker died in each other's arms in a puddle of blood shaped like a heart but actually survived without their memories. Meanwhile Jim Gordon is robot Batman and there's a guy called Mr. Bloom.
Right? I fucking hate Snyder, but this was great. Felt more like Morrison than anything.
Morrison Run: Batman and Robin will never die!...because the idea of Batman is so powerful someone will always be there to take up the mantle.
Synder Run: Batman will never die!...because Bruce Wayne is even more psychotic than previously thought, and built a fucking Batman making machine in the cave.
Nice misinformation, fag, he's still writing Batman for another year at least. Capullo is leaving for an arc or two while he draws some Millar book and he may or may not be back.
