Star visits /co/ Edition
Fanart Archive (NSFW):
I see they added the steam group to the OP. Some anon brought up a good point that having a public group could lead to spamming. So just send me a message or a comment on my profile saying your're from /sveg/ and ill add you to the group
Best advice I can give you is giving a story a go, putting it in a pastebin and associating it with an image in your post. If people like it, and you like it and want to write more then pop a simple name on to differentiate yourself.
I was watching the dance scene from Blood Moon Ball again when it occurred to me... Why wasn't Star surprised or bothered at all when she found out that Tom brought her to a (potentially) soul-binding dance? Why did she even go in the first place since she didn't seem at all into Tom or the dance itself?
STARCO IS CUTE AND PERFECT!
CUTE AND PERFECT!
Well, I tried a story before, in a pastebin link, and people seemed to like it; one even said that if I liked doing it then I should write more. I'm not much of a writer, but I do like writing whenever I have a good idea for a story.
SvtFoE is giving me inspiration, that I otherwise would not have had.
And in celebration of how great Starco is, people, I present to you:
1001 files dedicated entirely to it, with the best content for it one can find. Absolutely 0 duplicates, and everything is placed correctly in their respective folders.
To all the people out there as crazy about the ship as I am, I hope you like it.
>you will never do lewd things to Marco
Eh you're not missing out on too much. Nice little film, does a pretty good job on capturing that in your face Scottish-ness that you northern buggers seem to pride yourselves in.
I kid, you lot are lovely when you aren't out of your face on heroin or being incredibly racist.
Some fallout from having a magical classmate would be stellar, for such an interesting concept there's very little both in and out of the show relating to it. Which is odd considering how good IDFT was, and that was pretty much the focus of the episode
that and the MEMES
I presume she didn't really think of it as anything too malicious, just Tom trying to get her attention in a way she knew he knew she liked. Star's ability to think ahead of time is severely lacking, that's what Marco's for, hence his bad feeling about the whole thing. Star felt she would be able to handle herself regardless of any potential plots, which I suppose only she can make the call at the end of the day.
Was certainly a hot topic for discussion during the talkback threads.
That was likely me, I like to encourage anyone with a creative talent, if they enjoy it.Any chance of a link to it, there's no set rules on when you can put a name up, perhaps if and when you write something else, you do it under a named post?
Your much like me then. I've only recently picked up writing and I do it mostly for the fun of it and for the enjoyment of those that read my short stories. I don't claim to be a great amateurish writer, but I give it my all for the sake of making something anyone can have fun reading.
Good mindset to have. Not that there's really a bad one. Your green is good, and you ship harem, so you're alright in my book.
I used to write a little fanfiction 5-6-odd years ago. I've had a few ideas gere and there since, but posting here has been the only stuff I've even "completed" writing since 2011.
Still get a warm fuzzy feeling when somebody favourites my old stuff though.
Well, I deleted that last one because I felt it was bad. Too dramatic, lack of detail, etc. I usually write short stories, so I try to get the perfect set of words so that everything is used and nothing is wasted or unnecessary (authors like Borges and Joyce inspired me). But I did write that story at 2 AM so it was kinda going to be garbage since I was tired ad it was a first draft.
Pretty much. I don't write often. It usually always sounds better in my head, imagined as an actual episode or something. But I like it. I sometimes think of random fic ideas throughout the day and sorta use writing as a creative output since I can't draw for shit.
Although I am writing a small fic now. In short, what I plan: politically arranged royal marriages and King Marco of Mexico... sounds a lot shittier as an idea now that I say it like this. Sounded cooler in my head.
Was unexpectedly busy today, what did I miss, /sveg/?
I like this! I like this a whole lot!
I may TRY to make a pic of one of them doing the other's ponytail. I picture it as something really cute! but maybe leave that for another weekend, I said I would drop the Sabrina for now.
And yes I will finish that other pic I said I was gonna do, I was just busy today and could not finish it.
Thank you so much, drawsis!
Hi there, Matches! cute pic! I look forward to some Mope from you!
I-it ends with nothing bad happening... maybe...?
Oh well, that works...
Thanks Hoodie, I'm glad to hear I've cleared my title as the Harem Fag.
Don't worry to much about ideas sounding bad once written down, focus should go into making the idea work once you figure out how you wanna write it out. You don't have to worry about writing a great fic, we'll still enjoy whatever it is you can make.
Well perhaps the trick is start small, feel out writing for Star vs. through some good old green texts. Anons are always happy to offer some prompts if you're struggling a bit for conclusive ideas. But I imagine they're an easy way to steadily increase word count to prompt ratios. I mean, RedHoodie's 3 part green last thread is a prime example of the value you can get from short stories.
Some nice snippets of discussion actually, that and the usual shipping dissection and the few interesting posts from the sugclear fallout.
And as is always the case, when it's Sabco of course it ends poorly
That's because she's a zombie princess
Interestingly enough the talk of Hope and Sabrina actually lead to some of the interesting ideas around characters and their supporting cast. I feel Sabrina and Hope really fit into that supporting cast territory. I'd say they would work great as friend for Star, Marco and any of the other relevant secondary characters, but nothing more than that.
Alright then. Thanks for the advice! I'll be sure to make the idea work and stick to it.
Yeah, I looked at other fanfics for ideas. There are quite a few of them that I absolutely love and look to them for examples on how to capture the feel that I want while maintaining the idea.
Marco Diaz, far descendant of Porfirio Diaz. The Porfiriato will return.
Well, thanks for the advice, all. I'm gonna head off now, it's pretty late over here. I'll be sure to finish this up and post it in the general tomorrow. It'll be a post probably starting with "Hey, i'm the guy who asked about names and content creators yesterday, this is my story" or something like that. I'd like it if you all read it and gave me feedback.
Again, thanks for the tips and advice. I love you all, /sveg/.
Yeah, don't be afraid to make use of character frameworks from other stories. Considering Marco and Star are going to be based on what we've seen in the show, the secondary characters have more variety in what they could be like. So search around and find an interpretation you like and go from there. There's a great Manna story that has Street Lights in the name or somerthing like that which has an amazing interpretation of her character. Jackie stories are harder to find, but some solid interpretations of her potential as a character do exist.
But hey, do your own thing first and foremost.
Till then anon, sweet dreams.
It does the heart good to see a thread go out with my favorite picture of my favorite couple
Ha! I wish, I'm nowhere near that good.
Here is the fic that anon mentioned:
It's often regarded as the ultimate Manna fanfic.
My personal favorite will always be "Jelly Janna", someday part 2 will happen... I know it will...
I was just kidding! besides its the weekend of Mope, even if it's lacking in Mope as of now.
>Hope is in her room trying to read a manga
>Has to wear earplugs because her folks are arguing downstairs
>Phone rings, It's Janna
>"Hey Hope want to go try raise the dead?"
>Hope sighed in frustration
>"For the last time, Janna no. And stop trying to do spells from Star's book that thing is probably the necronomicon"
>"But I'm so close...so what if there's been mishaps in the past? Not lIke your blindness was permanent and Sabrinas hair grew back eventually "
>Hope was about to retort but was stopped by the sounds of her mom yelling.
>"What was that?" Janna asked.
>"My mom, she's arguing with my dad over financial responsibility"
>"Oh I didn't know your family was having money problems, I'm sorry to hear" Janna replied
>"Oh were not, financial responsibility is a board game. I think my dad is winning and mom thinks he's cheating"
>Janna laughed much to Hopes disapproval
>"Still better then the Candyland fiasco of 2013" Hope mumbled.
>"C'mon let's go hang out, magic or no magic" Janna added
>Hope considered it but her train of thought was interrupted by her parents
>WILL YOU TWO JUST PLAY SOMETHING ELSE ALREADY!" Hope shouted from her rooom.
>"You know what yeah I'm in whatever. Meet you at your place before my folks stab each other with Jenga blocks" Hope told Janna as she got her things together.
>"Sweet, knew I could count on you Hope"
>Hope ended the call.
>Hope was happy to get out of the house, and knowing Janna she probably will have to keep her from destroying the town with her wannabe magic spells...again.
May continue this tomorrow idk yet.
Hey that was me. And this thread needs more starco
Yeah I usually play her parental problems for laughs. Like yeah it sucks but Hope is OK she can deal with it and quite frankly is more annoyed by their petty fights then she is afraid for them. Just because it's bad doesn't mean it had to be sad.
Good thing I specialize in cute and comfy.
Should be "try to raise the dead" forgot the "to" my bad I was typing from my tablet...I really should not be doing that for greens but whatever.
>tfw you wil never have Star's feet rubbing your benis to sweet climax
Yes but it doesnt really matter since theyre all the same anyways. She would treasure it deeply and use it to decorate her secret marco shrine.
Marco probably has a neurotic obsession with at least one of them
Like the one that he hasn't washed since a strand of Jackie Lynn Thomas's hair got stuck on it 2 years ago
That was really cute! I hope you continue to write stuff about the show in the future, anon.
Goodnight you two! see you later!
Oppai here, I'm off to bed now. Before I go, I made the steam group public so anyone is free to join without invite. If you see someone is spamming, just send me a message and I'll deal with it when I get up. Night!
Good night everybody! (Funny, to say that: where I live it's noon).
I like the sudden influx of new posters, writers and artists in /sveg/: it makes me feel less bad for being so useless, lately!
Personal bullshit follows:
I'm not better, and probably lurking and feeling sorry was never the ideal solution to it. Despite how pathetic that sounds, I have to admit that /sveg/ is the main surrogate of social interaction that I have, and isolating myself further won't cure my solitude.
So yeah: I think I'm open to write some green, if anyone has any requests. I'll try my best.
Another diary style greentext, this time from Marco's viewpoint, about Star misinterpreting basic Earth's stuff during her first weeks on Earth? You said that writing in first person is actually more exhausting, though...
FC! I missed you last thread.
Sad to learn you are still feeling down, I can only hope you get better soon, but dont think too much about it.
When one is down, one is down, not much to do about it and is better not try to force a state of mind.
But if it helps, I am happy to see you!
>But if it helps, I am happy to see you!
It helps, believe me.
Forcing my state of mind is what actually intend to do today — because yesterday I felt terrible, and I have to combat that in some way: the only alternative not to sink, is try to kick and swim. …I think.
Am I the only one who thought that when Hope talked about her folks fighting, it was an allusion to them 'fighting', as in having sex?
>No honey, your mom and I were just having se-
>HE MEANS WE WERE WRESTLING. WRESTLING!
I really prefer the idea of Hope being incredibly oblivious but loving her parents, thus asking Janna her question, her father very blunt, and her mother very embarrassed about things. Seems to be a step above the sad edgy 'My parents hate each other' thing.
I want some happiness, man.
For Marco and the girl of your choice.
Filthy Tomco degenerates begone. Unless Tom is a girl. And drunk. And jealously obsessed with Marco. And trying to make Star jealous.
It works, but in the opposite way, and she dislikes her even more.
>Has their picture stuck to her mirror when there isn't even a picture of Pony head and/or her parents in her room
>Cares a lot about what Marco thinks of her
>Willingly gave up the wand for Marco
>Cried when Marco got captured by the St. O gurads
Yeah right. Season two can't come soon enough
She does have a framed picture of Pony Head on her side of the bathroom.
And it'd be honestly seem pretty assholish of Star to have one of those scenes with her weighing her options and seriously considering NOT giving up the wand to just let Marco be crushed.
Marco and Tom become best male buddies (NO TOMCO pure frienship)
Star get jealous and angry because now she see is ex that she deslike and is best friend always happy together.
Damn that something i want to see in season 2
>Willingly gave up the wand for Marco
So she would let any close one that she doesnt also want to bang die just to not give the wand up?
I never liked that kind of stuff used as romantic interest proof. it makes it seems a friend is not someone worth sacrificing something unless you have romantic feelings for them, not a fan!
Agreed, but I read it in a sort of mathematical way. 2 alone is 2, which is sacrificing her wand, but combined with eight, eighteen, and four, it's thirty-two. That is to say that for a friend Star would indeed sacrifice her wand, but combined with all those other things it implies that this means more.
Which isn't to say that these all add up to Starco. It means, to me, that their relationship would be more precious than just friendship. Does that make sense?
>She is not the first exchange students my family and I have over, but things sure are tricky, when dealing with Star Butterfly: she’s a walking and talking safety hazard, but I think that with some luck, I’ll eventually be able to keep her under control.
>…And in case I am WRONG, and I end up blasted away by some cute magical abomination, I want Alfonzo to have my hoodies (so he finally can wear something COOL), I leave my videogame collection to Ferguson (with the awareness that I left this world UNBEATEN — take THAT, Ferg!), and my laptop to whomever will delete my browser’s history the fastest.
>With that out of the way — hooooly crap!
>On one hand, Star is sorta fun to have around, but MAN is she exhausting!
>For starters, as an outsider to Earth’s dimension altogether, she has to be taught practically everything. Just in the span of this first day of cohabitation, I’ve had to explain to her the function and use of most house appliances, including (but not limited to):
> light switches;
> the fridge;
> the toaster;
> the fridge again (food doesn’t magically appear in there);
> the TV;
> the TV remote;
> window shutters;
> the fridge (the TV remote does not change what’s inside the fridge);
> the phone (when she first heard it ringing, she almost destroyed it via “Narwhal Blast”);
> table lamps;
> the microwave oven;
> the fridge (it does not contain a portal to the wendigo dimension).
>To make things worse, my explanations were frequently interrupted by the noisy and constantly demanding litter of laser-puppies — which now are our new house pets, I guess
>Tomorrow I’ll see if we can take them to the vet, to have them checked up, vaccinated, and hopefully see if there is a medical procedure to have them stop shooting lasers at all about!
>Back to Star, I found that she’s not as oblivious as I feared: for example, she completely understands how clocks work, both mechanical and digital. That sure surprised me!
>…But now that I think about it, while getting ready for the night, she’s been spending an inordinate amount of time inside the bathroom — and I can overhear the sound of flushing, over and over.
>Should I have explained to Star what the toilet is for? Maybe I should go there and ch—
Wow... you guys really don't want or see Starco happening. Well, shit. Friendship is great and all, but if you honestly see any of their current interests really being perfect for each other, ya'll must have not have had the high school experience. Crushes, kisses, etc. At the end of the day, best person you can end up with is the person you are spending most of your time and having fun with... Better to marry your best friend, because if you don't, chances are great that you will grow apart and dostant, and all you will have are memories of great times you used to have-
instead of the lifetime of memories you could have been making... I have 2 friends who are like that, they've been engaged for years already and aren't rushing it. Daron and her 3D Marco are the same. I know these things because I yearn for a bestie like that to share my life with.
We did learn some things, like his regenerative abilities and the fact that he wanted to destroy the wand, we just don't have the big picture of who he is or what he wants yet. I appreciate that. It shows that he's smart enough not to give his plans away, and it means there's a lot left over to be addressed.
He is her best friend, she's just blinded by Oskar to see anything else in him, same can be said for Jackie to Marco.
You're right, Season two can't come fast enough. I can feel my sanity diminishing.
>Wow... you guys really don't want or see Starco happening.
Da heck? Of course I do. I was saying that everything Star does for/with Marco makes their relationship greater than friendship, which isn't something that could be accurately or reliably described in 'Starco' or 'love', which are words that have different meanings and ends for different people, though love would be the closest, most succinct way to describe it. Calm yourself, good buddy.
And there it is! my dose of Folly-Green before bed!
Very in-character and funny! thanks a lot for wriiting it!
I was just commenting about how I dont like that kind of stuff used as romantic evidence because it has unfortunate side implications.
About Starco, I like them a lot as friends, mainly because their friendship is SO RARE, its not common to see two main characters be friends that actually trust each other and talk about stuff to solve problems instead of usual couple drama. they help each other and are each other wingmen.
Starco friendship is such a rare jewel in this media I would be sad to see it turn into a common romance.
Anyway I will get some sleep, I will see you later, /sveg/! Remember to post Mope!
I am calm, just seem to see a lot of people say "I prefer to see them stay as friends" because they're afraid it will change the dynamic. Even my mother once told me that when you pursue a relationship, and it doesn't work out, it could ruin the friendship forever. I find that- unsettling that many people have this mentality. The way i see it is that if anything like that ever happens, chances are, something really wasn't strong in that relationship to begin with- even AS a friendship, however, as far as romance goes in starco, it's still kinda hard to believe through all the shit they've gone through, in storm the castle, that ending hug, should have had been a kiss. Reason why it wasn't: They don't see each other in that light because they can't, they're teenagers. Love is still brand new to them. Despite, Marco being infatuated for years and Star already having an ex boyfriend
And- I kinda contradicted myself when i said it was hard to believe, then gave an explanation lol
My point being- starco seems to be a great friendship dynamic, and very cute, not saying it should happen midshow, but if it doesn't happen, well, there gonna have to really make it believable by making Jackie and Oskar really GOOD in terms of character, because all i've seen is Star and Marco having a good time, having each others backs, and taking care of one another... that ain't just friendship, that's love, baby.
People can trace me been Starco way before I realized myself, so believe me when I say: most of what I saw on the series does not suggest me anything more than friendship going on. You say:
> Star and Marco having a good time, having each others backs, and taking care of one another
is NOT friendship, but I respectfully disagree. None of those things impies or requires deep feelings of attraction.
What DOES make me feel like they could be more than just friends, even though they don't realize it themselves, are totally different things — smaller in scope, but suggestive enough. Small gestures, behaviours, the way they address each other, and stuff.
But it's all so subtle I could be (and most probably am) deluding myself.
Starco may or may not be endgame — and I think the first season was not explicit enough not to leave room for doubts.
Besides, what's wrong with loving your best friend in terms of "This is my soul mate, this is the one for me and i am the one for them", It's like everyone has some reservation of their own as to why best friends can't be together.
But then, "love" and "friendship" aren't mutually exclusive: don't you love your friends?
By the same token, I actually support you if you say that a loving relationship does not mark the end of a friendship.
Just please, don't take any piece of this discussion as personal, though: I don't think that even the people who are the most critical about Marco and Star's level of affection don't fight back that possibility so much.
Remember that most of the series' appeal come from its main characters: we're all here because we like Star and Marco. And in spite of me preferring them to get together in the end, even if they remained just friends, that wouldn't be a bad ending, to me.
What's important, is that they are allowed to go on with their relation the way they like — no "Star has to leave Earth forever" ending, PLEASE!
Double negative alert, I was supposed to write:
>I don't think that even the people who are the most critical about Marco and Star's level of affection fight back that possibility so much.
>What DOES make me feel like they could be more than just friends, even though they don't realize it themselves, are totally different things — smaller in scope, but suggestive enough. Small gestures, behaviours, the way they address each other, and stuff.
I completely agree, and I'd like to see them becoming a couple mostly because in my little own head I want to believe this two being best friends forever after, even after the end of the show. Not "I'm going to have my family, you are going to have your family, we'll try to keep in touch".
This show has such a good way to portray friendship that I NEED it to get to the next level.
>"Star has to leave Earth forever" ending
That would be such a giant pile of bull poop. You have dimensional scissors, you can dimension hop in each others house in five seconds! The only way to 'justify' such a shitty ending would be something like "Oh no we broke all the magic in the universe". And that would be rubbish.
Is Star a nuclear fission reactor?!
The "Star has to leave" hypothesis was based on the fact that her staying on Earth is supposed to be temporary, and her being a princess kinda implies that one day she'll have to return to Mewni, and get ready to succeed as a queen: by that point, no more time for frolicking and adventuring!
While I would appreciate it as a parallel to the passage to adulthood, I think it would really suck. But that's only on a personal preference level.
>Star becomes queen, declares democracy allowing monsters to frolic again with mewmen, she packs up a goes back to Earth. Bam, problem solved.
Obviously I expect a "Star goes back to Mewni episode", I just wish for it not being the last one. Maybe the intro to the final arc of the show, but not the final-final one. That'd be really sad, I already got my share of bitter endings from my chinese cartoons thank you very much.
>Star becomes queen, declares democracy allowing monsters to frolic again with mewmen, she packs up a goes back to Earth. Bam, problem solved.
Monarchies suck, anyway.
Oh, don't worry about "You are pedos"Anon: he/she posted on our general for months, and I think of him/her as just another part of /sveg/.
You know, for a brief while I entertained the fantasy that
YAPanon e IWNIHAanon were the same person, and there was sort of a Jeckill/Hide thing going on.
…The same way I once suspected that FV might have been my own Tyler Durden!
…Can you imagine?!
So now we got headcanons for /sveg/'s characters? Man, the hiatus is really hitting us hard...
Hello to you as well!
Well, we got characters, headcanons and memes exclusively to /sveg/. When will the shipping begin?
It may have already started.
I'll leave it at that.
>Marco x Tom - Mom
ROFLMAO. I don't even know why I found it so funny!
Anyway, Marco×Tom is commonly referred as Tomco. I fully support the idea of referring to an eventual
unholyJanna×Tom as Jam.
I refuse to acknowledge any ship containing Toffe, though!
You are forgiven, bro: I feel nothing but complete solidarity, with those who go to extremes in order to make puns.
It's my jam!
They don't have marital issues, they're both just hyper competitive. At least, I doubt they'd be playing board games together if they actually hated each other.
Love the concept, please continue!
Oh dear, I'm late.
I wanna nut in her ass.
>‘Oh, hey, Marco!’ Hope greeted, while keeping her voice low.
>The boy in the red hoodie momentarily diverted his eyes from the textbook.
>‘Hi, Hope!’ he replied, participating to a quick exchange of smiles with the unexpected arrival.
>The merry girl took the liberty of laying her books on the same table as Marco, and then took a seat in front of him.
>‘…Preparing for tomorrow’s test?’ she rhetorically asked, as a way to have some smalltalk.
>Marco couldn’t help but to smile sarcastically.
>‘It’s getting harder and harder, for me to study at home: laser-puppies, heart monkeys, that creepy clown… To have some quiet, my only real choice, was to escape here at the library!’
>Hope disclosed her book, then began flipping its pages in search of the right chapter.
>‘Well, Diaz: it’s not like you have bad degrees, anyway…’
>‘Actually, they’re kinda getting worse and worse” Marco sighed; “There’s only so much interdimensional shenanigans and bouts with monsters that one can do, before it starts eating away at their time for doing homework…’
>‘I see…’ concluded the cutesy brunette, before dropping the chitchat in favor of studying.
>The way Hope saw it, Marco was the most interesting individual in her class — even more than Star: because, if the princess of Mewni was clearly an easy-going, hyper-energetic, and expansive girl, Marco Ubaldo Diaz kind of lived between two extremes.
>Sure, he shared most of his free time with Star, getting involved in all sorts of funny and/or adventurous escapades — which Hope was sort of envious about, actually. But concurrently, Marco was the same ‘safe kid’ as ever before.
>So, he was some kind of enigma — one that sure fascinated Hope’s best friend, Janna.
>Grinning, Hope thought to herself:
>‘So, Janna: have you refused to come study with me, eh? Well, YOUR LOSS, boo!’
>At the end of the studying session, Hope and Marco walked together to the respective homes.
>“Thank you for accompanying me, Marco” Hope said, with her customary wide smile; “…And don’t think that I’m unaware of the fact that you’re taking a HUGE detour, in order to escort me home safely!”
>The boy humbly smiled back.
>“No problem, Hope: in fact, I really needed a walk, after all that intellectual strain!”
>There wasn’t much that the two of them could talk to each other about: in spite of herself, Hope ended up gossiping a lot about about Janna — and also, about Jackie Lynn Thomas…
>“…Excuse me if I ask” said Hope, at some point of the discussion; “but I noticed that you seem to have some problem, when dealing with Jackie: is there any problem between you and her?”
>“Wha- whaaaat?!” uttered the boy, while his face instantly assumed the color of his hoodie: “There’s n- nothing at all, no problem at all! We’re j- just friend ’tis all! …Ah, actually, we’re more like …cordial acquaintances, I guess!”
>Yep: more than a ‘normal’ acquaintance, less than a friendship. It was clear that the state of Marco’s relation with Jackie was in and of itself a cause for a little disappointment, for him.
>“You know,” Hope distractingly insinuated: “Jackie and I ARE good friends.”
>“Yees, I know…?” Marco replied, uncertain.
>“…Sooo, if there was ANYTHING about her, you wanted to know…” If Hope had an old habit which had NO intention of dying yet, was to indulge in matchmaking.
>Marco appeared clearly conflicted: on one hand, he had no intention of openly admitting he was all over the blond skater-girl. …But on the OTHER hand, he couldn’t deny the unique opportunity of gathering precious info about his dream girl.
>“…S- something like… w- what?” he asked, clumsily failing his attempt at acting aloof.
>Hope’s smile widened.
>“I am sorry”, she said: “but it looks like we have no more time for that. There: that’s where I live!”
>Then, Hope minced up to the entrance of her apartment building; as she turned back towards Marco, the girl took a glimpse at his disappointed face, before saying:
>“…But, if you’re OK with that, we can get back on the subject, some other time! See you tomorrow, Marco!”
>The boy sighed.
>Hope nonchalantly walked inside the building — but as soon as she closed the main door behind her, she leaned back, and gasped.
>With widened eyes, she asked to herself:
>‘Oh, heck: WHAT WAS THAT, Hope?! …Did …did you just use Marco’s interest for your friend as an excuse for you to approach him? …Yeah, HIM: that SAME GUY your OTHER friend Janna has the hots for?! …What! The! Heck! is passing through my darned mind?!’
>Distractingly, she brought out her makeup kit: from the pocket mirror, a flustered face stared back at her.
>“…And why the funk am I blushing, right NOW?!” she asked, to nobody in particular.
Well, from what I gather, she hasn't jumped ship, really. It's more like an effort to get more variety in our production, I think.
The weekend of Sabco was kind of a disappointment, and apparently now we are on the weekend of Mope.
I'm glad you liked it. I mainly keep her consistant to my own version, but I'd lie if I said that I never let something from other versions of her to rub off on mine — if anything, just on the general idea of her.
Combining ideas is usually good, it helps in deciding what traits we can establish as her overall fan made character that helps other potential writers to use when writing their own version.
LOL! Even though it's not explicitly in continuity with "Dueling Stars", I wanted to keep that specific trait of Hope.
Also, yeah, I guess I've left this green a lot open-ended, haven't I.
Say what: I'll try to think of something…
Well you did a great job with such a simple premise, your Hope is a real qt. Though she appears to be in the lose lose scenario of being caught right in the middle of young crushes. That almost always leads to disappointment and hurt feelings for people involved. But I could see Marco getting on with characters like Hope and Sabrina as he's seemingly upfront about most things. That why him and Star have such a great dynamic at least, they're both so open about what's on their mind.
>she appears to be in the lose lose scenario
Yeaaah, I kinda feel bad about it, because in spite of it all, it doesn't look like an actual "Mope", but more like a slight diversion of the story, with a little more focus on Hope.
Darn: in general, I am bad at straight-up romances!
I'm very glad that you find "my" Hope to be cute! And you're right: Star and Marco being so open, and wearing their hearts up their sleeves is part of why I like their interactions too.
WORK ON CHAPTER 4 BEGINS NOW!
no preview this time, but expect lots of Hope
with a hint of Mope!
>We know return to the Diaz' garden, home of the Interdiemensional Ship-Solving League!
>Tonight we have a heated fight between two ex-best friends
>Innnnn the blue corner, "Shineeeeer" Hope!
>Aaaaand in the red corner, Gyyypsy Jannaaa!
>We have our roaming reporter Jackie down by the ring, Jackie can you tell us what this bout is over?
>Yeah, I'm down by the ring here Sabrina, where the fighters have been slagging each other off for some time
>Now, this fight is over the dashing young Marco Diaz, strapped to a chair over there complaining that no one needs to fight
>Well, the stools have been moved, the judge is preparing himself...
>Back to you in the booth, Sabrina
>Right then, which one of these two will win the right to go after Marco?
>Are you ready?!
>I can't heeaar you!
[crowd screams louder]
>Leeet's get readyyy to ruuumble!
>Janna gets in there quick, but misses her first punch
>Hope seems to be fighting dirty, that was a BRUTAL backhand!
>Janna is reeling!
>Hope goes for an eyepoke!
>No, they've seperated...they're circling...
>Can someone get Marco to stop screaming stop?
>Oh, hang on...oh, that looks like a portal
>Yeah, there's Queen Butterfly
>She's shouting at King Butterfly for endorsing this...oh, and now she's shouting at Star for organising it
>Looks like Marco's giving a speech on why they shouldn't fight about it
>He's talked his way into a corner...now Hope and Janna are clinging to his arms...
>I feel like the Duke of Detroit in that one episode of Motor-wait!
>Oh boy, this just turned from a fight to a porno shoot!
>Mrs Diaz finds Marcos condoms
>pokes holes in them hoping to get magical royal grandkids
>Janna gets pregnant
And this is why you should not poke holes in you kids condoms, or else you could possibly get gypsy grandkids
Brought to you by the national safe kid society
Well this is a point I've brought up a number of times in regards to the whole Mope, Sabco thing in that their place as background characters who aren't really involved with the main cast makes any form of actual shipping hard; given the impact it would have on the actual secondary cast
or at least the threads interpretations of them.
That's why I see Mope and Sabcro really only working as a friendship thing, the default option of Starco or Manna just works a bit better given what we know from the show and how we've built up Janna. There's every chance that Janna turns out completely different to what we imagined, and then it's clear sailing to port Starco.
I suppose I should have included that too. I excluded it in part due to a lack of connection between Hope and Sabrina with Jackie, but perhaps that could change as we learn more in season 2. It just feels quite unlikely to ever amount to much given the circumstances surrounding it. But maybe that's just the cynic in me speaking, Star vs. has moved away from a number of common tropes for the better; perhaps the boy will actually get the girl he's been after.
I'm not sure the fans would be too hot on that though sadly.
I know you know the story. About how the more vocal Jarco fans made it seem like an /r9k/ tier ship and turned everyone against it.
Also you have to consider that Jackie is a flat character once you get past her big meaty thighs. Star and Marco are cute and perfect, Janna is flirty and mischievous, hell even Sabrina has a dynamic that cries or for a safe kid. Jackie's just eye candy.
Eh, there's justifications for the ship just as much as things like Janna and certainly more than things like Mope and Sabco. The simple fact of the matter is that most of the characters are flat at this point, outside of the main cast.
Whilst the first season setup Marco, Star and their relationship incredibly well; it did it at the expense of developing secondary and background characters. That's been the most notable desire heading into season 2, and was commented on by the creator by making mention of Janna and Tom development planned.
Didn't say it wasn't justified, just saying why it hasn't captured the interest of the fans here.
Strictly canon-wise Jarco and Oskstar are the hardest canon at present. Doesn't mean people are gonna ship it.
"Moon of Lovers" dance and eternal soul-bonding is pretty heavy shit for 2 characters who so far consider themselves just friends, and I'm not even a shipper.
Compare to Marco just moving up to saying hi to Jackie and sitting next to her once, and Star and Oskar sharing one brief phone conversation.
haha Hope is precious
Nice story with some potential juicy romantic drama, I like it.
On a side but slightly related note, it would be pretty neat to see in-show impressions of Marco. He doesn't seem to be hated, but doesn't seem to be sought after either.(for better or worse)
Talking right now. Starco is canon-likely, Jarco is one sided canon-established and at least canon-plausible on Jackie's side. Until something becomes hard canon is all speculation no matter how likely.
Season 2 delivers on the Quinceanera episode but its Janna's. Finally revealing her actual ethnicity, and whether or not she is Marco's cousin or whatever.
I dunno, seems like it would be cute.
I honestly don't think Janna's into Marco as much as she just likes fucking with him. I mean, I doubt she'd turn down a shot at the Diaz, but it's more about making the safe kid flinch.
shipping aside, what do you guys think the next seasons plots will be like? things got pretty creative in the last 12 episodes location and concept wise'
i hope it will take a rick and morty approach and just randomly go to fun intensely imaginative places
In my stories, I always censor swearwords — in a way to mimic the actual series.
To me, the in-series Marco is kind of socially clumsy: he is clearly no pariah, but at the same time, he's probably more introverted than not.
The small clique he formed with Ferguson and Alfonzo probably kept him from having a wider number of closer friends, in school — and if I had to guess, he probably always thought of the exchange students his family hosted as his temporary besties anyway.
So, if I had to guess, his classmates think of Marco as an OK guy, maybe veering on the side of dorky, with the main lasting impression of him being the "safe kid" — which can either being seen as a quality, or a embarrassing flaw.
In my opinion, for the most part Marco is considered just …there.
I finally watched a few episodes of this last night, and I'm really surprised at how good it is. Star is adorable, Toffee is a neat villain, Marco is competent which is nice.
I hope they don't fuck it up.
Dacula talk it is then.
How do you kill Dacula?
Any way you fucking want. It's fiction, literally anything is up for grabs.
Trying to apply biology to a show about magical a magical princess from another dimension isn't just autism, it's complete and utter willful retardation.
I mean, how does that become the line where your suspension of disbelief calls or quits?
Well that's the big question about Janna really. She's shown both instances of what you described, what matters now is the intent behind them. Realistically it could be both, little crushes like that are common, and pranking someone is commonly a cry for attention.
I don't buy into the idea that she is as infatuated with him as Marco is to Jackie, or that she's got some long past as childhood friends. But the notion that she tries to interact with him in her own weird way is really cute in my mind and a crush would make sense.
>“WHAAAT?!” exclaimed Marco, absolutely devastated.
>Hope nodded gravely.
>“Summer of ’09. Jackie had gone on a short vacation with her family at Recentport Beach: there, she met CHARLIE — one year older than her, long brown hair, quite tall for his age.”
>Marco was pale as a ghost.
>“…A- and …and they KISSED?!”
>Hope nodded again.
>“Three times” she somberly explained: “Though, Jackie told me that the first time was kind of an accident.”
>Visibly upset, Marco adjusted on his seat.
>“I- I can’t believe this…!”
>Then, the boy let his head drop forward.
>‘Cordial acquaintances, huh?’ Hope commented to herself, while taking a load of the heartbroken boy in front of her.
>Then, Star Butterfly swaggered up to the two teens’ table — carrying the bigger cup of ice-cream anyone there had ever seen.
>“C’mon, Marco: scoot over!” she commanded, before laying the massive dessert on the table, and unceremoniously poke her ‘bestie’ with her hip.
>After settling up, the extra-dimensional exchange student finally caught on that something was wrong with the boy.
>“Hey, boo: why are you in the dumpsies, all of a sudden? Is there anything wrong?”
>“Jackie had her first kiss, already!”
>Star jumped at the revelation.
>“Uuh! Was he someone I know!?” she asked, excited.
>Hope shook her head, with half a smile:
>“No, and also it happened when she was SEVEN! …And it was no big deal: the two of them had barely any contact, since then!”
>Star promptly joined Hope’s efforts to comfort Marco.
>“There there, buddy” she said, while patting his head: “Listen to Hope: it’s no biggie, really! In fact, Jackie is a very popular girl: so you should actually be THANKFUL, that she didn’t have any OTHER boyfriends, in the meantime!”
>Unobserved by Marco, Hope frowned; then, she surreptitiously signaled towards Star, miming and mouthing the number: ‘two’.
>“…Aaaaanyhoo,” Star tried to recover; “if it can be of consolation, you can have a couple spoonfuls of my ice-cream.”
>Once more Marco sighed, before lifting his head — and catching the concerning view of Star’s gargantuan treat.
>“What is THAT THING, Star?” he asked, suddenly concerned.
>“Yeah, funny thing,” the girl began to reply — introducing an explanation that Marco could already SWEAR would’ve NOT been funny in the least: “apparently, this business also sells ‘Royal-sized’ ice-cream cups. …And …YOU KNOW: I am a ROYAL! So, no way, I could settle for anything less!”
>Marco looked at her, frowning with disapproval.
>“Are you seriously intentioned to eat all of that ice-cream by yourself?”
>“Of course not, Marco!” she said, handing a plastic spork to him; “…Like I just said: two spoonfuls are FOR YOU!”
>Fifteen minutes later, from inside the stall, disgusting noises of someone hurling echoed loudly across the ladies restroom.
>From outside the door, Hope asked:
>“Star, do you need me to hold your hair back?”
>Among the gargles and moans, Hope could decipher the words ‘no’ and ‘magic’ as a reply.
>The girl stood by the stall for a few more minutes; then, she once more asked if her help was needed, before walking away — slightly nauseous.
>“…It’s my fault” said Marco, who had been waiting right outside: “I should’ve stopped Star way earlier than that!”
>Hope smiled with sympathy.
>“Can’t say you didn’t at least TRY!”
>The two of them tittered.
>After a few moments of awkward silence, Hope spoke:
>“By the way, Marco: I’m sorry for giving you all those bad news, earlier. Maybe it would’ve been better for you not to know…”
>Marco gestured dismissively.
>“You did nothing wrong, Hope: I made the questions — and really, I should thank YOU, for your honest answers.”
>“You are very welcome, Marco Diaz” Hope replied, smiling. It had been kinda cute, seeing Marco so flustered about how Jackie had her first, innocent kiss at the tender age of seven.
>In fact Marco had b—…
>…Oh, HECK: Hope caught herself in the act of contemplating how cute Marco was.
>‘Frackfrackfrack!’ Hope thought; ‘He’s Janna’s dream boy: he IS absolutely off-limits, goshdarn it!’
>And yet, there they were, having a date!
>…Well, not a REAL date, since Star had also come along.
>But Hope couldn’t deny that, deep down, she kinda had been thinking of it as such — enough to keep it a secret from her BFF Janna herself.
>“Are you OK?” asked Marco, because the girl was looking somewhat troubled.
>“Huh?” uttered Hope, snapping out of her thoughts: “Oh, nothing, Marco. I… I am just…”
>Unable to complete the sentence, she drastically changed subject:
>“You know: it’s probably better if I go back inside and check on Star!”
>Then, before Marco could react, the brunette hastily entered the restroom — once more leaving the puzzled boy alone.
I think he'd leave more of an impression on people, but not an overly strong one considering they likely haven't seen the side of him that Star brings out. That's one of the big draws of the show to me, in that it's showing characters not only develop, but gradually indoctrinate those changes as their new norm.
Speaking from past experiences with people similar to Marco, that being: smart, orderly, low-risk takers who try their best to help people out. They are usually held in good regards with most people they interact with, but they're an acquaintance, someone who if you were asked about you'd say 'Yeah, real nice guy that x' and not much more.
Considering he seems fine with his social standing, being buds with Alfonso and Ferguson, that's a pretty good place for a character to be as it leaves a good deal of room for development. If he moves past his spaghetti ways I'm sure he'd be pretty popular, and Star's the perfect role model in that regard.
I certainly hope so, there's a balance to be had with random adventures into more serious episodes. Don't think many shows if any have found that balance, so I'm not sure we'll find it here. However, given the nature of the show I think it should be fine having the adventure of the day one episode and something more complex the next.
What I'd like to see is a more consistent mix of earth adventures to inter dimensional ones. That would allow for character development and the exploration of the cool magical setting of the show. So more episodes that mix the two of those concepts, such as IDFT, would be amazing.
What's really noticeable (to me) about IDFT is that it was, for most of Marco's friends (apart from Al and Ferg) their first foray in what is normal for Star and Marco. And ooooh boy, were they NOT prepared for that!
Apart from Ms Skullnick, of course: she could actually fare even better than the two main characters — at least on the subject of fighting monsters and taking names.
I would like for more side characters actively sharing some adventures with Star and Marco, in S2.
I don't really have any definite guesses yet beyond obvious stuff like problems with Star's wand, return of the major villains, and the appearance of the "spades" character (waiting for some sort of promo before I really go crazy with speculation). Actually if Toffee is really just fucking dead and we went back to more one-off monster fights I'd be pissed, but even the crew has made it obvious that plotline's not over yet.
But it might be fun to see how the typical dynamic of the show has changed, with Buff Frog being confirmed as a recurring character and likely ally, and Ludo probably still hanging around but with no power, resources, or dignity. And just more Star/Marco interactions with the side characters in general.
I think the show is going to get more serious and develop more lore, but, like the first season, doing it in a pretty low-key way that builds up to something bigger by the end. My hopes are pretty high for it being better than 1.
No, don't do this too me Folly. Don't make me like Hope this much
too late, damn you write her just too darn cute. You're too good at this I swear.
Not seen him for a while, imagine he's engrossed in actual airing anime.
Yeah that stuck out to me as well. What I found amusing was how much worse they fared in the face of it all in comparison to Marco who just rolls with it for the most part. One interesting thing about the episode is that whilst it was the first real forrey into Star's magical adventure with the class, it didn't involve the dynamic duo at all until the end. That's going to be the big one for me, I'd love to see how secondary characters react a full blown adventure with the dynamic duo leading.
and as always, thoughts and opinions are accepted and appreciated!
>Tom starts this to get Star jealous
>Quickly realizes what he got himself into
>Has to beg Star and Marco to save him from her
>Janna doesn't mind. She stole copy of Necronomicon when he wasn't looking.
I thought the one-sided ludo/toffee thing they had going on for a few episodes was a funny dynamic
Marco's dealing with Shocker!
Hello, it was me who wrote those One Punch Marco greens. Since the new year my "inspiration drive" has suffered. So much so that I've barely been able to write Blar & Blarco stuff, even less OPMarco.
I don't know if it's my mood, the insane current heat wave in my country, or that I've been procrastinating shamelessly, but there should be at least 3 more OPMarco stories coming. Unfortunately, I doubt I'll deliver this week-end. Hopefully, there should be one for next week.
Btw, I wanted to write something Blar & Blarco related this week-end, but the temperature is hitting us hard right now.
I know there're some places hotter than 37°C, but we're not used to this heat.If someone could give me a prompt I could give it a shot, and maybe I could continue writing more today. But it's so hot here... Seeing other anons writing so good, even when depressed, make me think I may be complaining too much. I apologize in advance. Oh, and the older OPMarco stories... I guess I could try and upload them to a paste bin.
I used to think that Toffee was the "Marco" for Queen Butterfly but now I think he was connected to Miss Heinous instead. She has the club marks on her cheeks which seems to denote Mewni royal lineage, but she wants to hide it. She's all strict and endorses proper behavior but why? Did she irresponsibly use the the wand and it ended up hurting her "Marco" (Toffee)?
Along those lines... Why does she hide the club marks? Does she feel guilty about the Great Monster Massacre because of Toffee? Were Toffee and Miss Heinous present for the event?
>If someone could give me a prompt I could give it a shot
We still haven't seen anything with Blackie (Jackie). Why not do something with her and Blarco?
As well as a jealous Blar.
Maybe Heinous was actually the queen responsible for the Massacre, being clearly older than Star's parents? But then, feeling guilt about having done that but knowingly running a brainwashing academy doesn't seem to jive. Then again, she does attempt to keep herself brainwashed too.
I like that theory better than Toffee being connected to Moon, if only because we really don't need some retread of a Lily/Snape situation, where Toffee's bitter about not being Star's reptile daddy.
It's an interesting idea, I thought much the same situation but with Queen Butterfly instead; resulting in her strict attitude towards Star. However I think trying to tie Toffee and Miss Heinous together is a bit too far of a stretch. They work as the two, more sinister villains for their separate backgrounds and reasons. I think having a few strong villains that are independent is worth more than having a handful that are closely connected.
also, Next chapter and the chapter after will be released next weekend!
please look forward to it!
...aaaaand inspiration struck me once again. Thanks H-bro.
Haha, the image is from long time ago, to advertise OPM's one shot before its run as a manga. I used it because it includes a blonde girl suitable for Star, but she's not a character from OPM. She had her own one shot drawn by the same artist, but OPM was more popular and it was greenlit for Weekly Shonen Jump. That's what the legend says, and I'm not aware about the fate of the girl's story.
When I began reading OPM, I also thought this girl would be featured, but then I learned the true story about this picture. Sorry if it was misleading.
>I like that theory better than Toffee being connected to Moon, if only because we really don't need some retread of a Lily/Snape situation, where Toffee's bitter about not being Star's reptile daddy.
We had an alternative reasons in a previous thread. It was basically that Moon has been sent to St. Olga's. Her "Marco" (whatever woudl that mean, he could be secret friend, lover or maybe even loyal servant) who was a monster, tried to rescue her but screwed up and got caught. And Ms. Heinous did some horrible things to him, worse than brainwashing she tried to subject Marco to (I mean she thought Marco was a princess - what would she do if she realized he is a boy?). He lived but was changed forever, twisted, vengeful. That's how Toffee came to be.
I did the reseach and the name of that manga is Dangan Tenshi Fun Club
You can read it here: http://mangafox.me/manga/dangan_tenshi_fan_club/c001/1.html
Sadly, as of today it's still a one shot. It's a funny twist on the magical girl formula. Too bad it didn't continue.
Interesting initially I started watching OPM because the idea of a hero with no limits to his power sounded sick and unlike anything I ever heard of in the world of super hero's the blond girl would definitely had been a cool bonus and it would be cool to see her in the series as some other hero or even a villain as a head nod to his old idea. thanks for clearing that up Don.
Yeah, it would've been nice. Too bad we only got pic related...
Is there anything significant about the fact that Toffee shows up right after The Blood Moon Ball (in which two souls are bound and Marco hears a mysterious voice)? Is it possible that Toffee planned for Star and Marco to have their souls bound or just for Star and anybody (Tom)? Maybe Toffee planted the idea in Tom's head?
In the St. Olga's episode we see the crescent moon, a sun and a star. Presumably the star is Star, and the sun is Marco. These symbols are engulfed by a giant crescent moon (the Blood Moon?). I think either Toffee deliberately arranged for Star to have soul bound with someone to advance his plan OR that he was aware of this imagery (and what it indicated) but was waiting for the soul-binding to occur on its own before he moved forth with his plan. I don't know if that makes sense at all... Thoughts?
Someone else has this theory too. Kind of overly specific but some of it seems possible.
The lizard/crocodile creatures on the columns in that room could also indicate his involvement in whatever the floor symbols mean, and Adam McArthur did say to "be aware" of the room in general.
of course it was. Now she can proceed to get herself REAL boyfriend!
Imagine Star vs FoE version of this:
I suspect the voice might actually been Monster Arm and it was it and Marco that bonded their souls, not Marco and Star.
Thanks for the link, I didn't even think about the wands. They made a big thing about "the wand being cleaved" (separated/combined) and Star and Marco were "cleaved" together so Marco could be the possessor of the other wand?
Also, the mural shows demonic creatures not like the Monsters but more similar to Tom's fellow underworld denizens. It makes me wonder if the fact that Tom was briefly under the light of the blood moon is important at all.
Not bad. But it's probably a little too rushed for a theory.
Toffee's finger could also be separated from his body so that he might regenerate anywhere he pleases, should he be killed. Which makes sense because he'd be dead by now otherwise. Unless he did some c00l trick the last milliseconds after staring at a ticking bomb.
Anyway. Pic related sounds pretty solid for a theory where you have a prophecy and the two characters as symbols. Also with the wand cleaved now, the story could end like 2 makes 1 yadayada. etc headcanonator
Thank you, the world really needed this...
If they wanted to be really lazy about how he survived they could always use his apparent agility, which seems understandably ignored after that scene where he regrew an entire arm.
Explains how he got in and out of Ludo's office unnoticed in his first appearance, and that whole mirror trick he somehow pulled on Marco in the finale.
But that's anticlimactic.
That just looks like some QUALITY animation.
>Toffee voiced by Michael C. Hall
I knew he sounded to
cold-bloodedto be just anybody.
Hm.. Well even his agility wouldn't make sense... But.... Since he regenerated from Star's attack, and there were those butterflies mending his arm, he might be immune to the magic of the Butterfly family.
Butterflies healing his arm..
Butterflies everywhere. I don't know.. But I hope this'll be some GF Illuminati tier cartoon, because the hiatus is killing me.
I think the butterflies were just part of the initial attack that dissolved his arm, and the ones we saw were just hanging around after the fact, maybe picking at the ragged flesh of his stump with their long, magical tongues.
>he might be immune to the magic of the Butterfly family.
Although I've seen the opposite theory, mostly just on /co/: he's weak to magic compared to other people/monsters. His arm came off at literally the exact point where the magic blast made contact with his body, and considering the other spells Star was using in the same scene on everyone else it doesn't seem like she actually intended to amputate him.
This >>79074955 was in response to Star getting the wand back and being about to use it on the monsters-- she ended up beating them up physically, but he didn't know that. And he went on the roof of the restaurant, out of the way of Star's attack, the first time he saw her knock out Ludo's minions.
Obviously all that shit could just be linked to him not being an idiot and so avoiding getting beaten up and humiliated like the grunts, but taken with him deliberately not touching the wand in the finale I wouldn't be surprised if that's a weakness somehow linked to his backstory or motivations.
Definitely a solid point you have there and I always thought he was too smart to let himself get hurt by Star. But now I see that's pretty naive of me. Him being weak to magic is probably an even better explanation, and it also explains why he wants it destroyed.
So his finger was his first magic encounter, then later learned to regenerate his lost limbs from magic? Could be possible.
That's interesting. I initially thought he just didn't want to "get his hands dirty" and that's why he was always out of the picture. If I recall correctly, Star and Marco didn't even know he existed until Storm the Castle. I chalked it up to him wanting an element of surprise or something, but now that you brought it to my attention, I think he probably does have a special weakness to magic for some reason. Additionally, he also might have wanted to stay in the shadows undetected by Star and Marco.
This doesn't have to do with magic or anything but bringing up his easily amputated arm also reminds me of Marco karate chopping Tom's hand off. What was that about? Why was it so easy?
>Marco karate chopping Tom's hand off. What was that about? Why was it so easy?
The smoke with bone symbols in it that flowed out and then eventually reattached his hand made it look like, being a demon, he may just have a different biological (?) structure than a human would. He's not entirely corporeal or something, I guess.
Or Nefcy just has a body horror fetish that she inserts every few episodes.
It would certainly fit his theme as the manipulator in the background, and would help expand his intentions with the whole cleaving of the wand. One of the big questions I had about the character was why he didn't just flat out want the wand? It's been shown to work for monsters in some form, why did he go so far just to cleave it?
The idea that he wants to use the other shard for some magical related purpose sounds solid to me. His regeneration should make him a foe that Star and Marco wouldn't be able to deal with easily if he has some form of combat potential. But, as you suggested, if he has a weakness to magic then he'd damn well not want to engage in a fight with them, hence his whole plot in Storm the Castle.
That and Marco hits like a truck.
smears are just fantastic
Because they are cute and provide a nice contrast with the rest of her bubbly outfit.
Alternatively she wears them as a reminder of the time Tom took her virginity so she knows not to rush into a relationship and make another mistake like that again
It's a metaphor for the evil colonial legacy she has inherited as a Mewnian royal.
It's because she is a mischief-maker who likes to break rules, duh.
That one guy who said Tom hopes to have Star and Him do some <makes finger gesture> - he could mean Blood Moon....or it was an innuendo that Tom hopes to finally score[/spoiler[
Delivering Hope one bullet at a time.
Yeah I know it turned out looking like shit.
Crtl + F "Mope
Y-you guys actually kinda did your one job!
Yes! the return of Matchmaker hope! it's been a while! so far so good, cant wait to see where this goes.
I like a lot of ships! I am just currently trying to heavily tone down the Sabrina/Sabco spam, it seems it was getting way too annoying. so better try to put some limit on it.
The real sign of the apocalypse was last week's horrible weekend of Sabco.
>In my stories, I always censor swearwords — in a way to mimic the actual series.
I do the same, when I write I always keep in mind that it's about a Disney cartoon so swearing would really not fit the characters and setting.
Ironically, subte sexual innuendo is something I can see happening... weird how that works...
Oh the plot tickens! this can only lead to drama, Hope being Janna's friend and confident makes this road a dangeros one.
Looking forward to where it goes!
See you next friday, FC! thanks a lot for the awesome greens this weekend!
OH GOD!! Marco's expresion is priceless! amazing as usual, drawsis!
I don't have a Janna shotty but I do have mewberty star.
Exactly. Is Marco a bad enough dude to single handedly save the United States from the oncoming forces of the malicious Mewmans and put a stop to this tyrant's evil political meddling before it's too late? Find out on next week's exciting episode.
>"That Diaz boy comes from a very kind family Janna, rumor has it that the men are very well endowed. You have to make sure you trap that boy in your clutches."
>"Also, remember all the old tricks I've shown you. Use those in bed and you'll have that boy wrapped around your little finger."
>"And always remember the family motto."
>"Why work for love when you can snatch it."
>"That's our tricky little seductress."
Also, after 'inviting' herself, I can see Janna inviting more girls over the Diaz house to hang out. Especially if it messed with Marco.
I'd welcome episodes that touch on that subject, that being friends of Star's coming over to the Diaz residence. I can see Marco getting completely thrown off by it, and Star not paying it any mind and doing what she'd usually do.
Everyone would be thrown through the loop with that one.
Oh god I hope I can finish this stupid drawing of Janna and Hope before the thread dies.
I need to stop pretending I can draw!
>After 'inviting' herself, I can see Janna inviting more girls over the Diaz house to hang out.
That sounds like a story idea in of itself:
>Janna gets a hold of Marco's cell number just to tell him she'll be over later.
>Marco refuses to open the door for her when she arrives.
>It turns out that Star is throwing her first Earth sleepover.
>Hope, pigtails girl, and Jackie show up later.
>Marco locks himself in his room and tries to avoid them all night.
Cue the hijinks of Marco trying to hide his baby pictures and becoming the target in a game of truth or dare.
Add on to that idea that whilst Marco is looking to lay low, Star is having none of that and is trying to rope him in on the fun/treat the whole thing as business as usual.
Or perhaps his plan to lay low is working initially, but under the party influence, Star is going over the top on the magic front. Marco faces the challenge of trying to keep his house and guests within it from being harmed whilst avoiding the clutches of the dreaded girls slumber party.
Yea, it would make for some fun character interactions. That would really be fun to see.
This sleepover idea is fun. I'm gonna write it done in case I get the time and motivation to write a story. Anyone else that has the same idea, please feel free to do so as well if you want.
>Marco: "Alright that's it! I want all of you to get the heck out of my house now-
>Jackie: Hey Marco! Thanks for inviting me to the shin dig, this little slumber party is killer!
>Marco: "W-whah- what?"
>Jackie: "Star and her magic always makes things way better. I'm totally having a blast!"
>Marco: "... Sooo is everyone comfortable? Do you have enough snacks? Hey! Why don't I cook up some of my world famous nachos? I make a mean plate of nachos."
Why is this general so fucking autistic, holy shit
Starfan13 would steal it or chastise Marco for having it.
>"No, no, no! So unrealistic! I hope you're not using these as references! Geez, I guess I'll have to get my hands dirty to defend my OTP..."
This is literally the first undertale x Star
>"Blarco, dude!", greeted Blackie as she approached her classmate.
>"Greetings, attractive female"
>"Man, you totally rocked back there. The way you saved us ... dude, I never expected you to be so bold and manly"
>"I have no recollection of that whatsoever"
>"Ha ha, dude. No need to be so humble"
>"I am serious. I have no idea why we are in the bus right now"
>"Ha ha, Blarco, stop! They said you were funny, but you're killing me, ha ha ha!"
>"My attempts are futile. I better blend in the crowd. Ha. Ha Ha."
>"Anyways, is this seat taken?"
>"Yes. You are sitting there right now, without my consent. It makes me uncomfortable"
>"Do... do you want me to leave?"
>"No. I am okay with this"
>"What are you doing anyways?"
>"I am sending memes of high intellectual value to Blackie, so she can finally notice me"
>"Blarco... I'm right here"
>"Oh. How embarrasing..."
>"Don't worry, dude. You know, I gotta go now. But we should definitely talk again"
>"That would please me"
>"And maybe, you could skate on my board"
>Blarco remained speechless, with his eyes staring into the void.
>"Ha, made you think!" said Blackie as she left, wiking her right eye and smiling.
>Finally, Blarco could utter some words some time later.
>"I... I am vexed"
>Meanwhile, at that time, in the same bus, in a seat near Blarco.
>"OH, MY BLAR-BLAR SENSES ARE TINGLING! BLARCO, MY BEST FRIEND, MUST'VE DONE A BOLD MOVE ON HIS SECRET YET OBVIOUS CRUSH!
>Blar grabbed her chest with her own hand tightly.
>"THIS FILLS ME WITH JOY FOR BLARCO, BUT ALSO WITH SADNESS FOR AN INEXPLICABLE REASON. THIS VEXES ME!"
Thanks H-bro for the prompt.
>Jackie: "Woah, interesting pictures you got on your PC Marco."
>Marco: "OHGODNO! J-J-Jackie, it's not what it seems!"
>Jackie: "Haha, calm down Marco, your a young dude. It perfectly natural."
>Marco: "Y-your not... creeped out?
>Jackie: "No silly. Truth be told, I'm a little interested myself."
>Marco: "Whew, I'm sooo glad you not weirded out be thi- Wait! What?"
>Jackie: "I gotta ask you Marco. Wouldn't you prefer the real thing over pictures?
>Jackie pounces Marco.
>Later that night, she's seen leaving Marco's room with a satisfied grin.
>The next day, Star finds Marco in his room. Passed out and covered in various bodily fluids.
>With a very goofy smile plastered on his face.
What sort of animal comes to a sleep over and looks at the files on a dude's computer. Truly she is a menace of the highest proportions.
Thanks for the green though, been far too long since we had some good old Jarco.
I like to imagine Janna had a hand in directing Jackie on finding "Marco's super secret stash! Do not open! This means you Star!"
There's a little note next to the pictures that reads:
"There's more where these came from. <3"
I can't imagine him leaving it alone at any point though, Marco would likely be so out of it during the whole thing. Perhaps his concerns could be tied to Star's over exuberance, willingness to reveal what she knows about him to fit the slumber party atmosphere. That and all their shared stuff, and the stories she could likely tell. Christ, he'd be a nervous wreck the whole time
and we'll never get an episode of it.
Hey guys, how is everyone? Haven't been by in a long time but felt bad I didn't have anything to share. But that's changed finally.
I got what's a potential next chapter of Princess Charms and wanted to share it with you guys first since this was the place that first inspired me to write it. It hasn't been fully edited yet so there's probably corrections to be made. For anyone that wants to give it a go over, here you are.
I do feel like Marco would surely spill some spaghetti at some point, but as we've seen, he's very slowly gaining a bit of confidence. I'd like to believe that he'd nut up at some point, but who really knows.
Will we ever see Marco become a dark skinned Adonis with hoards of woman at his feet? Likely not, but crazy shit can surprise."
>Marco puts on a hoodie and finds a photo tucked into one of the sleeves.
>It seems to be of a flat board with a black line running down the middle of its grain.
>He shows it to Star to get her opinion.
>"Oh, that's one of Chantelle's She took a butt shot."
I have pic related and a laser puppy
On a side note anons, should I continue the hope and Janna magic shenanigans green next week or let it be one and done?
>'You finally corner the villain at the back of his lair. There doesn't seem to be any escape route but the doorway to your backs. No point in diplomacy now, he and his bodyguards draw their weapons and surge towards you with a defiant cry! Everyone roll for initiative!'
>Say what you will, Ferguson made a pretty decent game master. The evening so far had been a resounding success. Star and Marco fell into the baddie-beating role easily with their respective barbarian and knight characters, Alfonzo fit the bill of a mage very naturally, Janna played a convincing rogue, and even Hope pulled off acleric with aplomb.
>Their adventure had started with investigating a murder, and spiralled into a conspiracy against the crown, layered with personal stakes and motivation for each character. Ultimately it ended in storming the enemy's base of operations, with one final slogging match until its conclusion.
>'I'm moving forward to engage them in close combat. Star, back me up!'
>'I'm casting another heal on Star, hopefully get rid of that nasty chest wound.'
>'Nuclear Winter Fireballs coming online, Ferg!'
>'I'm moving around to flank them. As soon as I see an opening, I'm cutting coinpurses with my right dagger and tickling their kidneys with my left.'
>'Dammit, Janna, you can loot them when they're dead!'
>'Roll for defense, Marco? Ooh, you're hit for five points!'
>'I'm healing Marco, then taking a swing at the bodyguard'
>'Nice hit, Hope! And you've knocked him out cold!'
>'War Axe +3! War Axe +3! Yes! That's a kill!'
>'You don't have to call your attacks, Star...'
>'And sleepytime for you, big guy! Now, give Aunty Janna your money...'
>'Ferg, I catch the leader's blow on my shield before smacking him with the flat of my sword.'
>'Aaand he's K.O.'d! Congrats, guys, mission completed!'
>So, what do we do with these guys? Three are still alive, including the leader.'
>'Turn them over to the king? They did try to stage a coup.'
If the thread is still up when I get back from dinner I will try to add to the Hope green. Despite the lack of quality they do take me a while to write since I won't post until I know it's not too autistically awful .
Thank you for all the welcomes back. I'll probably still be disappearing and reappearing like normal through the threads but glad to give back to the group!
At this point all I got left is straight up penetration!
Just marathoned the whole thing, few questions
>Did Toffee die or what?
>what was with the huge shift in animation halfway through?
>when is S2?
>does anyone have a webm of the scene where Star slaps the banana ice cream out of Marco's hand?
