Also I just realized that Lobdell is finally going to write Dick as a main character instead of a supporting character for two worthless pages.
>still caring about Grayson
He only became a spy because the writers needed him to disappear after Forever Evil.
That fact that he didn't revert back to nightwing immediately after is nothing short of a miracle.
>Re: GRAYSON - we're doing a few issues, following a roadmap set by Tom and Tim. We're not changing gears, just taking the wheel for a while.
They're just doing a fill-in.
>all those fill-in and the incoming #52
I smell a soft reboot
The craziest thing about Flash is why they keep allowing it to be absolute shit when the show is popular
For fucks sakes, vol 6 and 7 with the shitty creative team are up there with Batman and Grayson in preorders on amazon.
It's selling because of the character not the creative team. But it makes sense really. No point in putting good talent on it if it makes money anyway. Use them on books that could use a good run.
I still say as Flash fans we have like 10 years left of shit comics left before we can complain given how good the book was for so long before all this shit started.
Or ripping the guys teeth out in that filler arc for Detective Comics
Shame because that arc would've been real good without it
But yes I hope SeeKing told them what is an isn't acceptable in terms of characterization
>For fucks sakes, vol 6 and 7 with the shitty creative team are up there with Batman and Grayson in preorders on amazon.
You just found out why.
They don't care if it's shit, as long as it sells.
I get bad books selling well, that's life. I'm just annoyed at the gap between great cover and crappy interior bc I really like Flash and Reis
I mean Flash was shit from the end of Johns 1st run until ... Manapul/Buccellato? With the exception of GOAT Wednesday Comics
>I mean Flash was shit from the end of Johns 1st run until ... Manapul/Buccellato? With the exception of GOAT Wednesday Comics
Well I'd say Waid's run in that gap was maybe just mediocre, but yeah. Though the book was GOAT for like 20 years before that so I think we're paying for it now.
>King/Seeley obviously setting up for Dickbats
>Greg Pak using his Teen Titans run as a setup for a Wonder Woman run
>Steve Orlando slowly building back Stormwatch
>Darkseid War finale
DC's lining stuff up.
I didn't think it was bad but didn't wanna deal with arguments so erred on caution
Johns arc had a lot of cool ideas but never capitalized. Like all these designs are great and stuff like a giant "BREAK IN CASE OF FLASH" glass case is genius but no follow through for various reasons.
also i'm still upset at the loss of Zoom/Kadabra War
Nigga, stop thinking comic companies play some kind of hierarchy where franchises with the most media exposure get best creative teams.
Flash after all under Wally West was GOAT for years without a TV show.
Well yeah I want Flash to be awesome but I would expect nothing less whether there's a TV show or not. That's how it's been in the past and how it should be now but DC just completely drops the ball with the character time after time.
Yeah the only reason I picked up Titans Hunt was because of Abnett and because I wanted the taste of Lobdell Teen Titans to be washed off but fuck he's there too now? I am only buying the Abnett stuff until he leaves.
