Since she's now the leader of the X-men, do you think Storm is a better leader than Cyclops or Wolverine?
so far no.
so far all her tea stands for is holding on while shit goes around them, they are nether "DAH revolutions" nor are they sticking to wolverines stance of protecting the future no matter what while trying to be better people
Storm is juggling the demands of the outside world with that of her students quite well. She is a natural leader.
It is a shame the X-Men are dealing with the inhuman mist over irl intellectual property bullshit though.
In the 80's yes. In the present day where her first order of business was to basically move as many surviving mutants of their once again endangered species to what amounts to Hell, fuck no.
perhaps getting that close would kill her, or it is too much. The cloud is hitting entire countries at once. Besides it is obvious that it changed the environment wherever it passes otherwise they would just have to go to a place it had already been.
I expect her to have an better understand standing of the implications of mutants existing
At the end of the day even with guns we are not on equal grounds here
psionics can literally turn you gay just look at iceman
Its probably better for them to find thier own planrt and thrive
Oh man, I just want a story time of that issue because I wanna see /co/'s reaction to Scott's dumb bullshit of not being able to fucking live without the X-Men and Maddy being like "Nigga I just gave fucking birth to your kid, come be a dad"
And yeah it was but nothing ain't gonna stop that Claremont boner for Storm, man.
She moved the school to Limbo instead of an artificial island off of the CA coast and gave a half-assed version of Scott's "We shall all be free" speech.
Utopia is my favorite X-Men era since Claremont.
Uncanny was never very strong, but it was wonderful for the line as a whole.
But maybe my vision is clouded since the line's been mostly shit since then.
Not really, after all the very fucked up decision of moving an entire SCHOOL INTO LIMBO WAS MADE. Also she pretty much threatened humanity in perhaps what was not the best way. Scoot would've been able to do the speech better over her.
Nobody but Cyclops ever pulls it off.
The role just plays to the character's strengths more, I guess.
I can't think of anybody who's written a very good Storm in over twenty years.
It just seems like there's nothing left to be done with her.
>Oh sure, let her be the leader after all the mutants got sterile and shit, sure.
>all the mutants got sterile
I keep hearing this, is this /co/ being wrong, or Lemire not knowing how mutants work?
Because you don't need mutant parents to be a mutant, it just really helps.
She would be a great leader if she had both Scott and Logan as her right hand men. I mean seriously, she's surrounded by incompetent people right now. All she would have to do is be a figurehead. Have Scott run his own team with Logan, but in the end they both have to answer to her.
Instead we get No More Mutants II, Utopia 3.0, Schism Part 4, and Avengers vs. X-men: Inhuman Inclusion all in one go.
She's neither majestic nor punkish right now, which is a sin. You either go full-force Claremont goddess Storm or scruffy urban biker slut storm.
What they have right now is some kind of awful hybrid with no distinct personality at all.
Basically just another writer not understanding what made X-Men popular, like every other X-writer of the 00's and 10's
that was one of the best things to happen to x-men, because isnt that what led to the original x-factor being formed? then we had inferno, and apocalypse and giving up cable baby. man those were good times
Is this thread dead?
Can we start a new topic?
Who would you want to see lead the X-Men?
How do you think that they would function and how the dynamic would play out?
I personally kinda wanna see Bobby take the reigns, just because it'd be the whole "former clown now has to become a leader" thing.
I think it would really evolve his character.
Better than turning him gay.
Best version of Storm coming through.
Scott and Ororo should rule together.
Everyone was in there, though that scene really could have used an artist who could draw more than one face.
Storm was always a weird mix of ethnicities.
>Yeah, she's kinda X-bike.
Which is why cyke doesn't need to go for it. He knows she's so cock-hungry he can just get some no-strings-attached with her anytime he wants. Meanwhile the ice queens are throwing themselves at him while scoffing at everyone else.
Basically being Scott Summers is the tits.
she can't. for some reason.
you can't judge her abilities as a leader during a time where x-men are editorially mandated to be shit and writers are recycling a deacade old plot.
Scott is the most hated upervillain now and apparently the one who hurt the mutants reputtion more than anyone.Storm still got a better deal than him
