>Spawn #1 - #7
How about it /co/? It's late, I'm reading it anyway, I may as well share.
>"I'm 14" - the page
why are you doing this
>Todd's not done drawing spider-webs dammit!

>"Low-rent Frank Miller" Page number 3
Sure I've read up to when Grant Morrison becomes the fill in writer before
I love these Steve Oliff colors so much
>>79177048
I've never read the first ~15 issues in sequence, and it's been A LONG time since I've even read any of them at that.
>>79177068
I honestly love Sam and Twitch

>Sam and Twitch
As a kid I never paid them much mind, but reading spawn now a days? Hell yeah.
I find it amazing mcfarlane and others back then actually thought they could write worth a damn back then. Its literally just over-exposition pasted over decent art

I downloaded a bunch of 90's Image comics just to check out and see if they really deserve the ire
The worst thing was Youngblood, it wasn't even bad it was kind of bland. I was expecting something worthy of a stroytime of pain
Also I ended up falling in love with Savage Dragon
>>79177145
But then you've got
>the kind of page that sold the book
>>79177179
I'm just waiting for the page with the naked pedo stabbed to death with an ice cream scooper
at least he started using bones instead of webbing for his panel borders...

When "popularized digital coloring" is the only positive thing you can say about a comic you know it's REALLY bad.
Anyone have that video of that one sci-fi writer shitting all over the 90s Image guys?
>this counts as a page right?
>all that fucking text 1/3
>all that fucking text 2/3
>all that fucking text 3/3
Seriously, McFarlane is his own boss. Did he feel like he HAD to write this much dialogue? It's baffling.
what a 90's page

>tfw i fell to the hype and bought spawn #10 for 10 bucks because the issue wasn't included on trades and comics weren't being scanned yet.

Best Spawn story. Later on.. oh oh dear god no.

These newpages, Sam and Twitch, the Countdown. Early issues of Spawn were so damn promising.
