I don't know anything about this character. Can someone storytime a good issue? Would appreciate it very much
Read the magazines, the comics while some are better than others never really got the right tone

the radio show was complete trash and is recognized as such

You're aware the pulps predate the radio show, you stupid fuck? Before the stories he was just the narrator on some detective show and didn't have his own series.
Watch the movie its the only good shadow

Fun fact: Bill Finger stole the plot for the first Batman story from a Shadow story(not this one).

The movie is based but it's not really The Shadow, it's Slightly Edgier Burton Batman.
Still fucking great though. Russell Mulcahey could direct a damn gorgeous movie in the 90's and the score is fantastic.

I admit, I like the theme that Taylor Dayne did for it as well.

Me too. It's very 90's-power-ballad like a lot of movies got for ending themes at the time, but she's got the pipes for it so it totally works.

I just rewatched the movie something like a month ago and honestly, it's worth it just for the direction and production design alone. Like half of that movie could be framed on your wall, Mulcahey's visual eye was working overtime. Then you add in Alec Baldwin and the great John Lone and you have a seriously underrated gem, right along with the Phantom and Rocketeer movies.
It's just not really a Shadow movie, it's a Burton Batman knockoff with the serial numbers filed off.

Well, Burton Batman didn't have Tum Curry with a motherfucking Thompson.
