So where there ever be a point where Peridot gets her limb enhancers back? She seems pretty useless now.
I hope she eventually does. I liked her Limb Enhancers, and even looked like she didn't even know about what they were even capable of.
I was mad when Amethyst dumped them into the sea.
I personally wish her limb enhancers were actually part of "her" and not just robot parts. I thought it made the Gem race more unique that we got to see one of them take the form of this strange robotic creature with floating fingers. Knowing she's just a loli underneath is actually pretty boring.
Knowing that all the gems will always take humanoid forms and not have any interesting component beyond that is kinda boring actually.
I don't know. I kind of want them back because it was absolutely hilarious how she utilized them to fight or escape the Crystal Clods, but she's just so darn cute as a little angry slice of pie.
I think it's an interesting concept. Some of the gems are starting to integrate themselves with technology, despite not actually having bodies. If Steven Universe had more of a sci-fi angle to it, you could do all sorts of neat things with that concept, like having their race eventually evolve into fully mechanical people with the gem at their core as a way to compensate for how easy their bodies are to break.
But I doubt the show will do anything with it.
But her limb enhancers were thrown in water, they're completely useless now.
shit's gone in the ocean or something bruh.
the more important question is: will jasper be given the same opportunity to change and become a crystal gem?
She actively wants to beat the shit out of Steven for being a weak shit and not like Rose and went against her own morals of denouncing fusion as a cheap tactic in order to beat Garnet to save her pride, turning her into a huge monster that Lapis had to chain to the bottom of the sea.
She's not changing anytime soon.
>If Steven Universe had more of a sci-fi angle to it
Why do people say shit like this? What has to happen in your life for you to be peeved that magic rock aliens in a kid's show about a boy who lives with his lesbian aunts look like humans?
Gems are hard light holograms with mass whatever that even means, their normal bodies are more alien tech than fucking mechanical robots to begin with, the limb enhancers being mechanical is actually a technological downgrade and should really be made of the same hard light stuff they are made off.
Fuck off Sugar, go work on season 3.
Aslo what'd you guys think of the bomb?
No they are science because the way they are created is scientific.
They seem to be sentient life whos perception organ is their gems, they have the ability to release energy from these gems that can be given mass that allows them to create a mobile exoskeleton to manipulate the environment around them. Gems are incredible alien technology this is literal witchcraft tier alien tech. Not to mention their exoskeletons can shapeshift and mimic the properties of any matter they desire yet for some reason they prefer feminine humanoid shapes.
Garnet origins was good.
Birthday episode was okay, but not that great.
Third and fourth episodes together we're both great.
Fifth episode felt like "OH GOD WE FORGOT TO DO AN EPISODE WHERE PERIDOT BONDS WITH GARNET, UM UH LET'S JUST STICK IT IN AN EPISODE AFTER THE YELLOW DIAMOND THING WHERE WE ALSO INCREMENTALLY DEVELOP PERIDOT'S CHARACTER, IT'S GENIUS!", but it was pretty okay regardless.
Everything other than Steven's birthday was highly rewatchable. That episode was a little weird.
I hope Steven does come back in S3 in his grown up way.
I just think that Peridot's change was already apparent. The betrayal, should she have actually gone through with it without regrets, wouldn't have made sense after the previous few episodes. If they really wanted to drive the point home they could've done the episode beforehand.
It is an exoskeleton because their real inner body is their gem meaning the hard light thing is an exoskeleton. The gem is not hard light it is actual matter that is why it cant poof when its damaged. Also armor is an exoskeleton, the car you are sitting in is an exoskeleton, basically any hard thing that you are inside of is an exoskeleton.
How do they have mass when they're made of light
No its on the inside retard, a part of the gem is located on the exterior.
Idk man but scientist have already found a way to turn light into some kind of energized matter, reality is just weird man.
I don't see how that refutes the guy's claim that they forgot to make an episode explaining Peridot's intentions and then hastily put it together afterwards.
They did it just because they wanted to do a "gotcha" with Peridot's betrayal-not-betrayal. The positioning makes zero sense otherwise. And the most shameless part is that it was completely for nothing because they willingly spoiled her loyalties many days before the episode aired. It wasn't even a CN fuck-up or a leak, they just posted it probably because they wanted more social media fan wanking.
So you're admitting that they're not made from light, because mass is made of protons which light is not.
>low quality posting
Might as well ban ALL threads on 4chan then.
Their forms conform to the gravity of the planetoid they're currently standing on, or closest to.
Their projected forms are normalized across the board to maintain function.
Now if you actually want to now /how/, you know you're asking a really stupid question just to ask one. The answer is "magic".
Well, we saw Lapis in that oops promo being given a gift by Peridot. Peridot learned the Earth custom of gift-giving from Steven, so it's possible she's trying to butter up Lapis so she'll return the favor by diving into the ocean to retrieve Peridot's limb enhancers.
>well after Peridemption has taken its toll
>Jasper manages to escape the ocean, Lapis off doing whatever
>knows about Peridot's mutiny but falls victim to the "Homeworld Gem loves the Earth after being on it for a relatively short time" complex
>realizes Peridot is a valuable asset; her brains compliment her brawns to make an unstoppable time
>not completely sold on Jasper's offer, Peridot makes a temporary alliance for the sake of the planet's survival
I really want to know more about their dynamic. They seemed like the types who'd work together on multiple missions/assignments - brains and brawn together can be formidable.
Forgot to mention, Jasper seems like the type who could manage to acquire or even build some new, better limb enhancers. After all jaspers are the type I could see mafia, law enforcement, loan sharks, tax collectors, etc. using to coerce people.
From someone else's perspective it wasn't a mistake at all. In fact, many would argue the aftermath was overall very beneficial.
But congratulations on finding way to make the episode order into a vague Hitler allusion. People with no argument do that shit a lot.
For the Yuropoors that bent over and took Hitler's cock and got severely assravaged, and were then forced to accept air-dropped bailout boxes from the Greatest Country In The World after we saved their sorry asses, of course.
I acknowledged it was a cartoon, but you seem to be trying to apply logic to it so maybe you should hold your horses
Actually, no, not at all.
The first two parts are all about /why/ the cartoon logic allows them to have mass without citing any specific reason why they're physical forms would have them.
The /how/ is a ridiculous question.
If you want another source it seriously only takes 30 seconds to find, do it yourself
The loss of her Limb Enhancers is the signal of the start of her journey towards redemption.
Before she was plugged in to the matrix of the Diamond's will, but one she unhooked from it, she found herself capable of stopping and just looking around at the earth instead of being completely absorbed in work.
I doubt she'll get them back for that reason, because they're such a metaphor for her.
Which perhaps makes me think the gems don't even know their own construction and lends to theories that poise the gems are some sort of rogue AI in a computer that stole the technology of the civilization that created it and wiped them out.
And that all they know is how to make more gems. but not how any of it even works - like ancient humans.
It would honestly be cool to see her invent her own limb enhancers somewhere down the line. Then again all the gems are suited for combat so maybe they'll leave her to be useless and cute in the background
That would require them completely abandoning the drill project back at the barn, going all the way to the temple, using the warp pad, going underwater to find them, spending time repairing the-OOPS CLUSTER'S HERE NOW EVERYONE'S DEAD
I thought the episode was pretty entertaining personally but very well a-non.
I bet shes the type of character that doesnt chip in cause of how depressed and angry they are. But when they actually do fight they completly wreck everything cause of how OP they are.
>Just watched the episode about ruby and sapphire meeting again.
It's occurred to me they have a really co-dependent relationship.
Neither of them probably like themselves much at all, but likes the qualities of the other and so they stay fused to get away from themselves and be someone better.
If you're referring to it being posted on the internet after people saw it, I'm not on websites where discussion of this show is prominent and I haven't been on /co/ in a while. Sue me.
So are corrupted gems ever going to start making an appearance again? I am really interested in how/why gems get corrupted and its annoying that the show basically dropped any mention of them because of "Homeworld arc"
>yfw the heat of the earth's core caused the Cluster's broken gem parts to literally fuse together into a corrupted gem, creating a monster that sort of looks like Steven's sock puppet
At this point if that damn monster doesn't look like the sock puppet (complete with swirly eyes) I will be disappointed.
Jesus those old designs were so bad.
The last time we saw one was reformed no? That wasn't TOO long ago. They've just been dealing with forced fusions and what not. There's really been no place for them. They'll probably come back once this cluster arc is resolved.
Some DeviantArtists like the idea
>UG crossover dooms their relationship
Will it happen?
I honestly cannot see Jasper joining the CG after what they did to her, and what Lapis did to her. At all. Unless they pull some kind of 'she was forcebly fused with Lapis too long and her personality did a 180' bullshit.
Just look at how she reacted when she saw Steven in the dream
>being this fucking stupid
light is literally all electrons
Peridot has to poof and reform to permanently change her appearance. She also probably needs to poof and reform to put her limb enhancers back on. So she will likely get the limb enhancers back in the same episode she changes her appearance to swap to a star emblem.
They need to do this. Steven and Connie need to have a Warp Pad mishap. Where they get sent to a parallel universe. A parallel universe where everything is going horribly wrong because of a change in one event. Resulting in there being no Steven. Stevonnie saves the day for the Parallel Gems, gives them hope again. Then they send him back to his universe.
I can't re-watch the second half Log Date 7 15 2. It felt like they were forcing themselves to make a statement about consent through Garnet and Peridot's fusion interaction and I couldn't help but cringe at it.
Honestly, it felt like Tumblr pandering.Am I the only one that feels that way?
>Unless you're RWBY.
and /sveg/ /gfg/ sveg has been on hiatus since September 21, 2015, gfg got their last episode November 23, 2015 either the mods are biased as hell or the haven't made the ban reason a sticky
> gems clothes are melded to their bodies
> been in the ocean, rolling in dirt/sand, fighting gem monsters, covered in ketchup/blood polyp juice
> believe in the showering is for humans maymay
> gems confirmed for being dirty and smelling like shit
I don't really think that had anything to do with it. I mean that's the way it would happen. Of course Garnet would never force Peri to fuse and of course she would be eager to show Peri what being a fusion was like and at the same time of course Peri would be unable to fuse because of her reservedness and sheltered history. The only thing questionable is why Garnet would outright ask Peri to fuse out of nowhere when she had previously made such a big deal about how personal fusion is and how much trust you put in the other person when you fuse.
In that sense it didn't feel like tumblr pandering just fan service. And a giant cock tease of fan service at that.
yep. I figure Rose just up and died at the end of the war. When she was saving her friends from the Gem Superweapon. Everything else went along as normal for the next 5000 years. Garnet, Pearl, and Amy go about collecting up corrupted gems and gem shards. Though the lack of Rose's presence means Amy has no mom figure and she acts out even more. Pearl is depressed about Rose. No Lion. Garnet just over worked trying to take up the slack. So when Peridot shows up, everything goes to shit.
I think it was more about Garnet showing Peridot that fusion is more than just battle-focused, and can be an expression of a relationship with someone else.
I didn't like the episode in general, I'm just playing Devil's advocate.
Peridot had her "field trip with Zuko" episodes with the Gems.
Going to get the Kindergarten Drill with Amy.
The mecha competition with Pearl.
Learning about relationships and fusion with Garnet.
look at his pathetic old and lame face
jesus christ when is Sugar gonna get rid of him for good
Post your dream episode no matter how autistic it is or how far it reaches
>All action episode fighting gem corruptions feat. Stevonnie and Peridot
>Animated by Studio Trigger
>With alternate opening done by Trigger
>With transformation sequence for gems summoning their weapons and fusing
>Written by Genndy Tartovosky
>Gems are fighting some monster and become corrupted except for Steven
>Steven has to take care from now on
>Steven is able to heal one gem:
>Big arc when he heals everybody while Homeworld sends its army
Lapis tells Steven about the war from a Third Party point of view. The flash back is story boarded by Kentaro Miura, who illustrates Bersek.
You literally just used "literally" in your sentence.
>An sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic
I kinda feel like they call things magic for Steven's sake. They barely wanted to admit that they were invaders (who were part of a race that almost destroyed the planet, despite turning rebellious) to Steven.
They only started talking about it when the past started coming back to haunt them.
Mayor Dewey bonds with Pearl
Marty comes back in town to promote Sour Cream without knowing he's his own son. He also retells the story like it is and sort things out with Vidalia.
After a while he forgives Greg and they start becoming friends, with Greg eventually helping Marty when he realises he's SC's father, he helps they bond and build a relationship.
she will be the joke character from here to the end and to show that gems can be weak too
Jasper is a failure. She has two choice, join or die. Yellow Diamond is all about scorched Earth now. Nothing gets to survive the cluster.
eh I felt the same way with "Marty, women are people" in Story for Steven even though Marty wasn't treating them like objects nor denigrating them
Imagine the cluster looking like a brother moon from Dead Space
>even though Marty wasn't treating them like objects nor denigrating them
What makes you think that.
Was it from all the respectful acts you saw him do that Greg never saw.
Literally all we know is that he likes to act like he has a lot of money and uses that to impress women and then does a pump and dump.
Im honestly expecting it to look something like this
Maybe with multiple colours similar to the fusion experiments/first Garnet. Steven's had precognitive tendencies before. His hand puppet thing might not be far off.
>Connie gets hurt but only bruises on her arms
>Connies dad goes operator on the CG's to get answers
>one by one they fall to his sneeki sneeki
>till he gets to Steven and stares at him with intent to kill
Steven wakes up from a bad dream and cancels rock climbing with Connie using evasive excuses to why and just settle for samurai movie marathons
>connies dad picks her up at the board walk and Steven sees the same hungry eyes like in his nightmare
>executive producer Speed Weed
I just don't like the direction the show has gone ever since the season one finale. Yeah pre season one wasn't amazing or anything like that but there were some bits and pieces I really enjoyed a lot.
The characters now feel a bit too one note nowadays, the story is all over the god damn place, Perdiot is a fucking joke and it's sad because she was one of my favorite characters, and the list goes on.
I contribute the downfall of Steven Universe, at least to me, somewhere in the beginning of the Sardoynx arc. The series rapidly changed for the worse.
It wasn't about a boy who looked up to his heroes and strives to be just like them one day anymore. Now it's gay melodrama and that just sucks.
That Garnet always makes me worried. Did one of her gem lesbos get corrupted, and the other got stuck in her, or did she try fusing with her out of some sick desire to be with eachother?
Reminder that there are people in this thread, RIGHT NOW, who like this ape.
I disagree with every point but it's your opinion senpai
are they crazy!? Are they outta their moinds!?
I mean that's how the series began with the monster a week set up for a good while, but no I don't want that. I want things to make sense in the context it's given, preferably story elements and not lame one off jokes that get referenced fifty fucking episodes later.
The series is very disjointed, more disjointed than Man of Steel. Being linear isn't a bad thing, this isn't a video game where you have option of A, B or C this a cartoon where you are expected to have the same experience every time regardless. So it doesn't make sense for you to even bring that point up.
Very interesting, actually
>so how come /sug/ only gets this treatment?
oh fine, its because /sug/ is BIG, bigger than most Generals, too big to be moderated properly, so the mods look for any chance to get rid of it to make their job easier.
>this a cartoon where you are expected to have the same experience every time regardless
But that's not true, since AT most of CN cartoons and even from other networks have been creating story-based shows. There used to be like you say, but for now, I guess that time is over.
Lapis would be the one to die, most likely.
I'm all for Pearl dying though, i want Lapis to live
Story based cartoons are nothing new. All things come in cycles. At some point people will get sick of them and then the episodic show with no real connection between episodes will be a breath of fresh air.
any news on when next eps will be out? or is it still quiet as fuck?
a little bit surprised there's no teasers or anything
I doubt that. Story based shows like SU are still in the vast minorty. Thats part of the reason people latch on to it. They're desperate for some more western animation with some attempt at continuity.
32 DAYS 18 HOURS 3 MINUTES
Steven or Garnet.
Steven still needs his Gem Fusion cherry popped. Garnet is the fusion master and they might have need of a technical expert, cluster expert, someone who can move in lava, and has precognition.
steven universe feature length full blown musical with a respectable budget when?
I just want a musical episode tbqh, just straight singing all the way. Maybe when Lapis and Jasper join they can have a group song.
Well, to be honest I don't see SU getting a movie
>feels like alex just gave up mid way into season 2
damn, that was a surprise
okay this would be more than one episode and I recognize how over-dramatic and illogical it is in the context of the show
>The CGs take Peridot to town and she bonds with a human and develops a friendship with them (Jenny? idk who)
>As the team prepares to drill for the cluster, Yellow Diamond suddenly shows up with a single ship that contains various high tech as fuck weapons
>some humans, including the one Peridot befriended, run towards the ship to see what's going on and are noticed by Yellow Diamond and called pointless organic life that should have been wiped out thousands of years ago
>Yellow Diamond shoots gunk from some laser that fuses the gems with the ground
>Gives them a quick speech about how they have defied her for long enough and it is time they died
>"We'll start with the puny Peridot"
>shoots the laser at her
>suddenly "NOOOOOOO" as Jenny/Idk Who jumps in front of Peridot and saves her from the laser, getting hit themselves in the process
>In their anger gems break free of magical laser gunk
>Peridot runs up to Jenny/Idk Who and asks them why they would ever do something like that, their body won't regenerate, organic life form talk etc
>Jenny/Idk Who says that it doesn't matter as long as they had an impact
>Jenny/Idk Who dies and their family/other humans cry out
>Peridot's head is down, when she raises it there are tears in her angry eyes
>She only does one thing: turn around and extend her hand to Garnet
>Pearl and Amethyst fuse
>suddenly other humans run up to the two Giant Women, saying they want to help fight
>Steven nods and fuses with them
>the three fusions try to fight YD but aren't strong enough
>They take each other's hands and fuse together
>MEGA FUSION FIGHT TO DESTROY YELLOW DIAMOND
>What the hell is Peridot's weapon though.
>wanting the SU finale to be like the GF finale
It'd be amazing if as a series finale all the gems (Lapis, Jasper and Peridot included) fuse to take on the blue, white and yellow diamond's fusion, while the corrupted gems (who are now uncorrupted) fight homeworld troops in the background
Anon, Peridot has figured out a way to make gem production renewable. That clod YD didn't want to hear it. That's pretty fucking significant. She's also more rational where the others are too emotional. Peri is a huge boost to the team, even if she can't fight on her own.
Reminder that this will be the new CG by the end of the season.
>inb4 Ruby and Sapphire
This is literally happening you can't deny Sucrose's animu redemption party fetish.
Gravity Falls is on it's deathbed and /sveg/ agreed only to have weekend threads.
But that's neither here nor there, since neither of them have a tenth of the shitposting power of /sug/.
>She's also more rational where the others are too emotional
HE BUILT THIS IN A CAVE! WITH A BUNCH OF SCRAPS
>Peridot brings the moe and sprug
>Lapis brings the depression and morose
>Jasper brings the honorabru and anger
Peridot and Lapis are easy to see, but Jasper is kinda hard to pin down since we haven't seen much of her, but it honestly isn't out of the question. Having a berserker on the team would be neat and refreshing tbqh
Has Jasper even really interacted with other characters? Like sure she's yelled at everyone but she hasn't actually had a conversation with anyone except for maybe Lapis a little. I'm expecting big developments for her
when she gets unbubbled.
Last One Out Of Beach City sounds like shit's gonna go down and it will be like Ocean Town all over again
Maybe Yellow herself comes to Earth to kick Peridot in the gut?
>YD's professional shit kicking force shows up
>steven and the gems unite to defend their new pal
>all that friendship
i can't you guys
got shadow realmed
mods are being bros about it though and letting us have specific lore discussion though
>gem ginyu force take over beach city
>Steven and the gems along with other beach city residents are forced to retreat
>season 3 has new location
>The Garnet Origin whatever episode was fucking shit desu
>Steven's Birthday was pretty good. Wish he stayed the way he was, I like lanky Steven
>Could've been Great was great. I liked the ending
>Message Recieved was great too. Glad to see Steven finally get fed up with Dorito waifu's shit.
>Log Date wasn't that good. I did get to see Peri try on boxers though so that's nice.
stop sucking on the mods' teat
that won't get the general back
you huge brown nose
I'd rather have them nowhere to be quite honest
Sounds like a penultimate episode like The Return, but I don't see YD coming down by the end of S2 unless something really big goes down, like her somehow finding out about Steven's existence. Maybe like a strike team or something?
so do you guys think the cluster is a one-off? or has homeworld created other clusters?
YD's attitude makes it seem like a cluster isn't that big a deal, albeit a valuable resource to add to the arsenal
I kinda wish it's a time skip episode with a space adventure cliff hanger at the end.
>Steven looking over Beach City from the cliffs
>a refurbished hand ship piloted by Peridot is ready for take off
>Steven sees Connie running after him
>he starts backing away slowly only to yell out the final line of the season
>"LAST ON OUT OF BEACH CITY IS A ROTTEN EGG!"
>cue Greg watching from the beach on top of his van and the townspeople watching from the board walk as the wave goodbye to Steven and the CG's
>credits roll with a extended cut of "I'm just a comet" as it shows scenes of them getting ready to take off and them disapprove into outer space
someone screencapped it someplace
basically mods said that show's on hiatus again and having a general just shits up the board
as long as we don't fuck about, we can have specific threads
please don't fuck about
>>season 3 has new location
also add in massive ass fusion with all the cg plus lapis, jasper and peetle
When do you think we'll see her again?
If we do see her again, what will she be doing?
The thing about Jasper is, she's not like Lapis or Peridot. Lapis was never loyal to the Homeworld; her only interest was getting herself home. Peridot was entirely naive about the existence of non-Homeworld viewpoints, or any of the reasons behind the conflict.
Jasper? Jasper fought Rose Quartz personally. She was likely offered a chance by the lady herself to turn. She's seen the Earth, and she doesn't care. Jasper is the only Homeworld Gem (aside from the Diamonds and Pearls) who actually had the choice between Homeworld and the Earth and chose Homeworld. And that's going to be really tricky to work with.
She won't have a job to return to after Blue Diamond hears about her fusion with Lapis!
>Lapis was never loyal to the Homeworld
that happened after she went back and realized BD wasn't ruling anymore, making her kind useless
why else would she want to go back? she thought of HW as her home
His response, just for the record, was pretty clearly sarcastic, along the lines of "Naw, we introduced these major, terrifying threats in an important episode with a lot of fanfare so we could never use them again."
>Jasper being offered a choice.
I don't think that's likely. She was excited to go to Earth to personally fight Rose. She never implied actually meeting her.
Besides, Jasper is a warrior who admits in respecting an enemies tactics and style. I can easily see Steven saving her, making her feel indebted to him.
That or she's gonna have her own adventures on Earth, maybe even being that Lost At Sea episode.
>season 3 will be in space
Homeworld will be SU's Namek.
They arrive and stay for way too many episodes.
>Alone at Sea
>A double-meaning of Jasper being lost for so long, either as Malachite or just herself, and her feelings of failure and abandonment from HW
Not even a Jasperfag but I want it.
if you have nothing to contribute then shut up
Place your bets on which named gem is the most likely to get shattered in the near future.
Oh, dang, really? Forgot that.
I don't think we've seen any indication of either of those things. Lapis's stated reason for being afraid was that Homeworld didn't look or feel anything like what she remembered. As for wanting to go home, well... if you'd been kept prisoner for thousands of years on a planet you aren't even that fond of, you'd want to see your old hometown as well. Doesn't make you a patriot.
>Steven and the Gems somehow travel to the future
>earth is vastly different, everything seems to be industrial and mechanical
>earth almost looks like it was fully colonized by homeworld
>however there are no signs of gem life in the planet
>Steven and the Gems try to find who's running the entire place since apparently everyone is following the command of one single ruler
>they find him
>he has become this corrupt, Big Boss like character who destroyed the entire gem race to obtain their resources in order to build his
>little Steven and the gems quickly travel to the present
>Steven accepts his fate
The only thing I can see working for her redemption without just plain fucking her character up to fit the plot's course is this:
>Malachite fusion finally fails and she gets loose (all but confirmed by that one shot of Lapis on her own interacting with CG member Peridot)
>immediately goes after Steven and CGs, regardless of her knowledge or lack thereof of her boss just wanting Earth obliterated with her on it, all because of her grudge from the last defeat
>gets either held off for long enough to allow for escape/a distraction event, or beaten by the CGs, but keeps coming not long after
>this happens several times, until Steven notices it not stopping her for good and tries the "let's all be friends, choose your purpose for yourself" schtick, like with Peridot
>rather than having a deep existential crisis, she just decks him for trying to talk her down rather than fighting, because that's really the logical thing for a pissed-off, Amazonian-figured caste warrior to do in most situations
>Steven either tries again and gets pissed after it fails again, or gets pissed the first time it doesn't work, similar to Peridot disregarding his initial efforts to help her, and making him angry enough to do something mean rather than whipping out the ukelele again
>for the first time in the show with any enemy, he finally either smacks her with the shield/bubble when she comes at him yet again (note: not just holding her back with it, but actively smashing it into her with intent to stun/hurt), or just straight-up throws a punch for once
>she actually gets knocked flat on her geometric ass, and realizes he's strong enough that he could've done that at any time, but held back (unknowingly since he likely had no clue he could do that, but still)
>cue existential crisis regarding her role and capability, and subsequent transit into the standard SU redemption arc, where she learns of friendship, junk food, Earth TV and the like and grows fond of humanity
I have a feeling lapis will be pissed at peridot at first but then realize that she has changed and will accept her and to repay her for the gift will go fish out her limb enhancers from the ocean. I also think peridot's first fusion will be with lapis to stop Jasper from attacking steven
That bitch is gonna be bitter about shit for the rest of the series. Her character is gonna be her wanting to die and everyone stopping her suicide attempts.
No! Why would you think that? It's explicitly stated they were never actually part of her body.
The only thing she has pulled out of her forehead so far is a bomb, and even that's ambiguous.
>Steven and the gems either travel to the future, or encounter a time-traveler interfering with them out of the blue
>the person they encounter responsible for this is none other than Steven himself, but older
>also, he changed his last name, it's no longer Universe
Armstrong On that note, I always did like the idea of a mashup between these two Stevens. Considering Armstrong's whole deal is the nanomachine armor stemming from an embedded piece of tech, and Universe's deal is energy shielding originating from an embedded mix of tech and lifeform, they really are similar in terms of basic design and gimmicks. Defensive power focus and a tendency to push their ideologies on others through either force or charm depending on the resilience of the target doesn't hurt the comparison either. Plus, elements of one meld well with the other, like Steven having reactive gemstone/rock armor to go with his other defensive abilities that's imperfect since it requires awareness and a few moments to activate, or Armstrong's personality and ideology as the mental side of a strong human like Steven with Gem anatomy and tech mashed together with their own. A future Steven with Armstrong's personality and/or a Gem facsimile of his powers would be a terrifying foe indeed.
anyone else find hilarious that the supposed Peridot fusion is called Jade and jade is slang for slut?
eh not too bad it but your idea is kind of
why would he change his last name to armstrong? kek
>I'd had swallowed too much sea water.
>I had swallowed too much horror.
