Was this the first time Disney was truly beaten at their own game?
>>
Black Cauldron was good.
Eilonwy is the best princess.
>>
It bombed though
which I assume is the threads point

What about the time Disney made a movie that couldn't live up to being compared to a more successful Dreamworks movie, regardless of wich was better as a movie?
>>
I'm so fucking mad about the black cauldron I read that fucking book series later and it was so fucking good and Disney squandered that to shit and now I'll never get to see them made into movies. Fuck Disney
>>

it's not their fault parents had recently become pansy little faggots who wanted to take their kids to mindless dreck and thought 'scary' was a bad thing
the fact that this generation is doing the same to their OWN kids however is baffling

except the disney one actually looked good

Society works in cycles anon. It's how it is. No one ever learns from the past.
>>
>>79040879
yeah I understand cycles, which is why my entire life i've been like "oh well we're in this part, but eventually we'll be in that part"
but that part has never come
>>

Deservedly so in this case
>>
Disney still owns the Chronicles of Prydain IP. Hopefully they do a reboot some time when I'm still alive.

Both are shit.

I just hope due to the film's cult status and The Horned King's small popularity (Fun fact; In Final Fantasy VII, when the Hades summon is used, he looks just like HK complete with his cauldron.) even if it's just a half-assed DLC world just to make way for more focus on the nu-Disney ones.
