Aaron's late again.
I get the impression that Kirbee had a sheltered and privileged life before WW3.
She did not know about snipe hunt, doesn't know that many swear words, was easily tricked, and was unaware of urban behemoths like Hillside.
She is southern-born for sure, but maybe her full name is something like Kirbee A. Lee. A for Apex.
This just keeps getting more and more depressing for Chic.
I don't want to pull away from the Endtown discussion, but on a side note I finished the Endtown/Jasper Gold crossover a few of you requested.
Luellen and Kirbee having an afternoon coffee while Luellen tells Kirbee of her experiences working
at a bawdy house.
Yeah no problem. this was a lot of fun to do.
It's every Monday. I will be starting up school soon, and I've got another comic project in the works, so I am debating if I should change my update schedule. I've got about 6 pages inked and ready to post, but holding back for schedule sake. Depending how I'll handle my tasks at hand, I may change over to multiple pages a month rather than one page per week.
You guys are over thinking this.
-Rural town upbringing
-Daddy's little girl
-What experience would any teenage girl have with a snipe hunt? Seriously.
-POSSIBLY Kirbee was "non traditional" in a Tumblr sense. I'm thinking she might have been a wide load
-chipper, upbeat personality come from desperately wanting to fit in with her peers.
Well, we know she wasn't rich, that's fer sure
Then why would she be boggled by gated communities? Nah, I think she was just away from the main points of action.
Think of the mutagen outbreak like a zombie movie; it'll play out differently in a farm community that a city center.
"Kirbee, are you alright? Your eyes look... weird."
Because this kind of gated community is very middle class in concept. Truly rich people do not have detached houses within sight of their neighbors. Mansions and penthouses.
I am sticking with the rich upbringing theory because that kind of sheltering would help explain how she ended up near the Hillside area after WW3 without having actually seen it.
>Because this kind of gated community is very middle class in concept.
Middle-class is way too broad a term to even use anymore. People with dozens of millions of dollars don't live in gated communities. People who make a million dollars a year might. Whether that's rich or middle-class is up for debate.
>huge class concious cunt pre-mutation
>refuses to deal with her past and refuses help.
>hides her past from Wally
>endangers party repeatedly
>threatens Kirbee and Chic
>becomes psycho harpie on Wally
Oh, but somehow, someway this will work out for my waifu in the end.
>mfw Kibee is literally Charlotte
and Chick IS technically a prince
>-chipper, upbeat personality come from desperately wanting to fit in with her peers.
We would have seen cracks if that was the case.
And if you are curious about Kirbee's body type you could ask Aaron, buy given how we are probably going to learn more about her and her past then it would spoil things for you.
I can guess that if your art was really off model the Aaron wouldn't request Kirbee drawings from you.
Honestly, I was waiting until Aaron shifted back to Endtown to see where things were at. Someone in a previous thread brought up the fact that the Diner was demolished, so all of the waitresses more than likely had to find new gigs.
>I can guess that if your art was really off model the Aaron wouldn't request Kirbee drawings from you.
No artist wants fanart that is just aping their own style; you want to see how other artists handle your characters.
So it ROXIE isn't she??? absolutely excellent taste, she is a total qt.
also the dinner wasn't actually destroyed completely, maybe some broken windows and that it, i am sure they are back in business.
Hey, recently he has almost been buried alive, had his head taken by Topsiders or died of thirst and starvation.
And that is an improvement!
That... that is not what is going on. Get your minds out of the ss-gutter. Something beautiful has been developing in the background.
Gosh darn it. There is so much character development going on so who knows what is being influenced in this scene.
On the stove the following is brwing:
Holly losing her marbles.
Wally and Kirbee developing feelings for each other.
Kirbee and Chic bonding.
Wally getting prophetic dreams about I-God.
Whomever is captain of this... ship...
OH GOSH DARN IT. A sinked ship. Aaron exposed the Wally/Holly/Kirbee love triangle inside a freaking sinking ship.
heh, not exactly what i had in mind, more like she was in charge, so people knew not to fuck with her... she probably packs a six shooter, so probably no one wanted to get on her bad side... or something along those lines.
Reminder that Chic got was a whole in the wall, a trunk of Twinkies, and all the beatings he could want.
The idea of even having his own bed is foreign to him. Fuck waifus, Chic is the victim here.
i actually asked Aaron a couple questions about chic...
"Chic hasn't had time to grieve. His world has completely changed, and he's still not quite fully aware that his parents are dead (if they are, in fact, dead). Things will bubble to the surface over time, but keep in mind that, within the timeline of the strip, it hasn't been a full week since Unity burned.
Chic was kept fully apart from his siblings. He effectively had no childhood at all apart from what his mother gave him (when possible). He will have to come to terms with these things, but for now, it's moments like today's strip that will provide windows into his thinking."
This has been building for a while now, but I really want something good to happen for Chic soon. It's good that he's out of Unity, and has several responsible adults looking after him now, but I'd just like to see him get some great payoff.
>not quite fully aware that his parents are dead (if they are, in fact, dead)
On a scale of one to Sarah, how fucked up does everyone think the circumstances of Holly's loss will be?
What are the odds some meme fuck tries to turn that inevitable page into Loss 2.0 even though it won't be funny?
Choose the characters that would freely share their stash with you
not because theres no waifu wars going on, means you can die just now...
>tfw no one wants to fight you in waifu wars because waifu is obscure
What. All I did was give my interpretation of the comic. This comic is heavy on foreshadowing and we're in the middle of a Holly arc. It just makes sense. I'm not even a waifu fag, I'm in this for the storyģ journey.
Why do you gotta make it about who you want to fuck?
I've assumed for a while now (back when it holly said she had 'lost the baby') that the baby was far along enough to be conscious and therefore developed into a mutant.
no idea how Holly'd survive that though, and Wally never mentioned any scars..
>What are the odds some meme fuck tries to turn that inevitable page into Loss 2.0 even though it won't be funny?
>implying it won't
General Shmoo's Chicken
(Only Aaron could get me to do a Shmoo gag)
Hey, it's not like they don't appreciate it
this bit made me think of all the guerrilla warfare shit mutants could pull if they actually tried fighting back
projectile weaponry would be instakill
especially long-ranged rifles, just shoot one topsider and it'll slaughter the rest in the vicinity and you wont even be in any danger
find some random wood lying around, hammer a bunch of nails through it, bury it shallow in the sand just enough to hide it, wait for a topsider to walk on it
all the topsiders' fancy technology in the world wouldnt be enough to stop the mutants if they actually managed to get some sort of resistance going
I think Topsider suits are really hard to penetrate, in that scene she's using a zero scalpel. I won't go so far as to say they're bullet-proof, but I almost get the feeling that anything strong enough to penetrate them would likely kill the wearer with the impact.
Everything is relative but you have to remember that pre-war there was a lot of crazy retro-futuristic technology.
Like how transporters can repair themselves and energy weapons are fairly common.
Sorry about the censorships in the questions. They relate to a little thing I'm brewing up. But generally it was a discussion about cannibalism.
That last panel looks like something out of Infinite Tomorrows. I don't remember if that's the name of the book, actually. That one book where humanity is made into blanket people, that one.
I believe RPGAnon already said that high penetration weapons and shrapnels do penetrate the suits. But slashing weapons have a harder time. Generally anything designed to pierced is gonna be bad news for topsiders.
You...Ask alot of questions about cannibalism.
As I understand it humans taste terrible. Primative tribes that commit cannibalism only do it for ritual purposes just like covering their hands with ants.
So are you making a video game or what?
Projectiles still work there.
Ultimately, if you don't hit a vital spot, people on adrenaline can keep going long enough to be a continued threat.
In this world, that's not the case. Any shot that hit's and doesn't kill is effectively a high level monster summon that uses an enemy for a host. That's a huge weakness nobody is really exploiting.
So sayth Aaron, Topsiders use a teflon material that resists anything like a knife stab or lower. Bullets have more piercing power and can penetrate their armor. Aaron mentioned that Topsiders have an energy shield that can vaporize bullets and anyone in contact with them, that's why whenever they've tied on up they break free.
The counter point I'd like to point out about your points is that Topsiders are happy meals of monsters. The thing is that mutation is instantaneous so if you shoot a topsider and he doesn't die instantly then you have a monster that may either be the size of godzilla or a hamster. Biosuits can also resist a blast of zero radiation for a short time.
Yeah, I try to get the technical points from Aaron about Endtown things to make things accurate. As Aaron explains it the Topsiders we've seen are pretty much morons. He keeps hinting whenever that comes up that there might be other topsiders with different values and maybe different tech.
I am really curious as to what you are doing!
And if you're making an rpg book I will shiv your kidney.
Anyway I've been kinda not keeping touch with /co/ in awhile. For the most part this week I've been making notes before implementing new wrestling mechanics. I also am working on making the item crafting simpler but right now I've got squat to show.
This is totally unrelated to me playing xcom2 excessively.
Test Session 23: Operation Wicked Parry.
Email me at:
Today's image is the wad of notes I've made over the weekend, half of them anyway. I took up writing on both sides.
RPGAnon, don't thread there. Those are dangerous grounds. I've been through enough DnD games to know wrestling is nothing but trouble
>Endtown RPG with Grapple rules
>Roll into town with a Mimic Octopus character
>Proceed to alternate between Solid Snake and Sabin on everyone
>Not a single soul was left unsuplexed when I left town
So yeah, I can see your point.
> Everett Pillory: ((WE CAN HAVE OUR OWN COLONY!!!))
> Everett Pillory: ((WE COULD BE KINGS... NOT KINGS...))
> Martin Baron: ((Overthrow corrupt mayor, we all get a chunk of the city and make it our own as a council or something.))
