Sometimes I wonder why these threads always start out slow, but then I remember, everyone ended up fucking leaving because they all lost faith in the finale. I'm honestly really hyped, if Alex could pull out a bunch of good punches throughout the series, I'm sure he'd put a good amount of the same work into the finale. I know we think he's a hack and wouldn't, but I'm sure he's got something good in the finale most of us will like, whether it be more teasing, action scenes, a cuss, animation levels, background scenes, story, Ford and Stan reconciling, whatever, something is going to happen we can agree was "pretty worth it"

It's the last episode of the series, he knows he can't keep going for a good story, this is it. I'm sure it'll end well enough.

I think someone already said something like this I was reading through the reaction thread to Weirdmageddon Part I that people posted a link to a few days ago. I noticed the reactions where overwhelmingly, super wildly positive/hype at first. Then the first criticisms started to show up when Bill failed to kill Dipper.

I don't know if that was it but the arc seemed to lose focus or momentum or something after that scene too, not sure why. Up until then was pretty good really.

One core thing to know about these promos is that excluding some of the custom backgrounds, special effects and CG, everything is taken straight from the episode (voice acting, characters, backgrounds).

They don't draw the characters doing stuff exclusively for the promo, they just pause the episode, copypaste frame to photoshop/whatever and cut the character out of the frame for use in the promo. For example, I can pinpoint all of Bill's appearances in that little teaser (aside from CG) and their corresponding location in Weirdmageddon Part 1.

My point is, we're going to see Bill holding a Martini glass in the episode based on this frame from the Part 3 teaser.

I have an idea for a fanfic if anyone cares:

Dipper doesn't know what to do, especially with him dragging around a confused Mabel to try and remind her of his existence, leading to a particularly hardcore scene when they see the recording of Mabel's mind being wiped, with her crying and begging not to forget her brother, while the current Mabel starts crying because she realises Dipper's right, but can't remember any of it.
