Time sure has flown in Endtown. 2 years already?
>and not for the lack of asking.
holly obviously tried to suppress all her has traumas instead of seeking for help, bitch was a emotional time bomb and the milk trial triggered her... no wonder she exploded like she did, spraying her bullshit on everyone's faces.
Current Holly LOVES cheese. It's what got her caught up in the whole milk trial thing after all.
Her saying she is lactose intolerant is just another blow to Wally's "do I even know her" moment.
brings the question though, do people develop animal senses or instincts on mutation? i mean we know they do get traits to some extent, kirbee's tail being detachable and her tongue being large as fuck being good examples, but things like sharp sense of smell, and eating habits?
Well, at least the mutation had one positive effect.
Aside from making her adorable
>cant eat cheese
KILL HER WALLY ITS ALL BEEN A LIE
right, but she did seems pretty obsessed with cheese in marx ship, could be be cause she developed lust for cheese during mutation (i know real mice are not into cheese but still) or simply cause she just had a chance to try cheese again...
Eating cheese isn't a natural instinct for a mouse.
On the other hand, "I've been turned into a mouse, guess I'd better starting eating cheese" is the kind of thing a human would think.
In all honesty at that point I would've dropped her dead. It's just the sum of her holding out on Wally despite him telling his darkest secret (Killing the teacher), threatening him with violence and then instead of showing remorse giving him "The stare".
Don't stick your dick into crazy
This. Even after attempting suicide right before his eyes, she tells him nothing about herself.
Something about this feels pretty cringey
idk man, im a full blown kirbeefag but i believe she looks pretty cute as human.
those cock sucking lips though...
>Holly's husbando confirmed for stand up guy.
Kirbee played Sarah before Aaron bumped kirbee up from NPC to player character
Anon I have no idea what you're talking about I made like two edits because they were funny.
Well at least she isn't mentally retarded.
Besides Im pretty sure this is supposed to be the part where we all feel bad for hating what Holly has been doing for everything after Unity.
>Besides Im pretty sure this is supposed to be the part where we all feel bad for hating what Holly has been doing for everything after Unity.
she needs to get fucked incredibly hard for me to feel sorry about her, after all the bullshit she pulled off...
Okay, the waifu faggotry is fun in small doses, let's look beyond it for a moment. A few points:
-At no point has Holly even hinted at any jealous feelings towards Kirbee. Various anon have speculated as to whether or not Holly knew about the kiss; Aaron has she didn't.
-Holly is stressing out big time being in the Wastes (and out of her comfort zone), but is trying to put on a brave face. An mistake perhaps, but that doesn't make her a bad person.
-Brace yourselves, but Holly's backstory gets DARK! When all is said and done, you're attitude towards Holly will more than likely change. Again, it doesn't make her a bad person, just a complex one. Like other characters in every media known to man, Holly has the potential to rise above her past and grow.
-Holly is not crazy because of Kirbee, and it's childish to behave as if she is. This notion that everything would be great between Wally and Holly if Kirbee wasn't there is just plain goofy.
-And on that subject, Hollyfans are disappointing me the most of all. Rather than sticking for your gal with art, stories or positive posts, that only thing you can think to do is bash Kirbee. Do you REALLY think that's a solution? In doing so you reveal that you actually have little faith in Holly or her future.
-Aaron has stated before, this is Endtown, not the Holly and Wally Show. Sometimes relationships don't work out; it happens. It's not the end of the world. Are you queasy in seeing Holly happily married to Lyn? Are you made at this guy for weakening the OTP status of Wally x Holly? Do you see Wally as the guy Holly had to settle for? Worry about Holly's long term health above and beyond everything else. Do art and stories about everything that's good about Holly if you're serious.
>-At no point has Holly even hinted at any jealous feelings towards Kirbee. Various anon have speculated as to whether or not Holly knew about the kiss; Aaron has she didn't.
i never claimed she knew about the kiss but her past behavior on the shit does seems to suggest her last fuck up was induced by a bit of jealousy, maybe not jealous over the fact that kirbee is stealing part of wally's heart away, but over the fact that kirbee has been on top of her actions and has been overall more useful member of the party unlike her, pic related seems to indicate that, for me at least.
>-Holly is stressing out big time being in the Wastes (and out of her comfort zone), but is trying to put on a brave face. An mistake perhaps, but that doesn't make her a bad person.
no one is claiming she's a bad person because of this, she is endangering everyone though, and she needs to stop pretending to be something shes not.
>Brace yourselves, but Holly's backstory gets DARK! When all is said and done, you're attitude towards Holly will more than likely change. Again, it doesn't make her a bad person, just a complex one. Like other characters in every media known to man,
ill wait and see, at this point 100 miscarriages are not gonna redeem her for me...
>Holly has the potential to rise above her past and grow
i really hope this is the case, i like her i really do, but her past bullshit just put me off really bad.
>-Holly is not crazy because of Kirbee, and it's childish to behave as if she is. This notion that everything would be great between Wally and Holly if Kirbee wasn't there is just plain goofy.
well if kirbee wasnt there they would all be dead.
>Rather than sticking for your gal with art, stories or positive posts, that only thing you can think to do is bash Kirbee.
I may be the biggest Hollyfag around
to the point where I refuse drawing lewds of her or Endtown in generalbut I don't bash Kirbee and have happily drawn her before.
>And on that subject, Hollyfans are disappointing me the most of all. Rather than sticking for your gal with art, stories or positive posts, that only thing you can think to do is bash Kirbee. Do you REALLY think that's a solution? In doing so you reveal that you actually have little faith in Holly or her future.
well to be fair, waifu bashing comes back and forth from side to side, i havent seen any holly hate art from kirbee fans though.
>Aaron has stated before, this is Endtown, not the Holly and Wally Show. Sometimes relationships don't work out; it happens. It's not the end of the world. This, is what i hold into, as a proud kirbee fag i would like to believe this paragraph. Wally and holly have been together the longest, do they deserve each other? absolutely, but claiming they will stay together because of this no matter what is really dumb and turns the comic into an extremely predictable chickflick, i am not suggesting they have to split up in order to the comic to be any good, but is not having an idea of what could happen what engages me the most in this comic and thats why i think its fucking great.
well see what the future holds...
Well its been the Holly and Wally show for a good while now. The first main characters were in the lead for like 1 arc. Wally and Holly have been in the lead for like 4-5 arcs now, taking somewhat of a backseat for the Milk trial.
Previous in Endtown RPG:
The crew encounters dittos and topsiders and things get super messy to the point an entire building came down...
And here's a picture of Everett and Martin fighting off a swarm Dittos.
>TFW we never got a clear look at what "Petey" used to look like when he was human
>Marx could have been bullshitting but indicated the man who became Petey never loved Flask back
>Was immune and could have been with/near Holly when the virus was in full swing but survive
INB4 Lyn was the faceless immune and became Petey.
Hair and body type don't quiiiiiite fit, but fuckit I'll wear my tinfoil hat anyways.
This panel is a great big setup for something really awful that's about to happen over the next couple weeks
Or maybe they all just eat their pancakes and have a great time. Let's face it, for Kirbee and Chic this is probably the best day they've had in all their miserable mutated existence, and Holly's past can't change that.
dammit hollyfag, at least edit it properly.
There's something about Holly's behavior in this page that stuck with me.
Contemplating another suicide attempt?
>all these anons saying holly cant eat cheese
she can eat cheese since she mutated; similarly to how sarah was cured of cancer when she mutated, holly was cured of her lactose intolerance and ironically turned into a mouse
She actually snapped 492 pages ago in 2013. The last three years have been a downward spiral for Holly. Wally fucked up too, he should have left her in the hospital, but she would have given up and killed herself (by trying to escape/escaping and dying in the wasteland, alone) without him for sure. The burden lay on Wally to decide if running away with her was wise. It was not a great idea either way, but at least now Holly has a chance to really face her demons.
I'm not even a waifufag and I've been called a hollyfag on four separate occasions just for making a statement that was in no way related to any waifu shit
these threads are shit now, and you let it happen. You let the rats win.
What will it take to get everybody shut the fuck up about the Holly vs. Kirbee bullshit already?
The Kirbee and Clive shit was clearly a setup for this storyline, and even she admitted there was something wrong with her. Honestly, I don't care if Holly lives or dies, but this is obviously happening for a reason.
Y'all are getting mad at fictional characters. This is like the only good place to talk about Endtown and everyone's too busy getting mad at fictional characters.
Yeah pretty much... Well despite all the waifufaggotry I still have my RPG sessions and I can drew OCs (Too bad no one does that no more) instead of stupid arguments about waifufaggotry.
>I don't give hand outs. In my world, you either behave or you deserve death.
Waifu fagging is serious business. I recall the early days of these threads how there was very few waifu fags. As the comic got more popular here, the waifu fags started to show up.
I just miss stuff like picture related being posted.
In my head-cannon, the mutation has a psychological and physical component.
The physical is pretty obvious, it turns you into a anthro species has the strongest trait or aspect that directly cures or removes your greatest physical and biological intolerances, flaws and defects.
And the psychological component is you take upon the anthro species habits and wired instincts or bias that you personally believe they behave, and not how they actually behave in the wild.
Not the husky girl actually. It was about a chameleon girl surviving shortly after the bombs dropped. Here's the first chapter if you'd want to read any.
>I got midway through the second chapter before everyone lost interest.
Can't be doing stuff like that for other people.
Unless you've already found some significant popularity, you need to be able to do it for your own sake or else odds are you're not gonna have enough steam to run on.
i would to get drunk with Allie and wake up in bed next to her with no memory from the night before.
They're not really fursonas if they are are just coming up with a character, whether it's for the RPG or not. It doesn't matter. In all honesty, I prefer Endtown OCs WAY over any other fursunas with moon runs or some shit.
Either way, OCs beat waifufagging by a country mile.
I like post apocalypse scenarios where things from the 'old world' take on different connotations.
I was once tempted to play a character who was a sniper heroic type, didnt get close to people. His mark was a silver badge he wore on his chest. When before the cataclysm, he was just a depressed and bored night guard who was a mildly lackadaisical hoarder.
He didnt get close to people because of his deep (and mostly) illogical fear of mutants and getting ambushed.
then the game fell through.but damn id love to play a character like that in endtown's universe.
While you waifufaggots were warring I've went and asked Aaron few questions about the comic.
> 1. Is there dissidence in Topsider ranks or outrank rebellion? I do recall reading few studies about how deeply isolation/feel of paranoia like that affects psyche. And even with a rigid military regime, dissidence grows to monstrous proportions leading to unrest and high amount of casualties. I do feel a lot of scientists working for Topsiders have realised that the 'purification' is impossible - the virus is residual and even dosing everything in lethal radiation won't solve the problem. I'm pretty sure even some of the grunts are having second thoughts at this point - as the time grows and no results are seen, people do start to wonder. I am aware that we're getting only a slice of the world right now in the comic but it really makes me wonder with all the information suppression (Linda being denied seeing her kid, Jim's comment about how unsure he is how "safe mutation work") there would be a big rumour mill going on after a while.
Topsider culture is hinged on a fear of a fate worse than death. That's an incredibly powerful tool to keep dissidence of *any* kind in check. The idea that the only thing standing between your life and becoming some insane monstrosity is a few millimeters of plastic and a mask is something you live with every waking moment of your life. You're then reminded of that fact, over and over again, and also reminded that it's the integrity of the system that makes it possible for you to simply wait for the day that the suits can come off. And that's all you're REALLY being asked to do; just *wait*.. and is that really so much to ask? Hell, here's a wide variety of designer drugs you can inhale through your re-breathing system.. And did you know you can volunteer to impale those furry mutant fuckers on spikes? Go nuts!
So, yeah.. desperate belief and existential dread make for a fairly smooth operation. The dropouts tend to drop out because of divided loyalties; Flask's love for Petey, Jim's love for Sarah.. emotional crises which lead Topsiders out of their comfort zone. Within that bubble, Topsiders are dangerously deluded, if not simply insane.
Some major revelations about the virus at the end of the Holly flashback, btw.
> 2. For some reason some of the Topsider grunt scenes remind me of the movie Wizards and the scenes with grunts there. Was this an intentional nod?
You're not the first to mention Wizards. I've never seen it.
> 3. I recall Flask talking about topsider helmets having "VR vision" installed giving them a bit distorted view of the world. Funnily enough I do recall an old game with a similar narrative concept where a grunt was outfitted with an enviro-suit (and told that he will die if he will remove it) and VR vision (making a planted he was sent to as a part of a purging mission a living hellhole with demonic inhabitiants). It was called Quantum Gate I believe. Was that an insipration for some of the Topsiders features?
This is the first I'm hearing about it. The Topsiders' mask features are actually based on WWI gas masks coupled with the radiator grill of a mid-century car. The VR concept was deductive reasoning; another tool to make lifetime suit-wearing feel "normal".. It makes it appear as if other Topsiders AREN'T wearing awful suits.
> 4. In regards to today's comic - how much of the original tastes and instincts get 'overwritten' by mutation? There were already few instances of that being shown, but how severe is it?
It's another hint about the actual nature of the mutations, along with Sarah's temporary amnesia. It varies from person to person. Gustine was definitely altered emotionally and temperamentally and she's aware of that.. Wally has the catnip frenzy to contend with (fortunately there's not much catnip around after the apocalypse). There's also the risk of lowered IQ.. We'll get into that sooner or later.
> 5. Going back a few pages yesterday to Flask/Satellite arc I noticed that Linda while being paralyzed started to mutate and it was not so instantaneous. How much of a window one has to put a Topsider to sleep before he goes full voremouth? Would an explosion that rips the suit and knocks a guy out turn him into a regular anthro or a horror?
There's a window of a few seconds..between five and ten.. before the mutation becomes terminal. An explosion that knocks a Topsider unconscious while simultaneously tearing the suit would absolutely result in an anthro. I'd have to say that that would be incredibly, fantastically rare, though, as any explosion strong enough to tear a suit would likely kill the Topsider outright.
> 6. If I understand correctly or at least what I deducted - awareness your body is changing is what makes the mutation go into horror, right? Being aware you're being mutated is what causes an increased stress level and makes the mutation go into horrorland. Because I've noticed in the Sparkplug flashbacks a lot of anthros fleeing left and right and I doubt they were people that were just sleeping on the street when the virus spread.
Adult consciousness alone triggers monsterism. The victim doesn't need to be aware of anything.. The awareness, however, does make the end result much, much worse. Most of the anthros seen in Sparkplug's flashback were, in fact, asleep. There aren't a lot of them.. The duck guy, in particular, I'd imagined had just stumbled out of his apartment and into the street.
>adult consciousness alone triggers monsterism
I am missing something here? Why did Sparkplug's daughter became a monster if she was a child at the time?
Same thing for the mutant with the teddybear.
There was a time when instead of faggots arguing over waifus like in every shit thread, Endtown threads regularily produced genuine Original Content and thoughtful discussion. The comic has since then attracted the attention of many more people, among them lamers who shit up threads. It was inevitable.
We came up with a character who was literally a furry before the war and by some fluke became exactly the animal she wanted to be. Now her entire life is in shambles because everyone and everything she knew is gone and she's being hunted by topsiders.
I said similar, not identical. The triangle is inverted, the circle isn't the same size, and the colors are slightly different.
Plus the transporters use human brains so they probably weren't made before the war. No point on putting the logo of a pre-war company on it.
Considering that Apex had armed forces before the war, I can see them seizing power easily.
>Linda was teased as a child because her last name sounded like "koala"
>completely forgot about it as she grew up
>mutation digs up those ancient memories and translates them into reality
Thanks. Keep it coming.
That's pretty cool, anon. I'd be glad if you continued.
According to my (limited) experience, fursonas tend to have a lot more horns, wings, piercings, esoteric fur patterns and glowing penises.
In that page, Apex and the government are two different entities.
>According to my (limited) experience, fursonas tend to have a lot more horns, wings, piercings, esoteric fur patterns and glowing penises.
Well, you're not wrong. A bit too many characters with neon genitalia and nipples, imo.
Drawfriend here, who gets a lot of fursona commissions. I REALLY hate drawing peoples OC's because few are well thought out or designed. WAY too many ridiculous hybrid animals (with at least one element being a dragon or gryphon), outlandish coloration, and more than their fair share of penises.
Another Drawfriend. While I get more 'mudane' shit (I think I had 2-3 overdesigned dragons to draw in my career) , the worst thing about furry OC for me is exotic genitalia. Fuck that shit so hard.
>fursonas tend to have a lot more horns, wings, piercings, esoteric fur patterns and glowing penises.
I always just differentiated them by how their creator treats them.
OCs are just characters they make up, and fursonas are OCs they try to identify as somehow.
Most of the Endtown pieces I've done were commissions (tho a few were done for Aaron)
Look man, the most horrible thing you can do is getting typecasted into your fetish. Then you're never gonna go out. Endtown for me is a great outlet cause it lets me showcase art I can never get commissioned for (Or can I?). It's funny how little I draw of my fetishes lately wanting to concentrate on providing just solid general art that is attracts people that thoroughly enjoy that type of art. And I'm not afraid of losing the fetish audience cause that one will be satiated with commission stuff.
Here's something from another RPG piece I'm doing for Everett's backstory.
His story is rather long so here's a few bullet points:
A PhD working at a university, chemistry faculty at the time when the bombs hit (And since the university campus was located in a secluded area, so the bombs didn't do as much damage). The virus hit him when he has fallen asleep in his office. He had the unfortunate first-seat view of his colleagues getting slaughtered by those that mutated, some of which actually made out alive in either altered or unaltered state. He manage to save about 4 books that he thought would be "Essential to rebuilding the civilization" and fled. After which he was just wandering whatever was left of the civilization going from colony to colony but never truly fitting in and preferring to wander alone. He kept an extensive journal of his travels detailing mutation research, horrors of wasteland, fighting tactics etc.
During his travels he has grown to hate topsiders to the point of an obsession. He had witnessed few 'euthanasias' already and it only made his blood boil. Instead of using direct warfare he has been using mines, explosives and booby traps to defend himself and wreck havoc amongst what he considers an "insult to humanity and science". He's quite unreasonable in his obsession, resorting to acts of violence against mutated topsiders.
Right now he's working with Endtowners but things are getting more and more tense between him and the rest of the party due to his erratic behaviours.
holly deserved to have the shit slapped out of her and more for fucking threatening the rest of the group, including and ESPECIALLY chic whos a literal child and couldnt possibly have done anything wrong at all
>hollyfags are literally willing to excuse their waifu beating a child
cant really have sex with a child abusing, suicidal maniac either. i mean you could, but would you? you'd have to be willing to turn a blind eye to pretty much everything just for her looks-- oh.
> Anons ask for a RPG character backstory
> Anon post its
> HURR DURR BLOGPOSTING
I swear /co/ is the least /tg/-friendly of the boards, despite having the most material that would be /tg/-applicable.
>cant really have sex with a child abusing, suicidal maniac either
I don't think I've drawn her before.
>oh gosh people remember
These guys have an entire story written about them that has been turning into a fancomic.
I've been crazy busy, but I have been doing some work for the RPG. If you post some OC, I might have time to sketch some stuff out like old times!
Now I'm both aroused and sad. Damn you.
Good shit though.
here, i was gonna shop a collage of pics from the comic but i remembered Aaron actually made a sheet for wally a while back.
I haven't drawn for a good four years or so, but maybe I can make out something decent. I'll see if I can get it done tomorrow, might have free time once the snow hits and shuts down everything.
Hmm... I have an idea for and RPG character if you don't mind sketching it for me. He's a former construction worker turned into a humanoid Praying Mantis mutant. That only real clothing he wears is an old torn safety vest.
As a side note, may I ask what you're doing for the RPG?
Heh, if you don't mind me adding on to the idea, what if he duct tapes hammers and other tools onto one of his forelegs whenever he's building things, with a construction helmet covering only the center of his head while his eyes are sticking out the side?
Thanks, best of luck with your side of the snow.
Supposed to be getting snow for tomorrow and Friday before jumping back up from below 10 degrees to the 40s and 50s on the weekend. Crazy stuff man.
Well description doesn't exist per say. But here's my first sketch of him. 4'11" red panda wearing a white shirt and cloth pants. Shirt always tucked in and his black tie loosely tied. He wears round glasses that look a bit ridiculous. Also he carries a satchel full of bombs with him as well as a backpack where he keeps his rations and books.
Possibly, but I don't think astigmatism is curable in the same way cancer is. Your eyesight can be fixed with correctional lenses, but the problem is still there; on the other hand, you can (mostly) get rid of cancer.
Who knows? Aaron might.
He's basically Rimmer but makes hand grenades for fun.
Maybe, seems like the kind of thing he'd do to boost his ego, like showing how he's a true scientist by preserving his coat and glasses or something.
I remember Gustine wearing glasses too, but I can kind of see that getting excused because rhinos have pretty shitty eyesight.
Anyway, so if mutating doesn't fix eyesight, why wouldn't it? It fixes cancer and allergies, heals wounds at an astounding rate, can give increased speed or power
which is a complete gamble depending on what you mutate into, etc...
Everett clings to his old ways to ward off insanity - tying a tie, tucking a shirt.. not sure if to make glasses are real or not. Think of them as sanity keeping.
Gonna mail him again on Saturday. I'll ask
Mallard is all flash. Who knows what hides behind those opaque glasses but I think for him it might be a blend of design choice with ego.
I don't know if Aaron's mails have ever gone into it but has Aaron ever mentioned what ideologies or morals he's trying to push through Endtown?
I feel so sorry for all of these characters.
They are really going through hell yet they all look so adorable. Inside of all those fuzzy little cartoon animals are terrified human beings...
That, and the seemingly harmless four-panel newspaper style can be pretty deceiving at first.
But that's what makes it so great
I still dont get all the hate for holly
Ive read the whole comic from beginning to end twice, and its pretty clear from her introduction she was being set up to crash as hard as she did.
worryingly, Ive noticed kirbee is following the same path... naive innocent girl, cheerfull despite all the tragedy... only she hasnt had anything nasty enough to really hurt her... yet. And holly was ok until wally came into her life... and he just came into kirbees...
That's implying the horror of what happened at Unity won't ram full speed into her down the line. We as viewers don't even know if Kirbee had any eggs while she was there, what she thought of the purging of Unity with all the other animal anthros, or even what her life was like before.
Hell, she might have already had one years ago and this is her coping mechanism to let the tragedies and shit roll off her back.
Or, conversely, her IQ dropped when she became a mutant and she physically cannot retain negativity, ending up something like an emotionally numb Dory from Finding Nemo.
>no qt southern lizard gf to do that AND
>go eat shitty food at state fairs and laugh about it
>drive really fast on a county road because the cops are all on the i-30 so no one cares
>go camp out in the Ozarks with in the fall when all the leaves are changing and the mountain lights up in orange and red
>watch drunk idiots go noodling
>go to a NASCAR rally and watch people burn out like crazy
>take a turn off of the highway just a few miles out of town, where the lights are low, watch the stars from afar, and cuddle in the chill Arkansas air
Goddamnit, I miss Little Rock. Why the fuck are lizard girlfriends not real and WHY DO I MISS LITTLE ROCK?!?!
>I still dont get all the hate for holly
i don't think anyone really hates her, i think people is just upset at her behavior and they are blowing off steam.
>its pretty clear from her introduction she was being set up to crash as hard as she did.
aaron stated this many times, so yes, it was just a matter of time.
>worryingly, Ive noticed kirbee is following the same path... naive innocent girl, cheerfull despite all the tragedy...
i disagree here, i believe she has been good at keeping her feelings in check in order for them to not jeopardize the party in any way, specially her feelings towards wally... until recently anyways.
No no no.
I do not have Aaron's permission to quote my email conversation with him, but this a relevant quote:
>AARON: "[...] Moreover, Kirbee's balance between adult and child-like traits is driven by a personal philosophy, not trauma. [...]"
She is an Endtown character so she has experienced tragedy, but her personality is not the result of traumas.
Not to jump to conclusions, but
A nearly a decade later Holly is still unable to accept losing her husband, child and human body and has completely snapped
Linda was borderline suicidal just weeks after becoming a mutant from the shock, and her son is still alive somewhere. She carries the guilt of having killed people as a Topsider
Gustine was borderline schism and got a whole arc about it
Flask was suicidal for obvious reasons
Allie was borderline suicidal after losing both her friends and getting clawed
Maude crys herself to sleep holding her husbands photograph
We don't know Dottie well enough yet (hopefully we will get to!)
And Kirbee is consistently happy and not fucked up depite witnessing the deaths of hundreds on two seperate occations and living on a diet of human mutant fetuses. Somethings up with her we dont know yet.
>>I still dont get all the hate for holly
>i don't think anyone really hates her, i think people is just upset at her behavior and they are blowing off steam.
Pretty much this. She mistreats her friends, but only because she's not well.
Threadly reminder that Jim is the most handsome character of the comic.
Instead of wondering what authors are "trying to push", figure out what their work says to you. Subtle difference, but the latter is a much better question, unless you're just looking for teams to boo and cheerlead.
I just imagine them with voices slightly higher or lower depending on their size.
Like, assuming Wally started off with a normal, grown up man voice, he'd probably just sound a bit higher now, but not to the point of sounding cartoonish, like a younger man.
I still have very human voices in my head, though, never the full-on "helium voice" thing. I imagine Wally (was it Wally?) just called it that because having your voice go up a few semitones would feel like a gigantic change, right after mutating. It doesn't have to mean that it's actually the kind of voice you get after taking helium.
Also, I think Kirbee would still have her normal voice, if not deeper. Same for all the large mutants.
It's also extra effort to imagine an affected voice like that. Reading Donald Duck comics, I have to try hard to imagine the TV voices for any period of time. It's easier to just read with more natural voices.
>Reading Donald Duck comics
Oh god, yes. Like any Eurofag, I grew up reading Disney comics and only later got to know the cartoons - it's absolutely impossible for me to picture Donald with the cartoony voice. He always just sounded normal in my head.
She's probably in shock or disbelief. I could imagine she probably had lots of eggs and she's been stunned ever since she heard thy are all dead. Watch her go berserk if she ever meets Sarah again.
Reptilian mutation does not make them retarded. If anything Kirbee would be considered an anomaly with her behavior being so different to every lizard seen.
Does anyone have that fanart of a photo of Kirbee as a kid pre-disaster at the rodeo?
A really bad day is sometimes all that it takes.
I honestly tought this OC shit was the worst thing that could happen to Endtown discussion back in the day, but now that we have neverending waifu wars instead I realize how wrong I was.
>screw up their order
...oh wait, she only said ONE of their best customers.
>they do it deliberately because they hate her too
>can't eat something or get massive diarrhea
>put in the thing you can't eat
Not even a Hollyfag but she isn't wrong.
Though I empathize more with her husband in sticking to things you know.
>they do it deliberately because they hate her too
>they do it deliberately because they hate her too
ask waiter to take it back and get a new one free of charge
demand your husband leave his favorite restaurant forever and go to a more expensive joint just because you've started being able to afford it
>demand your husband leave his favorite restaurant forever and go to a more expensive joint just because they loaded your food down with something you specifically told them you can't eat
>clearly the world revolves around one single person and restaurants (especially cheaper ones) aren't bogged the fuck down with customers and can fuck up your order, still willing to take it back and replace it free
spotted the child. maybe someday if you have to work service you'll figure it out.
>he's shitty enough at his job to fuck up a simple order and thinks everyone's as incompetent as himself
Just because your coworkers aren't terrible people and were willing to make light of fucking up an order when medical problems were involved doesn't make it okay.
Aaron kills Holly, Kirbeefans rejoice even though it proabibly drives Wally over the edge with greif and they never fuck off.
Kirbee dies and a huge shitfling starts, Aarons inbox is flooded with sperg emails and the threads get worse anyway.
>Kirbee dies and a huge shitfling starts, Aaron's inbox is flooded with sperg emails
nope. i admit, if Aaron ends up killing kirbee ill get mad as fuck, however i am not gonna hold Aaron's narrative and creativity ransom over a character.
>Aaron kills Holly, Kirbeefans rejoice even though it probably drives Wally over the edge with grief and they never fuck off.
>Kirbee dies and a huge shit fling starts, Aaron's inbox is flooded with sperg emails and the threads get worse anyway.
Hollyfags actually believe this!
I worked at a busy deli for a couple years during college, if a customer says that they cannot eat something becasue of a health issue I make damn sure I don't fucking poison them.
Are you me? Though at least the waifu wars have some good character insights among the retarded shit-flinging.
>they do it deliberately because they hate her too
>Though at least the waifu wars...
Don't. There's nothing redeeming about this. But I don't expect anyone to stop, it's more productive to learn how to ignore discussion you dislike and focus on keeping the discussion you enjoy going.
>Thinking about attempting to adapt the RPG to a MUD
>Go looking for a MUD engine/codebase to work with
>I see four modern engines, one of which was abandoned for a few years but has seen some recent development
>Deliantra, Evennia, CoffeeMud, or RanvierMUD
>CoffeeMud seems to be pretty damn feature-rich, Evennia has a nice persistence feature, Deliantra is graphical, and RanvierMUD claims to have good documentation
Anyone with any experience with any of these engines that have some advice? Comments?
Here's from someone that worked a lot on CoffeeMUD.
It's a tough cookie for sci fi. Large portions have to be rewritten or/and amputated (spells!). The grinder is great for worldmaking but it has bugs. Hell... get ready for a fucking bugfest in some fields! I think the memory leaks are fixed but still... shit can wreck the server. The scripting language is severely limited and coding stuff is better
It's an OK engine to build on but not ok for Endtown.
I'm glad you pointed the bugfest part out. I was hoping since it was version 5.x or 6.x it would be a bit more mature than that.
Right now I'm split between Evennia and Deliantra, since the persistence would be nifty, but graphical would be nifty too.
> Holly attempts to beat information out of Chic
"Holly's under a lot of stress!"
>restaurant accidentally screws up her order
"THOSE INHUMAN MONSTERS! THINK OF HER BABY!!!
Just fucking send the plate back, you goddamned drama queen! Jeez, an eatery worth it's salt will replace it without hesitation.
Agreed. The oc stuff never detracted from the comics discussion like all this waifu shit. We came up with some interesting discussions too like
>what happened to all the natural animals?
>what if there were more survivors outside the bombed countries, unaffected or not as badly affected?
>what if there were more Topsider dissidence?
call of pripyat's ost is really fucking good, the jupiter ambience is just chill inducing
this is what my mind was playing when wally was exploring albion west...
Ah, gotta love 40's propaganda.
I powered through this just because I was curious about how furry post-apocalyptic comic would even work. Although it's rather predictable in its drama I think I'll be checking back every so often to see what's happened, because it's nothing if not entertaining.
Lactose intolerance isn't the same as an allergic reaction. Allergic reactions cause committing, well in, and breaking out in hives. Lactose intolerance just causes constipation and a case of the farts.
It's like saying you can't hold something because you don't have thumbs versus holding something will cause you to burst into flames.
Guess this is why Holly is abit of a cheese head, huh? The rat thing is a part of that I sure but she hasn't had cheese her whole life until she mutated.
Now she is a cheese addict.
>Here comes one of our best right now.
>...And the short stack bitchcake he knocked up.
It's not major bugs though, except garbage collection maybe but a lot of shit plain does not work the way it should.
The most important thing though should be combat. Endtowns combat is too lethal for D&D
It's not an all or nothing thing, it depends on how hard the cheese is and how long it's aged. And people have different sensitivities. If an American diner plate is "loaded with cheese" it's probably semi-soft and present in sufficient quantity to mess up someone who's really intolerant.
a bit of a big difference between that and a diner like this, dipshit, considering the order can pass through a number of hands and are a bit more complex and time consuming to put together than a fucking deli, and the staff in way more of a rush
seriously are you retarded?
Why I don't like discussing Endtown on the GoComics page
Hey everyone! I've gotten abit of a new update.
>Robots are now under the species list with rules for creation and some features.
>...I think I spend too much time making a feature that I wouldn't suggest players use.
Besides that the next session will be this saturday 1/23 at the usual time.
Oh shit /co/! You've been hit with the mutagen while you were asleep and mutated into a random anthro!
Go to https://www.randomlists.com/random-animals , put quantity to 1, and see what animal you mutated into!
I already had anger problems, I don't need this.
At least I'm fucking adorable
Did mutating swap my gender too? Swapping species AND sexes might be a bit much to take in.
I'm completely cool with this.
Speaking of which, how's the story on the iguana lady going?
