They are hyping this event how much of a let down is this event going to be
Aren't pretty much every comics news sites owned/ran by publishers? I mean, BleedingCool is owned by Avatar Press yet I don't see people bitching about BC hyping up Moore's new anthology comic at Avatar Press. ComicVine is owned by CBS which distributes DC's live action shows. Hell, you want to go down the rabbit hole, RottenTomatoes is owned by Warner Bros. CBR was created as a spin-off to a DC fan forum.
Most media is owned by conglomerates.
>BleedingCool is owned by Avatar Press
Welp, that is more disgusting that all the Crossed books.
>CBR was created as a spin-off to a DC fan forum
Corporate ownership is no excuse for such shoddy quality.
The Comics Journal is owned by Fantagraphics, but for decades it was the ONLY serious and respectable name in comic news coverage.
It may have turned into amateur hour when it switched from the print version to the e-version, but it still has more integrity than any of those sites.
Apparently you've never heard of something referred to as "punctuation".
>how much of a let down is this event going to be
Its just going to be Otto coming back to life. That or something equally stupid like Uncle Ben or Gwen.
Regardless of who it is, it'll last for 6 or 7 issues and then be undone and never acknowledged again. Just like all of Slott's shit "events".
Remember how much they hyped up Spider-Verse? When's the last time they even acknowledged it happening in story?
Worst case scenario: It's Gwen Stacy.
Best case, only possible in an alternate universe where everything isn't terrible scenario: The man in red is Mephisto, "Dead No More" refers to Spider-Man and Mary Jane's marriage and/or future daughter.
Except for the one where the whole plot is filling in on universes that no longer have Spider-people after they were murdered during spiderverse to strengthen the web.
This is some shit speculating.
>Ever since Silver Sable was killed by The Rhino in "Ends of the Earth", Slott has focused on how guilty Peter feels about her death. He has obsessed over his own inability to save her and what he would do to save everyone.
No. He cared during Dying Wish and the Avengers thought SpOck was being a douche because of it. Has Sable's death even been brought up since early Superior stuff?
Oh no don't tell me a comic book publisher is retconing a character's death. Surely this is a major event never seen before.
>That's the only piece of the puzzle that hasn't quite clicked into place yet, but we have two great theories. The first of which is that this is the return of Norman Osborne as the Green Goblin.
Uhh... did the author even read the current ASM volume? Norman is already back. Hell, they even show him IN the article.
>Check the source.jpg
Pretty sure that is a pic from the new ASM where peter thinks back to that. I'd post a page but I only read ASM in storytimes so I don't have any issues downloaded
Kraven beat him to that too.
Isn't her next storyline a crossover with Spiderwoman where Jess gets stuck in her world and we're actually getting some developement around the Mary Janes?
So I don't think they'll cancel it right away. She's also in Web Warriors, right?
