>you will never be Oscar Issac choking the fuck out of Jennifer Lawrence
Is that a blue fishnet suit she's wearing or something?
either nothing and OP is a fag that took a screen shoot of the Super Bowl commercial and of course is going to turn out to be an awkward frame.
Or the fact that this is the first time we have seen JLaw in blue for this movie, I think?
Of course you're blue. That's my attack!
Nyeh heh heh heh!
She didn't care in the last film either. She sleepwalked through DoFP because she's not getting paid as much as she thinks she's worth.
Probably blaming sexism for it as she walks around on set even though they signed the contract before she was worth millions
Ahahaha, wow, and I though BvS looked questionable, there is no question about this one. This looks so bad, it's laughable, not suspenseful at all. Fox Interns will still say this is going to be the best cape movie of 2016 though.
I miss Rebecca Romijn
Yeah, they were going for a Chameleon look I think.
He's proved himself as an actor multiple times AND he's a main character on a fucking SW trilogy (a character that people really liked, no less). I wouldn't worry about him.
He is not a main character in SW... dude he was going to fucking die in the first movie and the asspull that JJ did to bring him up was ... well a fucking asspull.
He is right now a secondary character.
Oh she already has. She was in some movie with Bradley Cooper and bitched about how the gender wage gap was real because she was paid less (she was still paid millions of dollars for a role with far less screen time than Cooper who was the main star of the film).
She comes off as incredibly self-absorbed, attention-starved and very, very dumb.
I know she did that, but I just meant she's probably blaming her lack of pay due to sexism rather than due to the contract.
"If I was a man they'd have changed the contract to pay me what I'm worth after Hunger Games!"
I admire Rebecca Romijin for going through that makeup and being pretty much nude, not easy at all but she was a total trooper and nailed the sexiness and poise of Raven.
JLaw comes across as awkward and slumming it.
You say that but don't deny your true feelings
jlaw just wears a blue bodysuit while romijn had the full head to toe naked blue and scales. also rebecca's paint was a different type and a lot more poisonous than jlaw's paint. fatface might be allergic but romijn's makeup was slowly killing her, I heard she was vommitting blue at times.
Well Rebecca Romijn is/was a model and it's not like Mystique was a speaking role really so it was likely just a matter of translating model-style sultriness into acting. She did it well though.
Well, fuck. Maybe they'll cover her a ton in CGI with her powers flickering? Because that is some BAD acting right there. Fuck the company wars, that is legit shit tier acting, and she should be ashamed of that.
She's had like two good films and I think they were flukes, considering the rest of her work. Hopefully her making fun of a foreign guy shed some light how she's a bit of a cunt too. Her I'M SO QUIRKY act is getting old, I think she's just a drunk that can't do shit.
I think the main reason JLaw being in these movies and being shit is so infuriating is because Mystique is the one character they've got in the X-Films with a literal built in excuse for changing actors. So there was never a reason to sign her for more than one movie in the first place.
They could have a different woman playing her in every movie and just have her say "I don't like sticking with one look"
I mean, the 'sexiness' of course came easy to her, but movie Mystique actually requires a lot physical acting overall, and Romijin I thought was REALLY good there. She did and said a lot just with body language, which not everyone can do.
She's certainly a better Mystique than JLaw has ever been.
Apparently in Silver Linings Playbook, which won her the Oscar. I've never seen it, but nothing else I've seen her in has given me the impression that she can deliver an Oscar-worthy performance
What do you expect from someone that thinks calling someone fat in media should be illegal and regulated?
This apocolips sucks. I liked it when he was a big funny guy with a cranky fish face and a head shaped like a gumdrop
Well, because the movie itself did.
Magneto's mother's death, for instance, should be dramatic, but it looked like some comedic sketch about "ze funny nazis" and it was hard not to laugh.
They really need to make Apocalypse look more monstrous. The 2005 cinematics made him more menacing looks-wise than everything I've seen of the movie so far. I mean, Ultimate Universe leather instead of Celestial armor is a shitty choice, but still.
*video game cinematics
Have a video-game art of Storm as an apology of my fucking up.
You can always watch the Librarians, with Superior Redhead
All they need to do is find a mutant who can kick really really fast.
Her reluctance to wear the makeup is also to the detriment of the character.
One of Rebeccas only lines as herself was to tell Nightcrawler that she shouldn't have to look human.
A plot point of first class was Mystique accepting who she is and appearing blue, even if it makes others uncomfortable.
Now she doesn't even blue up for the publicity shots.
Shes more like Sydney from Alias now she just wears different wigs
That's not what he's talking about. Publicity shots as in movie posters etc. There's no blue Mystique in any for the new movie. If this is the first time you would see Mystique, you would have no idea she'd be a shapeshifter, let alone a blue one at that.
Nah, I still prefer Cummings. Maybe if I see Twinkcrawler I'll change my mind, but so far I'm not that impressed, though he does look better than the rest of the cast, apart for Jubilee
Am I in the wrong for wanting to get into reading some of Mystique's stories because of her movie design?
I'm always distracted by Mystique's weirdly fleshy mouth when compared to the rest of her relative blue-ness. Can Lawrence not just eat a blue-raspberry candy 5 minutes before filming so her tongue shows up blue as well?
Future stuff was interesting
Main story was meh save a few cool moments here and there
Mystique was Mary Sue'd as fuck (and before we start bitching about semantics, she was a sidekick villain turned into the main focus of the story, her actions affect humanity as a whole, the two main factions love her and want her on their side, that's what i'm talking about)
Outside the future scenes the movie looked cheap as fuck (from Mystique's make-up to the poor CG on the old sentinels)
The Charles and Beast cop-out prove to me Singer should let go of the franchise
Magneto's salmon suit, his helmet being suddenly made of rock, the lack of costumes in general after the good approach in First Class
I swear, if it wasn't for the admittedly efficient nostalgia bait and dark tones from the future scenes (i've seen people praising DoFP because it was "the only movie where the characters actually die" as if the time travel shenanigans weren't there) the movie wouldn't be as high regarded
In her defense, it can't be easy to make such dense exposition sound natural.
I think what you're missing here is that it's one of the longest running superhero movie franchises who turned something that is generally seen as too high-concept for movie audiences, namely time travel, and made that not only work, but made it work in an established setting that already is high concept of its own, namely superpowers. Combining two such high concept ideas into a working story, set in an established Universe, without alienating audiences is not easy, but they made it work. And that is certainly a feat.
I have no idea what you're talking about, there was nothing strange or particularly difficult about the time travel in DoFP, there wasn't even the usual time paradox stuff like "you can't do X otherwise you'd alter the entire future for worse!"
It was a clear and simple "go back and tell that blue bitch not to do a thing, then we're good"
The only confusion and complications are going to come from the next movies where people will start wondering how stopping a mutant holocauste makes certain characters be born before they should have, or how the events affected Wolverine's story, which was the most complicated one and now Mystique is super important in that too
I just watched First Class. It was pretty okay, but why did they replace Mystique's previous actor with that bitch from Hunger Games of all people? She can't act and she's so unsexy it's baffling.
Munn looks great as Psylocke. Probably the best part of the trailer showing her slicing through the car. Fuck the haters. They had better show her shoving a fucking Psychic Knife into motherfuckers foreheads and shit.
>actress cant play character who is literally ageless because she's younger
>characters power is to turn into anyone
I'm a little worried, because a lot of the shots don't look like they belong in the film naturally. Like those low angle shots of Psylocke and Storm and that Angel shot all look like they're opening cutscene material.
>It was a prequel
>character is an immortal shapeshifter
>It was a prequel so of course Rebeccca couldn't play her all the time. She did have a cameo.
>Character born in 1930 whatever
>It was a prequel so of course Rebeccca couldn't play her all the time
He has a secret lad under Stonehenge....in England!
>It was a prequel so of course Rebeccca couldn't play her all the time. She did have a cameo.
Its Singer so yea she had to fight with the Leather Boy so no to be in that bullshit. Still looks like they cut her budget on the costume as the fabric doesn't look really high quality.
Holy shit that's bad. Here's hoping they'll still tweak it with CGI. But still, I'm really made that they decided to lessen the amount of scales on her face, so the audience knows it's special snowflake Lawrence. The only good thing about the scale thing was that they made her less recognizable.
Well its not high end appliance work. But still costs a ton.
Still trying to understand why everything looks so cheap, outside of Jubilee who lucked out just wearing street clothes. One side has shit paintball armor other side it looks like they stopped halfway through the design process.
>also rebecca's paint was a different type and a lot more poisonous than jlaw's paint. romijn's makeup was slowly killing her, I heard she was vommitting blue at times.
I'm just going to say that I'm skeptical of these claims.
