/Trash/: when you hit rock bottom, it's only up from there
WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT EPISODE!? WHAT! THE! FUCK!
ROMAN GODDAMN IT YOU WERE BEST BOY
BLAKE WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO YOUR AURA
YANG WHAT THE FUCK
VELVET YOUR WEAPON WAS OBVIOUS
WEISS YOU ARE BEST GIRL
let's give Yang a hand for trying to help Blake
the same Blake that ditched her to have drinks with Weiss
Roman is in Limbo; he had a scene that very strongly implied death, but was rather ambiguous. His fate rests on whether or not the writers think keeping him around is a good idea, which itself is strongly tied to fan response. Unfortunately, the fanbase as a whole doesn't have the same affection for Roman as we do.
Obvious yes. But it was also AWESOME.
The day I get involved in that labyrinth of a franchise is the day I stop loving Best Girl.
Anon.. I'm sorry. But its time to move on, unless you want complicated grief disorder. In which case, do you really want Seth to be your therapist and have Roman be chased by Rawshocks in below zero weather ?
That's pretty on paper but you know goddamn well that leads to shit like the holocaust, eugenics and all the bullshit we're dealing with like minorities being stuck in poverty while rich white people control the majority.
To that Fem Junior out there. I want to prove that I wasn't talking out my ass about what I said last night about Yang.
I'd like it if in the ruins of that ship and with people being attacked and killed by Grimm all around them Ironwood and Roman end up having some kind of man to man "let's not bury the hatchat but c'mon this shit is kinda fucked" and Roman doesn't go good guy but breaks away from Cinder's faction with Neo.
>RWBY gets 100x better
>Writing is still garbage but at least it's on RvB's level now
>Not great but acceptable
>YFW Monty's death was the best thing that ever happened to RWBY
>Want Penny to stay dead
>She'll probably end up coming back, likely with no consequences
>I want my Hatman back
>Probably gone for good
Of course it was, because it's just all the other weapons all over again.
Fuck, the thing doesn't even make any sense. How is it made out of lasers? How can Velvet use them in the same style as their original users but somehow MORE effectively? Don't you dare say it's her fucking Semblance.
Well we don't know how grim biology works. We saw one swallow Roman whole but we also saw that they turn to dust when they die, so unless they digest eveything they eat right away he could be alive.
>Neo is captured by metalboner's men
>Finds Roman's charred hat in the ruins of the ship.
>Breaks away from the guards and picks it up bursting into tears.
>Says her first words on the show.
>"Please come back"
>Suddenly the guards get rekt
>Roman offers his hand to Neo.
>She hands him his hat
>He puts it on her head and lights up a cigar.
>"Let's go have some fun," he says.
>She dries her eyes and nods.
>Roman and Neo walk off into the sunset together.
Well, Qrow has got to be at least in his late 30's, more likely early 40's, but looks like a guy who could pass for mid-20's, so Ironwood is likely around 50.
The average age for a General in real life is late 40's to mid 50's, so if that applies in Remnant, there you go.
I can't fucking stand Oobleck's voice/speech mannerisms. They really just push all the wrong buttons for me. I also don't care for him and Zwei's 'lol meme random' element in the story.
I'm torn between wanting Penny back because I really liked her and the fact that just reviving her would be shit writing. Ruby and Penny's friendship quickly became my favorite part of the show.
Roman I want to come back though just because that didn't seem like a very conclusive death and there is still mileage in his character.
I need to confess something.
I have this
DEEP DARK FANTASY I want to live in a small red house with Velvet and eat porridge for breakfast.
Also how old is Ironwood? His temples are grey, so in his 50's? But also stress can cause that to happen. Hmm.
Why would I want to be dating Yang in the first place
Nah, Its always having perfect dramatic timing.
>Yang/Neo rematch in V3
>Blake will get a weapon transformation in V3
>Ren and Nora backstory in V2.
>SSSN are important to the plot.
I really don't trust what they say outside the show about things that could happen, since they've done this before and events ended up working out much differently.
>Blake and Yang flee in a random direction
>Reach the stadium
>They find Penny's arm
>The residual aura lets it heal onto Yang's body
>Penny.exe reboots in the arm
>Yang is Liquid Ocelot
What if Neo takes Roman's half dead body to a back alley cyberneticist?
It's Dr. Wiley
Nope, I'm a Yangfag that'll be by her side
Physical affection. Skinship.
Touching her, hugging her, telling her she's pretty, kissing on her, slow dancing maybe.
Then end the night with a pun
and her feet behind her head and my dick in her vagina.
>Everyone's jobbing left and right
>Neo started a career as Mary Poppins
>Roman learned the law of the wild
>Blake experienced true love
>Yang's became so hot I couldn't help but give her a hand
>Amber saw things right between her eyes
10/10 episode, back when volume 1 aired we said Monty wouldn't dare harm his characters.
>Why are we still here, just to make puns
>Woah! Hey there T-800, sorry about the ship!
>I don't have time to deal with you right now! Look around you at this madness, is this really what you're after!?
>Just tell me who is behind this. I have to put a stop to them.
Then Neo lands nearby and runs over and hugs him, he looks down at her, around him and then back at Ironwood and decides to spill the beans and split. Maybe takes out some Grimm on his way out. Some kind of "this has gone too far" moment.
Please keep the "all white people and straight people should be burned alive" tumblr bullshit out of here please.
Arguing equality (in relation to the faunus thing at least) is fine, but no tumblr.
Just made a Yang one
How many of these are there
How would you comfort a depressed Yang one week after losing her arm, as she sits in bed, looking and rubbing her bandaged stump?
Not actually in the show though. I was hoping they'd use it at some point. Disappointed it was when they were fighting robots though since the whole "I may fall, but not like this it won't be by YOUR hand!" thing which implies to me a person.
Somehow posted in the old thread.
Didn't he say he was going silent to plot his revenge?
I'd say in his 50's. He is also in great physical shape, but that can be caused by both aura and his augs. Damn it would be great to have some backstory for him, Ozzy and Glynda. I get this ex-couple vibe from him and Glynda.
And reason for his augs. How badly he was torn apart to be almost half a tinman? It is a neat detal how the augs are connected to his spine. Probably to protect and support it, but also to connect his nervous system to the aug. Ironwood is has in these two episode become one of my favorite characters.
>implying it's not actually subconscious weak telekinesis on a city-wide range that pulls off the same effect
Just me, but that's how I enjoy powers being explained in general.
Dunno, I figure I'd just hold her whenever she starts breaking down, maybe try to get her to focus on what she can still do and remind her that she's still stronger and more capable than me with just one arm. Also, remind her that while her new robo-arm won't be the same, she's still the same girl I fell in love with and nothing can change that.
So am i the only one happy the tranfer didn't work? The implication is that they had zero understanding if it was going to work or not, or could have fucked the tranfered person's mind. So they probably avoided an exercise in futility.
Not, it's not an asspull at all.
She'd been taking pictures of weapons through the entire volume, it was foreshadowed somewhat, and it makes sense in retrospect.
Asspull doesn't mean what you think it means.
doing what commissioning neo voreing ruby this time?
Why not watch RWBY today?
Pic-related, it's best South Park character
This Miles as an anime character shit is great.
Look, when shit gets so fucked up there's nothing you can do outside of being there for her when she needs someone. Give her a hug, a shoulder to cry on when she needs it, or something fun to do together (and to take her mind away from the self-loathing because oh boy there's going to be a lot of that).
It would work too because Ironwood needs to be told to go back to the vault, like Pyrrha's going to do when she finds Qrow and Glynda.
>Her name's Cinder Fall and right as we speak she's stealing the Fall maiden's power and frying Beacon's headmaster. Better hurry!
>He leaves, giving Neo a piggyback as they go
If I just convince myself he's still alive then I can survive at least another week
Because leaving someone crippled is edgier I guess? I dunno.
Maybe at the last second he had an 'oh shit' moment and realized it was Summer's daughter and that she might fucking kill him if he kills Yang, so he turns it into a dismemberment instead of a decapitation.
They Boba Fetted the best written character? Fucking dropped.
Has RWBY ever used these kind of screen effects before? It happened when Weiss summoned the arm and when Ruby killed the Griffin.
I don't know how I feel about this if this is gonna be a trend.
He's the new principal of South Park High. He isn't why it's good but he is a factor. The writing and the coherent plot for the most part are mostly why the most recent season is great.
So does Adam just want Blake to be a broken doll for his personal use? It's pretty clear he likes her, he just seems really psychotic about it. Or maybe he's angry at her defection and wants to make her suffer so she dosn't try it again.
>Blake takes her bow off to wrap Yang's arm
>Shows up to the safe zone carrying Yang
>Everyone looking at her in shock
>No one says anything as Atlas military medics take Yang into one of the buildings to operate
>Blake never wore her bow again
>Yang wears it like a bandana on her robotic arm
This! Vale becoming a walled off wasteland with people who couldn't evacuate would be very cool.
And Roman forced to become their responcible and just leader while being disfigured by the crash. Imagine all that growth of his character!!
>Lost her right arm in the process
She better fucking learn from this. If she doesn't then just fuck everything
also for our fallen brother
It's hardly an asspull. It could have been anything else and her reveal would have BTFO those mechs anyway. It was handled fairly well considering it didn't even help them much.
>Volume 1 and 2
>WOW SUPER SPEED TORNADOES AND POWER UPS FROM DAMAGE, FUCK YOU MONTY THAT'S OP
>Ruby gets hit the moment she tries to sanic
>Yang can't even land a hit most of the time
>Shadow clone jutsu and magic circles are more efficient
It's definitely a bad trend that allows the animators to get lazy.
That and the retarded DBZ powers Cinder and the maidens have that removes the need for quality fight animations.
That is one swag as fuck entry.
He went full joker on her ass.
>Red Hooded girl
Wonder if it was intentional.
>Yang loses a limb each volume
>Eventually ends up pic related.
Pretty standard psycho betrayal issue, I think. He and Blake were super tight - if you believe him while he is fully into the White Fang's militant goals the only thing he personally wants is to give Blake his D. Since they split (and I'm sure in his mind fucking up the train job led to the situation with Cinder), things have gone uphill/downhill for him and the WF. He's getting real Bane but at the same time his minions are getting trashed pretty regularly and whoever he was gonna go back and talk to in Mistral probably ain't happy about it.
So he finally sees Blake, he's pissed. He's right when he calls her a coward, she doesn't have the guts to stand with him or stand against him. Even when pressed she's clearly too emotionally stressed to put up a decent fight. And she tries to take the moral high ground with him. So it's this vindictive sort of "okay if you think you're so much better off without me let's see what happens when I crush everything you love (that isn't me)". He'd either turn it into "I'm the only thing you have left" or "you have my permission to die" at the end - he probably doesn't know since Adam seems to only have three states, "bland", "murder" and "murderboner".
This came out way longer than I intended
I'd imagine that Weiss being able to summon only the arm of the steel knight is actually quite useful. I mean if a guy like Adam's around he could probably cut it, but i imagine it makes it harder for enemies to hit him since only the arm's coming out.
>Reese on her board and using her weapon
I agree, favourite moment of the episode for me.
Also, what do you guys think will happen with that in the future?
Will she be able to recreate her summoning after this, or won't she and she has to train hard at it to do it again.
>Ice Cream Lady so small and tiny, that she flies away like mary poppins
What's with big breasted blondes and getting their limbs sliced off by sadists?
There's no way she would have tried that with zero aura, so it's likely she was thinking the hit wouldn't actually cut though. I'm sure if she thought it might she'd have tried her ranged blasts first.
She has probably never really had any exercise compare to her teammates. I mean I'm sure Ruby and Yang played outside all the time as kids. Blake has been running with the WF since she was little also.
I mean Weiss probably didn't have anyone to play with when she was little. Living a pampered life does little to work your cardio.
It was probably more the summoning thing than general semblance use.
That arm was really fucking powerful, slicing a paladin in half with once chop. Probably takes a lot of juice.
Ruby also basically passes out when she carries Penny via speed, but yeah, I think the rapid exhaustion is pretty much Weiss' limit specifically. She has to pace herself in a fight or she'll run out of seam.
>Leone jobs hard as fuck a lot
>Even got one of her tits and arm sliced off
Holy shit they really are the same
Is Velvet best girl now
Post Velvets in celebration
That really popolis my suki.
That happened like 3 years ago. It's hardly a spoiler now.
Too bad the show doesn't have a Lubbock/Walter for Yang to copy her healing trick.
She got shot in the head and survived to save the day and lost her arm.
Besides that, she's won every fight, more or less.
So who was expecting Weiss to have summoned the whole suit of armor, rather than just the arm and sword?
I mean what we got was fucking cool, but it seemed a bit... awkward to have just a floating sword and arm.
>ruby as waifu
protected by plot armour. best waifu
At work as a security doorman there is a big fancy party going on tonight lots of guest coming in I'm suppose to smile a greet them.
Too bummed by what happened to roman and feel like shit...
It was interesting how Roman was talking about a "them" when he was talking to Ruby. Obviously Cinder is one of this group, but is he just referring to Em and Merc, or other people?
Also, this group apparenlty wants a new world of some kind. So that tells us a little bit about their motivation. They don't want to just completely destroy everything, apparently.
I mean, she went from basically not being able to do it to a practical use of the ability in a couple of days without actually practicing it. That's pretty solid. It's also one less huge model they have to animate, apparently the software is pushed to the limit by this volume.
I'm really glad that it was only the arm.
It would be stupid if she could summon the entire suit of armor while she's never succesfully summoned before.
It was also really fucking cool, the arm protecting her and slicing a paladin in half.
It had a "just imagine what the entire thing can do" vibe.
Nah. Her pulling a high level summon out of her ass would have been the 2nd worse thing to happen, after
Romanof course. At least this shows that while she still hasn't mastered it, she's improving.
So Ruby seems to be the only member of RWBY still in shape to fight. Is she going to confront someone else, maybe kill the dragon, or will she help Ozpin when she sees Jaune and Pyrrha running? Or neither.
Probably CEM, but Cinder's line implies there's others involved; she's probably their Adam: strong, and in charge of in-the-field fighting, but leaving strategic planning to someone higher up.
>Diamond counter White Fang organization
>They're also against the maidens and actively go after them to keep the power from falling into the wrong hands like it did with Cinder
>Operates in the moral grey area
>Doesn't trust Ozpin and crew
>Blake is Big Boss
>Yang is Miller
>Coco is Ocelot
I wish I wasn't a hack of a writer so I could pull this off properly.
What would've happened if Weiss instead of Yang went looking for Blake?
That's what I'm saying. If she did have 0 she wouldn't have rushed in like she did, that'd be too stupid even for her. I'm saying she had aura left and thus definitely wasn't expecting that slash to actually cut her. She was relying on her aura. And against anyone else that would have been fine, but not against Adam. The lesson to be learned isn't "don't attack like your normally do even when that's almost always effective" it's "Adam is dangerous, do not engage in melee range if avoidable".
>about to be killed by big bad
>gets eaten by bigger bad
>no weapons, just kicked the bigger bad into the commanding airship
>which takes out the robots and 1/3 of the enemy forces
I haven't seen plot armor this thick in a while
>Besides that, she's won every fight, more or less.
Really? My memory is really fuzzy about that show.
Baby steps anon. It seems like she had no idea what she was doing and everything happened on its own.
"In his eyes, the greatest symbiotic parasite the world has ever known wasn't humanistic. It was jointed."
I've noticed that when Adam's VA has to yell a line instead of say it, it actually sounds pretty decent.
The "what you want is impossible" line for example.
They should just have him yell all of his lines.
> but leaving strategic planning to someone higher up.
> implying that there is anyone who can out-plan Cinder
is she really tho?, if roman is in fact dead I don't think neo is gonna be very happy and unlike Yang pointless grudge with neo neo's grudge with ruby would be very real
What if they go all Tangled and that she can get her arm back, but to grow it back or attach it back, they need to cut off her long flowing hair?
Well, in the show the only real fight after that was the end game, and she probably would have survived, but she had a pretty bad gunshot wound and decided that she lived a good life and found an alley to die in after killing the Minister who used his secret Taigu to destroy hers.
In the manga she's had a couple more fights and hasn't lost any. She's one of the only 4 Night Raid still alive, not counting coma girl. End game should start next chapter, though.
Yeah, though more for missing out on the my-brain-is-full-of-Amber subplot I was hoping for than for her not getting the powers.
Though she was plugged in for long enough that the former could still potentially happen.
Only if Cinder thinks about her when she dies.
I think that the reason Cinder got the other half of the fall power was because it just had to rejoin its other half.
When the power has no host, it seeks out another one. But the power did have a host.
how would you all like
feeding velvet copious amounts of chocolate bunnies to torment her for your sexual pleasure
She got the scar in the fight with the knight Grimm.
The Trailers all happened before the show starts, and their events are relevant. You should check them out, they actually establish things in the show and contain leitmotifs which aren't always properly repeated in the show itself (yet).
Come on, anon
You can still love your Yang if she has short hair, right?
I'd rather Yang get the character development haircut after getting her robot arm.
>Short hair Yang
>Kept ya Waiting huh?
What we have amputee fetishists now?
How would it be a son raised by Yang and Blake? I mean if we think in a daughter it would easier to guess.
That would be pretty nice but I think she should give up fist fighting. I can't imagine a fist fighter with no dust making it far in the world.
Does this mean that Velvet will go for Coco and leave Yats
CrossHares >shit>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Arkos>Stuffed Rabbit
>tfw your top three are all dead / MIA
>All within the span of three episodes
>All after the show goes almost 3 full seasons without any deaths
Why is life so cruel, /rwbyg/?
>So many people are hoping and praying that Roman survived being eaten by a giant Grimm. I really don’t. Torchwick was an amusingly fun character, but his time was past. Cinder doesn’t need him anymore, the plot had moved on without him, other villains with sharper fangs have taken his place. He was a great warm-up round, but as we can clearly see, we’re not in the minor leagues anymore, and he can’t keep up with the others. (Funny thing is, if Neo hadn’t have broken him out, he’d probably still be alive right now. Some favor, huh.)
>There are people that think this
>Funny thing is, if Neo hadn’t have broken him out, he’d probably still be alive right now. Some favor, huh.
Oh MAN so much material in that one sentence to write Neo emotional suffering greentext with...
Yeah, well, some people are stupid.
>Be walking around in some ruins far away from the action
>Nothing but a few Grimm around
>Hold on, you can hear voices
>Because you're not retarded, you realize that means there are people nearby
>Moreover, you distinctly recognize one of those voices as Blake, the girl you've spent every day with for half a year, so you should probably know her voice by now
>Look inside a very well lit, on fire building
>See somebody standing there, kicking Blake's shit in
>Realize you're tired so charging in to beat on someone who just manhandled your best friend isn't such a good idea
>Come up with an actual plan to get everyone safely out of there
>Because you're not retarded, be able to actually follow through with that plan without fucking it all up
Dunno, but i'm pretty partial to Fox/Coco so whatever.
I don't really get that kind of attitude. Mercury and Emerald don't have any further agendas in the plot either, but that's no reason they shouldn't stick around and remain a threat.
If this really was a case of RWBY moving onto bigger and badder threats, they should have actually had Ruby beat Roman.
Just the fact that a main character can't kick any villain's ass without it being part of the plan or a deus ex proves that this entire statement isn't the fucking case.
>students are being BTFO by actual professional villains
About time this was a thing that happened.
Because it's a change that they can feel and see in the mirror every day as constant reminder for them. Once you cut the hair, it's not something you can go back on immediately, you need to wait for that shit to grow back out.
You forgot the Blake's Barbed Penis.jpg
Such a great series.
Still the best waifu ever of all time.
Akame's probably the only one who will.
I don't think he stabbed her very deeply. It's painful but shouldn't interfere with her ability to move around too much, especially not running on a lot of adrenaline. It's probably enough for her to limp out of the scene, run into somebody else and fall over or something.
>People on /rwbyg/ are really fucking stupid.
The fucking conversations I've seen here. There was one so incredibly retarded last night I had to turn off my computer lest I get involved.
I'm really looking forward to the Neofags reactions this week.
What do you guys think the end credits scene is going too be?
I want it to be Neo cutting a dying roman out of the grimm having Romans phone fall too the ground displaying the last thing neo sent him ruby's photo.
And the look of fury on her face to be the last thing we see.
Or if they want to ruin her character a bit they can have her speak too dying roman that she will kill that little red bitch.
Does anyone else think that they should have hyped up the moment that Qrow unleashed his scythe? I feel robed that they chose that scene for it's big reveal, I was expecting it to happen during the final battle of the Volume.
No, you're the one making excuses. I'm not the guy who said it wasn't foreshadowed, even if that foreshadowing was shit, but I am the one who originally called it stupid.
Seriously why the fuck are her fake weapons better than the original ones?
An asspull would have been if suddenly a giant bunny mech fell out of the sky and she hopped in.
We've suspected this was her power for weeks now it wasn't something they suddenly pulled out of their ass.
>Seriously why the fuck are her fake weapons better than the original ones?
You raise a good question actually.
In fact how are her weapons even physical, they're just light.
Plus how does he have the skill to already use all of them.
