DC pretty much just told creative teams to make some new looks up for the hell of it post-Convergence. I don't think any of them were really meant to be long term unless they were extremely well-received. Some of them were even obviously temporary like Superman, Batman, and GL since they were connected to storylines.

The art and the artist drive the plot. Just like 90s Image. Truly, this is a book everybody was asking for.

I think we can give the White Washing a pass in this instance, Dr Poison is I won't call her a stereotype, but she does harken back to the imperial Japanese Unit 731 type horrific shit they pulled in WW2 that was... this will make the Nazi's cringe level of evil, which the Japanese still relatively refuse to admit took place and is still a really sore spot in Japan/Chinese relations.

I don't get what the problem is by having a different individual character use the Dr Poison persona?
There has been 5 Hobgoblin users for god's sake!

i don't blame her really. working interiors is a lot harder than people think. most artists don't do more than one book at a time because the demands are really heavy. she does a lot of variant cover work, among other things, for DC and even now for Marvel so leaving interior work when she can get paid about the same amount for working half as less as before makes sense.
