Why have DC titles been so fucking awful for the last couple of years?
Well there's no accounting for tastes, but I really strongly disagree. I think DC's lineup the past couple years has been really strong, and it's a shame to see some of their new books earn such poor sales that they're getting cancelled left and right.
You are a fucking idiot. Jesus Christ that comic is where established characterization goes to die in support of ~cute~ feminist moments. The only good female led comic DC has had recently is Valentine Catwoman.
Most of the fringe titles are good. They should probably shift that talent to the big characters so that they make more money (like Prez would have done better if it was about a teenage Bruce Wayne running for president but you kept all the rest of the satire the same). I don't see a quality problem outside of the obvious (Flash, WW, GL).
Damn son, that bait thread really got you.
I'd say Gotham Academy (at least until this yearbook mess) and Legend of Wonder Woman have been good. And Black Canary is very much carried by the art but the writing is ok; at worst it's mediocre.
Damn that salt.
And DC has been pumping out enjoyable titles. Unlike Marvel which i just weep for.
I don't have high hopes for it because the source material for it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Russo involvement is promising though.
I think there was an article that said the executives were extremely pleased about how Civil War turned out. Don't think they'll try to change stuff like they did with Whedon.
AoU was fucked by test audiences and the executives specifically told Whedon he needs to make Ultron less scary and put more jokes.
But lets be real here. We'll watch them all

I'm interested in X-Man Apocalyse. Sure the X-Men movies aren't 100% accurate to the comics. But the movie looks pretty eXcitibg to me. I hope Cyclops and Nightcrawler get screentime over Mystique and Prof X.
Also I hope that Shazam movie is still getting made. That sounds really interesting.
Also, isn't Valiant comics getting movies?
>Also, isn't Valiant comics getting movies?
2018 I think, or maybe 2020, I'm not sure.
> I hope Cyclops and Nightcrawler get screentime over Mystique and Prof X.
It's gonna be a Prof X, Mystique, Magneto, Apocalypse and Jean Grey movie, anon. Fox and Marvel hate Rightclops.
>I hope Cyclops and Nightcrawler get screentime over Mystique and Prof X
Don't hold your breath on that.
Fox X-Men annoy me the most because they have so much potential to be truly amazing. Great actors, good director, but they blow it every time by giving too much screentime to 2 or 3 characters and ignoring the actual X-Men team. For once I want a movie that doesn't focus on Wolverine, Jenlaw or Xavier/Magneto drama.
> Aquaman was fucking fantastic up to the most recent arc which is just meh.
> Batwoman was phenomenal up until JHW3 left.
> Justice League has been great after the end of the Graves arc.
> Martian Manhunter is damn fun all around.
> Synder's Batman is great if your not a barney watcher that can't take a panel of violence without going into a coma and do not have irrational Biases about the Joker being perfectly Human and lame.
Is Sony still making that Animated Spidey movie? That could be cool.
Is Big Hero 6 getting a sequel? I know Incredibles is.
Honestly, I think there should be more animated cape movies. I think there's alot of potential there.
>bet someone would mention marvel within the first 3 posts
>barely make it
Nice. BvS has been pumping out pretty cool posters too. And Deadpool's marketing has been top tier. I wish the Civil War marketing team would step up. Their posters so far have been pretty generic.
Marvel posters are usually pretty bad, but they do have those retro/old style posters that are pretty cool.
>Jesus Christ that comic is where established characterization goes to die in support of ~cute~ feminist moments.
Oh no, not the established characterization of Gail Simone's Batgirl and whatever the fuck they were doing with Black Canary in Team 7.
Rapid decline after Tim basically became real batman 2.0.
DC universe was adamant about not having him have something good so they immediately rebooted him into a lesser pawn who has a shit drive and no real friends.
I think these were only given to the cast and not officially released as part of marketing at the time? Which is a shame because they're really good. They should've gone with these. They should use one for Cap 3.
No but that's one of the finer points, through the entire thing it amounts to all the work he did getting shafted and them making a new place for himself in the world. A bunch of people died and he gets some cool assassin friend and some old dead friends along the way.
Then nothing, he's an athletic pro with a mind to poke around despite how well he has it, then he gets his very loving parents in shit and they have to go into hiding and start a new life.
But the part where DC is shit because of Tim was a joke.
This is probably the best comic book movie poster
Not sure they'll make one for Cap 3 though, for TWS and Cap 1 they were inspired by those 70s thriller posters and war movie posters.
Cap 3 is the first one that doesn't have a "flavor" of something old. Obviously Cap 1 is inspired by some of those old war movies and the Russos said they looked at movies like Three Days of the Condor for TWS inspiration. They could make a comic book inspired poster for Civil War though, drawn by one of their artists.
These ones from BvS.
This is probably the best period of DC since One Year Later (I personally think it's miles ahead of even that though, and it hasn't completely fallen apart the way OYL did.), but I get the feeling you don't read comics anyway.
It's already miles better than Simone but then again that's not a very amazing feat
Why the fuck is this rated R for a character aimed at 12 year olds?
