Nah, look at them. They're crawling all over him without any fear of being shot. Do they simply not care? Or do they have that much faith in their allies' precision? For such men who would gladly and willingly die twice for their liege, one can't ask for any better.
the word meme being used as a descriptor is the most annoying meme of all time
Chick tracts have a surprising amount of reaction image potential, I've found
If you've ever read Left Behind, you'll see this kinda attitude everywhere. A lot of fundie Christianity is basically an attempt to reconcile an incredibly sinful lifestyle with an afterlife where you're judged for your sins. It always has an incredible smugness to it because it's not written from the perspective of trying to get someone to change (oddly), it's written from the perspective of someone saying "You're going to Hell and I'm not, neener neener."
that one wouldn't complain about the wicked getting a free ride to heaven after confessing because he knows he's wicked too. Everyone is wicked.Apologize for your wikeness or go to Hell. That's christianity.
paranatural, unsounded, sandra and woo, oglaf
Awaken, Gaia, dr. mcninja, its walky, blaster nation, sorcery 101, buttersafe
dumbing of age, trying human,
Started as pleasant trash webcomic, evolved into something substantial and interesting. That doesn't happen often.
>paranatural is ok
>unsounded is ok
>sandra and woo is ok
unsounded and paranatural are god tier based on art alone pal
Did Seijic ever snap out of his delusion that he can actually write competently and got back to just doing softcore smut?
Ah man, I cant read this. It's too perfect. Its my two exact dream girls in a lesbian relationship with my favorite fetish. Makes me too jelly.
ya know, I tried to find an example to prove you wrong, and I really couldn't, but I still hold that paranatural is god tier
OFFICIAL GOOD WEBCOMICS
>Rice Boy/Order of Tales/Vattu
>Stand Still Stay Silent
>Scary Go Round/Bad Machinery
>The Abominable Charles Christopher
>have a padlock nobody can find the keys for
>well better just pick the lock can't think of any other way to do things
Just use a fucking bolt cutter. I know it's a cutesy porn comic, but this annoys me.
Possessed Jeff fucks shit up, Max initiates daring ploy and breaks both arms, Johnny's spectral powers start to come through, Dmitri confirmed as spectral and possible ex-Activity Club, the update schedule gets assassinated by Zach's personal life, Violet backs Jeff up like a bro despite not having any idea what the fuck is happening
I love paranatural, but I really wish zach would stick to a regular update scheduled instead of trying to do random double updates. though I understand if he cant do an update because of wrist/family trouble also, we need more violet
>tfw still waiting on this comic to update.
It's because I come here that no one is gonna mention my comic.
Anyone that would like to mention it, also doesn't want to be accused of being me, shilling my own work.
This is like the worst hometown.
Anasheya does quality work, although it's a bit samefacey.
I remember in the last thread there was one about a detective that looked interesting, I don't remember the name of it but the scene posted showed a black PI investigating a porn theatre, he made a point of not shaking the owners hand.
You must thing really highly of yourself, if you're convinced everyone who reads it is just holding back out of fear of being called a faggot on an anonymous cantonese hydrocoloring image board.
Pepper and Carrot, yes, but it needs to update more, Dr. Mcninja, Unsounded and Sandra and Woo are also awesome.
Ill add Whomp! and Bomango as pretty good webcomics, also otaku dad, but to a lesser degree than whomp.
>check out Sandra and Woo
>first strip contains a reference to Sly Cooper, a franchise that hadn't been relevant in years
>don't read the second strip
I'm saying it because I've seen it happen twice.
You don't get to call me paranoid or egotistical after I've seen it happen twice.
And I'm gonna say these are probably really terrible attitudes which validate the point I was making.
Do korean webtoons count as /co/ webcomics? I haven't been on /a/ much, but I get the impression that they would dismiss immediately anything not from Glorious Nippon.
If they do, Tower of God is pretty good, but once the publisher started doing an official english version and shut down the fan translation the writing quality to a nosedive.
damn, I had forgotten about tower of god. if i remember correctly, I stopped reading because
fucking nothing happened for about 20 chapters, it was just the same shit with them running around pipes carting a fish
Transdimensional Brainchip is AMAZING (and completed) but by God is the art terrible. I wish he'd get a dedicated artist.
Its about a dumb guy named Ulf who gets a chip transplanted into his brain that allows him to communicate with other versions of himself in other timelines. The first plotline is about him trying to prevent his murder across dimensions, then about him practically ascending to Godhood and all the troubles that thus follow.
I swear its a lot better than it looks and there is actual character development too.
pic related: other versions of him try to convert him to Christianity.
There's no more girls left to rape but still la couple guys left over since they remove so many girls each round like musical chairs. The boys still have to put their dick in something though so they have to rape each other. There's a scene where a guy makes a hole in some dude getting spitroasted just to fuck so he doesn't lose. The winner gets raped by Lust in the end I think too.
Is there anything edgier than Jack yet?
It's been the reigning king of edge since fucking 2003.
Every time this comic comes up I feel like I should defend it
Its not that everything bad that people say about it isn't completely true, but its just trying so hard
This guy did a better job explaining it than I can
It's not like there isn't precedent for that sort of thing.
The best thing about Jack is that it's the opposite of boring unlike most webcomics. Shit actually happens.
It's not that retarded when you've made a pact with the embodiment of the sin of lust (who you killed when he was still alive).
Those two are the same exact thing
I realise this one should go without saying, but I'm gonna go ahead and say it anyway.
I wish I could get anyone else to read the guy's stuff but the artwork is so terrible most people don't bother. I'm not even sure why/how I stumbled onto the guy's comics.
Another very good and SHORT (and completed) comic the guy has written is Lies, Sisters and Wives (http://lies.thecomicseries.com/), about an adulterous husband trying to cheat on his wife only to have the mistress and the wife (along with her family and his coworkers) all coming together to share dinner and the web of lies he has to spin to keep everyone in the dark.. The whole comic would take about 20-30 minutes to finish reading and its one of the best things I've ever read.
But by God is it ugly.
Nedroid is pretty fucking funny at times.
Nedroid is one of the few webcomics that is consistently funny
It's all I really want in a comic. Sex and rock. And sex.
Dr. McNinja. It's been awesome since day one. It sucks that it's ending.
The guy hasn't updated this comic in 300 years so fuck him/her/whatever.
This shit is the cutest.
Yup, its the same guy! He has completed two other comics since then, Transdimensional Brainchip and Lies, Sisters and Wives. My favorite is Trandimensional Brainchip.
He's currently running a new comic too, a fantasy comic (Trixie Slaughteraxe for President) that s also pretty good.
>The Abominable Charles Christopher
Just update... I just want to see it finished
Why do the good comics die while shit like Questionable Content keeps going?
I find her panels make for great reaction images.
Don't know the artist, but this made me giggle
>this page came out less than two years after Columbine
Fuck me, I can't remember the name of a webcomic I used to really like.
It was about an angry scientist that accidentally killed a guy and went to prison. He had Dr. Robotnik red-on-black eyes. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
>Found it at 13
>mfw it gave me a horrific existential crisis and I couldn't sleep that night
Not everyone owns bolt cutters.
Hell, I would have broken out a sawzall.
Or cut up the leather straps.
It's not like bondage aficionados are ever short on cash to replace this stuff.
>Anyone that would like to mention it, also doesn't want to be accused of being me, shilling my own work.
Right, THAT'S the reason your comic isn't brought up in "good webcomics" threads. Not because it's just not worth mentioning.
if he was American it might matter but everywhere else people tend not to dwell on things like that. Like 9/11, its 15 years, it was like 2000 people, earthquakes and tsumamis tend to have higher kill counts but haiti doesnt have a yearly day of remembrance.
point is, saying shit like "this happened x years after event y" means very little
I'm going to shill my little webcomic, Skylight.
It's a sci-fi adventure about spy robot-girl Trynn doing heists and spy work in a retro sci-fi setting. I'm pitching it as Lupin meets Brazil.
There's an art style change going on in the latest pages, since I switched from digital to watercolors which I'm more comfortable / pleased with, so forgive the wobbly start.
Updates on Fridays, though I'm looking to make extra updates when I'm more comfortable.
>And I'm gonna say these are probably really terrible attitudes which validate the point I was making.
When you make a post about having a webcomic but you refuse to mention the webcomic, it looks like you are attentionwhoring.
4chan has always hated attention whores. Why do you think tripfags are almost universally despised?
>mfw I love Kate Comics on tumblr, but they started shoving in shit about the Bechdel Test and how The Lego Movie is problematic into certain edits
I dunno about MGDMT
For me it falls into this kinda "cosy" category. Like I am not at all invested in it - if it stopped I would be like "oh dang" and just not think about it again.
But it's a nice thing to just read once a week
Oh fuck, Dreaming of Utopia. I need to catch up on that. The day someone decided to storytime all the comics that existed at that point because it was absurdly funny and the thread slowly realized it was actually well constructed and surprisingly interesting despite being centered around one of the most retarded ideas imaginable was a great experience.
>Sometimes the furries come across as TOO nice though, I wish there was more internal drama
It's like people on many internet forums. They become invested in what people think of them.
as individualscan't ruin their image, so they suppress themselves.
Paranatural got mentioned, and Poppy is basically in the same realm as it.
Its another mediocre comic with pretty art that you fags will circlejerk over along with the other "several" comics.
>people unironically recommending Jack
Yeah, it might try, but it fails horribly, and comes off exactly what it is- an untalented turd recycling the garbage he's seen elsewhere with a very vague understanding of the Christian mythos. Its shit and the only entertaining thing about it is seeing how deep the shithole goes.
Granted there are a handful of corny nuggets that have potential in the hands of a competent writer, but thats all they are, novel thoughts with wasted potential.
Say, that creature looks awfully familiar.
>Its another mediocre comic with pretty art that you fags will circlejerk over along with the other "several" comics
It's still getting started, but it's shown a good grasp of dialogue and character so far, it's well above average for webcomics
It's like you guys never read the Great Outdoor Fight
I knew there'd be a reason I saved this
"Good" is subjective. I dont even know if there's a story here anymore, but damn if i can't stop checking in.
Not them, but the entire flow of your story is awkward and your visual storytelling is lacking. You need to write out your plot, draft up some thumbnails, and scrutinize. "How does the reader feel? Where are we? Can the reader tell that without expositional dialogue? What's the hook? Why should the audience care about my characters? How can I make this sequence more engaging? How can I be more creative with my characters' abilities and attributes? What's my tone?"
On the last two, I read through your comic and wondered how different it would be if the protagonist was a Dullahan instead of a robot. The answer is "not much." There's an entire opening action scene and the robot protagonist is both mostly covered up (making them basically just a person with a funny robot head) and doesn't do anything except fall apart. It's not exciting, weird, tense, creative or even funny. There was a lack of ingenuity and the tone was unclear, making the first few pages boring despite being "action packed".
Not only was Digger good, it actually finished, making it the rarest sort of webcomic there is.
Wow, this takes me back. I think it's been a literal decade since I've thought about this comic. Maybe more. All I remember is some incest storyline. Is it any good? Is it funny like Oglaf or is it just porn?
I liked Magical Girl Neil, but now the artist is just buying time by writing a weird "puberty book" as an "intermission"
Can't forget classics like West Tree Academy of Heroes!
>It was entertaining until you find out the artist actually has a rape fetish and stalked girls
>Then it became extremely entertaining
Unfortunately it turned out she was just a typical tumblrina lying for attention.
Scribblehatch still visits though.
>isn't THAT good
Honestly, Dewd, what part of your comic do you think is ANY good?
You can't hope to improve until you admit your flaws.
What is the name of that comic with two people meeting in a train, there is a black conductor, then meet two dudes with a guitar, etc?
Everybody always says it's great but i just couldn't finish it.
Remember when he made a porn comic with a porn title and had no sex for the first fifty pages and threw a tantrum when people kept asking when he was going to get to the sex already?
Because most webcomic artists are flakes who can't keep up a long running project? Say what you say about the value of his comic, but at least the dude has the ability to keep updating reliably year after year. It's probably the main reason his comic is so popular.
>Is he the one that made that stupid comic?
>THAT stupid comic
Th head-up-ass stupid comics he's made are too numerous to single out just one. But yes, chances are he's the man you're thinking of.
Ensign sue must die is awesome.
>lets keep throwing new shit and new characters without resolving any previous plot before starting a new one, and not even explaining who or what some of the main characters are, have characters interact with each other like we knew them from before, and instead throw lots of lore of help to fucking no one to understand what is going on: the comic.
Digger is fucking amazing. One of the few webcomics I decided it was worth buying a physical copy of (that it's a complete story helped immensely).
Random bit of trivia, the artist is the person behind the lolwut pear. I don't know how happy she is about that.
I've got the trade hardback. The extra stuff about the GOF's history is amazing.
9/11 is a big deal because the US media makes it a big deal. NYC is where most of the national US media are based and operate out of. Because they won't forget it, they won't like US culture forget it. well, at least not until someone nukes DC or something else big where some of them live and work happens.
Pic related, especially since it started updating again.
No, turn the bait into good threads. Don't let the terrorists win.
Frogs are bald,you know?
That explains why Sithrak wrote that edgy holy book. I'd be pissed through if some human outsmarted me.
Fuck this shit. Its the same fucking joke everytime.
>Look how awkward I am! But at the same time, isnt I so cute?
FUCK! I hate it. Its popular just because of edgy "gamer gurls XD" who feel related to that shit.
>gogo gets pregnant
>her breasts get bigger
It's symbolic of the one time that america got a few of their civilians killed, which is a day to celebrate around the globe. You fuckers went around the word to the wars, shielded yourself and went ahead killing for shit and giggles and not giving 2 shits about anything because it didn't truly affected you.
If the hate of the world for your shithole could be made solid, America, as whole and I do mean the continent, would had been gone a long time ago, with all the poor bastards of the south hemisphere dying with you for nothing.
Gogo is a milf waiting to happen, she just doesnt know it yet
Nop, sorry, our country had never been attacked nor participated on any war at all. Full peace on this shit mutherfucker.
Beautiful hypocrisy though, you smug fucker, remember you wrote that when you are reflexing about how nice a person you are.
Gogo is super fuckable and she knows it.
The whole series reeks of self projection. Not sure if it's VanHeist's or my own. Likely both.
I haven't actually read it, but what's the story with Gogo anyway? I've gotten the impression that she must be from somewhere else considering her physique, manner of speaking, and often primal attitude.
shes some kind of tribal woman. We don't really know how old she is, but their are comics of her doing battle in a middle-earth like setting, though I don't know how cannon they are. she got so strong because she was kicked around in school alot, but met a guy who taught her to stick up for herself. theirs probably more, but I don't keep very close tabs on it
>The comic is innocent,
It's literally just "look at my fetish guys" ad nauseam. no story, no character, just shit fetish with variable quality art that stopped improving years ago.
She's kind of a kaiju; her backstory isn't too well explained but she has some murder grudge against her mom and she can do weird magic stuff. Also this >>79133693
Eh, maybe it's just that I haven't read all of it but it seems more than that. Don't tell me VanHeist dropped the ball.
oh man this is some classic /b/ stuff I remember
'>Pickaxe hands JACK
>the giant well of screams
>School shooter edgelord
he actually has a girlfriend that helps him make these you know.
theyre fucking amazing reads.
On the same level as Sonicchu in terms of "why cant i put this down"
Jack actually has some genuinely interesting ideas
Like I think maybe if it wasn't for the internet, like if he never had the opportunity to get into furry shit, maybe he would have expressed himself via strange, edgy, cult-like scribblings and gained some sort of an oddball following
I wouldn't say he dropped the ball. It puts out the same vibes it always had. Its not blatantly sexual, but it certainly feels like a relationship fantasy. Its cute at least.
> it looks like you are attentionwhoring.
Think about this for a second. Because this is the argument I run into the most on 4chan. And it BAFFLES.
If I'm anonymous, how can I be after attention? This is like a hologram being after hugs. Or a net trying to catch water.
What good does attention whoring do me, as someone with at least two functioning brain cells?
This is the OPPOSITE of attentionwhoring. And if you said you had a problem with that instead, I would understand it. But you used the antonym!
> Waaaah waaah I wanna post my comic but then people would call me an attention whore
> "Post it you dumb attention whore"
> WAAAAH WAAAAH I AM NOT AN ATTENTION WHORE
Holy shit, you unbearable faggot. Post your fucking comic and stop bitching. Jesus christ.
How attractive one is and how insecure one is are entirely unrelated qualities. I know it must be difficult to imagine, anon, but even if you didn't look like somebody tried to make a human out of overcooked rice, you'd still know deep down that you were an unlikable shit.
scribblehatch pls. Your comic as of now is pretty mediocre, unless changes are made people are not going to get engaged. It's just boring bruh, and your fetishes are getting in the way for your progress. If you were just doing it for fun I'd just tell u to do whatever you want, but I know you want it to be popular.
it appeals to my huge woman fetish.
that's the only real reason i read it
bad machinery is the best thing john allison ever did
if only for the setting and it seems if i dont particularly like an arc ill keep reading
Derelict is a good comic.
How is there no rule 34 of Impala yet?
I only read it because I'm a furfag with a paw fetish.
Yeah, it is. I wouldn't call it the best or a must read but I recommend it as a fun comic about magic and shit
I guess it's not for you. I don't really find it boring, but whatever, different strokes for different folks I suppose.
I've never been sure, do people honestly not care for Skin Horse, or do they just not know about it?
It's one of my favorite webcomics, easily top 10, but below the likes of Dr McNinja, Unsounded and Stand Still Stay Silent for obvious reasons.
Same reason people post things guaranteed to get replies, for no other reason than it would give them replies.
Attentionwhoring takes many shapes and forms. In the end all it comes down to is wanting attention.
and since your post mentioning a webcomic you refuse to name has absolutely no value in this thread I cannot see how it would be anything but.
Feel free to tell yourself otherwise but it is how it is.
Pretty much this. You're not going to get any notoriety, but you can damn well still receive attention. There's a reason why everyone gets a slight excitement from seeing (you) next to a post number.
Odd. He left off the panel where the alien and his 50 mates storm the town centre and molest/rape all the local women they find and the police ignore it because they're frightened of being accused of discrimination.
I wonder if some ice cream would help fix that?
I've been reading this for a few years now. I mostly read it out of habit though.
Oh quit being a little bitch, you could finish your story in your free time if you actually paced it decently and stopped packing it full of underdeveloped ideas.
Your art doesn't have to be popular and financially self-sufficient for you to grow as an artist and complete stories.
Rule #1 of comics: people are easily fooled by coloring.
Your comic could be poorly composed wonk-ass bullshit, but if it's colored well enough most people just assume it's good artwork.
The writer/artist is kind of a douche. But then again I don't follow his sfw stuff, just his poor excuse for a porn comic Demon Dreggs that he rarely updates so that whenever it takes ten pages for it to get to sex, it's been a year since he's drawn so much as a tit for it.
I love both Unsounded and Oglaf so I have to ask, what's so good about Sandra & Woo?
I've never read it, but their ads are what have completely turned me off from ever giving it a try. They always come across as WOW LOOK HOW CLEVER THIS COMIC IS and it just irks me something nasty.
This is pretty tame compared to some actual shit that happened. Romans trained a bunch of baboons and then let them loose on a bunch of little blond girls. And then they had horses and lions rape women in bondage. Musical chair rape seems super vanilla by comparison.
>if you actually paced it decently and stopped packing it full of underdeveloped ideas.
Any story can be completed in a relatively short period of time. What matters is the level of detail you want to give and your pacing. If what you've got so far is any indication, your story isn't complex enough to justify hundreds of pages of setup. If you just suck it up and stop embellishing you can actually finish your story, look at it, learn from it, and move on. There's no story that can't be done in your free time, just levels of ambition, and if you're sitting on /co/ whining about how unpopular you are maybe you don't have what it takes to see your ambition through yet regardless of how popular you are.
