I feel as if the writers at DC feel so pressured and obsessed with making her a feminist icon, that they just keep giving her new abilities and buffs in her power. It's as if they think writing a strong female protagonists, means to make her literally strong.

If you ask me, the role of a physically strong female that's equal to Superman, should've been filled by Power Girl. But it's Wonder Woman because she's more iconic I guess. In a meta sense, Wonder Woman should really just be a person with enhanced abilities on par with Captain America. But it's really her fighting skills and mastery with magical weaponry that allows her to take on powerful beings. Giving her godlike strength, speed and durability feels like overkill.
