The Omnibus is less than 25 bucks at instocktrades.
Why the fuck have you not bought this yet /co/?
because I don't live at USA, god fucking damnit, if my girlfriend went to USA just these days instead of one month ago she could have brought it instead of the shitty floppies I got instead
There are plenty of amazing comic runs that aren't commercially successful despite being universally acknowledged as great books.
I remember a certain Gotham MCU police drama book that had horrible sales but everyone praised it, my local comic seller didn't even stock it.
Here is a page, anon.
Was the giant thought bubble of him pouring bleach in his eyes necessary when he says he's going to pour bleach in his eyes? It just makes it less funny because they're just conveying the same thing twice in a a single panel.
>lots of people like this
>lots of people recommend it
>I don't like it bexause lots of people like it
Don't breed, you're hurting the human race...
Why? If you remove him saying "Right after I pour bleach in my eyeholes" it works 100 times better. That shit is like comic writing 101 since just by having the image there it's pretty obvious what he's doing and why he's doing it. It's just poorly executed.
Bleach is very effective
damn i really want it, but i don't know if i can dump almost 30 bucks on it in good faith because of how little i make. life is hard.
I fucking love that Spencer took a throwaway villain from Brubaker's "Zemo fucks with Bucky" arc and gave her a very solid motivation and appearance and everything. So Sheetle. Because we got this out of it. (art by Rich Ellis)
Because no matter how great one page in a comic is I'm not going to buy an omnibus for one page.
I do like how Shocker, despite getting treated like crap for most of the book, is one of the few that's actually effective at fighting heroes. He lands solid hits on Cage, uses tactics that would only work on Cage, and when Punisher shows up he's the first person that doesn't immediately run like hell.
Please, Herman's too good for that.
that's because the creative team have a solid understanding of characters (ie shocker is a doof with incredible survival instincts that allow him to get shit done when his back is against the wall) that don't fluctuate on a scene by scene basis
i want to say boomerang, but that's almost too easy. He was fucking great, his narration carried several key scenes and his character arc gave a lot more to the book than was immediately apparent.
Do you even have to ask?
Nobody will ever say Overdrive. I guarantee it.
Actually, I really liked Overdrive, he's the only one who actually wants to be a good guy, and his power is crazy fucking op, picture him upgrading GR's bike, or a Mach 8's armor, shit would be insane. I was really hoping that he'd be in the new Thunderbolts team, I still am. I loved Shocker because he's the old school badass from my childhood, but Foes was my introduction to Overdrive, he's pretty fucking awesome and I really want him to show up in more stuff
I never respected Shocker before Superior Foes, and now I do.
Beetle's involvement in Ant-man has me split though
Well, thanks for giving me the push I needed, OP. I was on the fence Iabout buying it now because I've been a little spend-crazy this payday and already have the singles. However, I decided to say screw it and let it ride. This is the first Marvel omni I've bought since... 2012? Whenever it was that I bought JMS' Thor.
He was in the background of Black Cat's stories in Amazing Spider-man after the whole Superior thing, along with Boomerang and Speed Demon (there was also a male Beetle for some reason).
i have a bunch of brazilian portuguese translated comics and the majority of them are well translated. They also have a lot of notations for references and expressions that are usually used in america and i never had trouble with them.
Also buying the Omnibus would cost me a fortune since i would have to import it.
But i did!
IF I have all the floppies, should I still get the omnibus?
I was where you are back at Highschool, needing to feel unique so I clinged to edgy stuff and tried to be difficult.
It's ok Anon, you'll find yourself and when you do we won't laugh.
Shocker for me but I love how diverse the fan favorites are in here.
So is Shocker like /co/'s new Squirrel Girl? Are we gonna lament on how he's underused for years while his popularity slowly builds up - then Marvel finally does put him in the spotlight but assigns him shitty talent for quick fan pandering?
I know, right?
