Taiyang's mission was to go find one of the other maidens. He and the maiden will make a dramatic entrance. Tai will save Blake and Yang (and maybe Sun) from Adam, and the maiden will defeat the giant Grimm with either help from Ruby or Pyrrha.

I prefer the cool-under-fire Adam than the Kylo Ren-lite version we've seen this episode. I don't even mind that Adam loved Blake romantically, but his reactions is a major contrast to what we have seen of him. The last thing I was expecting of him was acting like a extremely jealous violent ex. It's more cringey than threatening.

Even when he was furious at people, as shown with Cinder, Adam still managed to be control of it by telling Cinder, in a civilized manner for a terrorist group, to leave. Here, he's insane, love-obsessed, and extremely sadistic. I was expecting him to be more stoically wrathful or at least sarcastically mocking towards Blake.

And it's not just casual offscreen (SOMEONE GOT HURT ERHMAGHERD) violence but actual visible gore. Part of the problem is that Gray admitted that Adam has the 4th oldest face rig in the entire cast. He was designed before even yang and doesn't have the articulation that other models have. Why they haven't updated in the several years since then is a mystery but there ya go.

Generally in animation, but Anime in particular eyes are "windows to the soul". A lot of emotion is communicated via the eyes, It's a common trope in anime, when pupils dialate or go blank, they can show a lot of emotion/feeling without even having to show expression.

Penny's a perfect example. When she was "alive" you could see her pupils and generally conveyed a warm/happy feeling. When she got cut up, you saw how her fake eyes went all monotone and out of focus showing a complete lack of emotion or "soul".

Ruby would definitely get sliced apart. Yang...yeah. Blake has the best chance wity her semblance+ dust. I want to say Weiss could use her summoning but Adam would cut that up.

Comapred to JNPR. Jaune has a shield and some armor. Ditto with Pyrrha. Ren probably has Martial arts. Nora would have the biggest problem but around the same amount as RWBY.

Just got me to realize that without aura, most of the charachters are weak sauce. They rely on aura too much.

Well, when Cinder holds them over a barrel, Adam is originally planning to retreat with his force to Mistral. I don't know if he's meant to be the head for the whole organization as opposed to say like a "war-leader" or field general who leads the force to actually do their operations while older, more experienced people do the big scale planning.

I definitely feel like somebody "programmed" him to be a killing machine in some way, if supposedly all he really wanted was to be with Blake.
