Will they show up again now that secret wars ended?
Triage is part of the next arc of Uncanny X-men
The Dark Riders are murdering healers like him and Elixir
Tempus and Goldballs were the ones who got the most focus
Morph has the coolest powerset and a lot of potential
Hijack is probably going to be forgotten and used as fodder
Yeah, say what you want about the writing, but at least the art was good throughout, they gave RAMOS to the main X-Book.
>tfw Bendis wrote a good Cyclops and now we're stuck with him being mute hitler now
I knew it wasn't going to be good, but to be this rushed and poorly written? Man...
>Bendis wrote a good Cyclops
The guy who started a fake mutant revolution that went nowhere until the last few pages of his run because he was having an emotional breakdown? That Cyclops?
>to be this rushed and poorly written
That's what happens when they guy that was supposed to take over the whole line quits shortly before the issues need to be made and you have to thrown whoever is available on to do it. Espicially when the person they had available was Lemire, who was already writing 3 other books and, by his own admission, sucks at team books.
>till they fix it
Anon I have bad news for you, but marvel doesnt own the film rights for the x-men
They are the current token next gen x-men who get to be forgotten in 2-3 years.
Fuck you guys. Lemire is just working with what he was given. Everything he has is because of the new Bendis status quo. Did Lemire bring teen Jean into the Future? Did he add OML into the universe? Was he the one that shoehorned Bobby into being gay? Lemire's run is a result of Bendis fuckery. Just because the run is currently shit, I'd rather have this than more Bendis. As someone said in another thread, Lemire is at least trying to make a vase out of a pile of shit, where as Bendis just kept punching the shit pile hoping to make statue.
That is because they can sell deadpool outside of comics.
How will you fill up the hole inside of you then ?
Quire and Morrison creation (erns, glob herman) are an exception, i like to thing artist like to draw those characters and that why they kept them.
Fantomex is your super-spy that could be used in the dark and gritty x-whatever comics
Can we talk about how this entire line went from Immonen, Bachalo, Marquez, and Irving to fucking Land, Ramos, and Bagley (who is actually unexpectedly doing an ok job)? Marvel really doesn't give a fuck do they?
kek. Was just about to post this.
But yeah, every time a new writer creates a new generation of young mutants, they get ignored by future writers, it's the cycle of things.
At some point, you gotta wonder why they even bother creating new characters. Do they really think that this time these new guys will stick?
>How will you fill up the hole inside of you then ?
I don't know anon. I guess i'll have to start watching japanese cartoons and shitpost on /a/ because I am just not with this shit they're pulling right now.
>Everything he has is because of the new Bendis status quo.
Bendis' run ended with all the mutants coming together and agreeing that Scott was right, except Beast, who gets blamed for all the bad shit that happened in bendis' run.
Lemire's run has everyone suddenly demonizing Cyclops as the worst person to ever live.
> Oh God this moving cloud that we could very easily avoid is a danger to us. What do we do?
>I know, let's move the school to Hell and then bring in as many of the remaining members of our endangered species there. What could possibly go wrong?
Why is Storm the leader after such a retarded proposition?
She's the same leader who decided the X-Men didn't need to tell their friends and families that they weren't actually dead during the Australian years, even though that didn't protect them from their enemies any.
It has literally been only 5 issues.
>Lemire's run has everyone suddenly demonizing Cyclops as the worst person to ever live.
Because that's the new mandate for pushing the Inhumans, what else is he supposed to do? Hopeless is doing the same in Not-really-all-new X-men, as well as the Inhumans books and Uncanny Avengers.
Is everyone hating the new x-books? I didn't really care for the first issue of uncanny, but extraordinary is decent and all new is actually pretty good. I dropped all new wolverine, but it seemed fine
At least some New Mutants got to amount to something. I mean Magik is a consistent part of the main team now for better or for worse and Cannonball and Sunspot get to do things in Avengers.
>tfw just finished Brood Saga for the first time
>tfw just starting to read New Mutants
>tfw don't have to care about modern X-Men because I've still got hundreds and hundreds of classic issues to read
They hyped the book up saying how Bendis can write teens. This was before we found out the roster for All-new X-men, it was just hype from title only. Then people thought it was going to be about Scott's new students. No one expected All-new X-men to be about old X-men from the past having their own book. The O5 should have just been a single story arc that resolved at the end of BotA, but instead they get their own book where they had nothing to do other than crossover after crossover. That's what Aaron gets for thinking his even wasn't gonna get taken away from him by Bendis.
I remember this and not only was it /co/ alot of other places were hyping it too but you know who kept saying it was going to be shit and laughed? The avengers fans, they laughed from the start and they were right.
Yeah. When in doubt, read old comics. Sure, people have funny way of speech, but you get used to it.
I remember Cyclops breaking Elixir out of jail, X gon give it to ya sign... what a dud of comic.
Oh, and Bendis totally knows to write good Iron Man. He gets him. Do you agree with me, facial hair bro?
I remember Avengersfag saying something like "your turn to suffer".
Do clouds really move slow though? I had always figured they're a perspective kind of thing like how jets and planes look like they're moving slow because of how high up they are.
Because editorial has decided that mutants must be on the verge of extinction again and the x-men must be faced with a problem that they cannot solve for editorial mandate. It's difficult to be a good leader when the powers that be have decided that you must have shit upon shit heaped on you.
Whatever choice Storm had made it would have turned out badly because it's the only way for the writer to give them something to do since their main enemy is something they cannot defeat.
is avx when it started going to shit?
Decimation may not have been good, but there was a threat to the x-men, the decimation of mtants, and the x-men has the way to beat it, Hope and the Phoenix. That's what one reads cape books for, The heroes beating problems.
Then in AvX someone decided that the X-men must not be able to solve their own threats, and the Avengers had to step in and be the heroes. That probably marks when somebody in Marvel had decided to start shitting on the x-men
>Not being sent off to limbo the moment their creator leaves
X-men fans care only about characters from 60s, 70s and 80s, everyone else is a wallpaper to them.
Annihilation for the cosmic-line, and 2007 gave us World War Hulk and Messiah Complex. Expect a crossover involving Cho-Hulk and something that will give the mutants hope over the terrigen mists.
