It bears some similarities, if it is anyway. Lightning strikes on a grey planet with a green tinge that houses old sith ruins. We just need kreia to pop up now as moaning myrtle and just annoy everyone
Best enjoy the orange boots while you can, if the predictions are right, we won't have her much longer.
>why did you leave?
>do you know what i've become?
i wasn't ready for that feel
Vader knows how to make an entrance
I love you Ahsoka and It will be sad to see you go.
>Maul and his shadow collective wage war on the Republic and Sepratists, drawing the ire of both
>he manages to capture Dooku and tries to turn him against Plapatine
>Talzin comes to aid Maul, gets killed by Plapatine, and Maul flees
there's obviously more too it than that, but that's the really quick version
mini space ship....? THAT SIR is a tie advanced 2.
i miss clone wars cgi
>Fucking lightsabers all over the place now.
I hope it's just to provide enough of a nuisance to draw Vader's attention so he can finish off snips and then they start getting used sparingly again.
I was wondering how long it would take for TFA to influence the show. Almost immediately as it turns out. Hope they don't try to go full pottery with it.
New trailer looked awesome, but we should all probably be curbing our enthusiasm. Not because it's gonna be shit, it'll probably be really good, but Rebels has an unfortunate tendency to promise the moon and then underwhelm.
>rebels mid season trailer
WE'RE FUCKIN BACK THANK YOU BASED
>had good friend who was girl as kid
>best friends since first grade
>at the end of 7th grade lie that we are dating
>she gets mad and says she'll never talk to me again
>the final thing that pushed me over the edge into depression and a downward spiral that lasted until Junior year of high school
>regret lying more then anything and losing that friend
>mfw that clip brought it all back
I wasn't ready for those feelings and memory to come back. I'm so sorry my old friend
i found a picture of you, let go of your hate and die in peace
>looking stupid and out of place anywhere
I am glad Filoni won't kill ahsoka, she will probably just get slightly injured and escape and then eventually go into hiding because too emotional.
So looks like Sith Holocrons are getting re canonized, were Jedi Holocrons already re canonized? I really hope they canonize Kreia and the Exile, Obsidian's shit was great. I hope Ahsoka finally dies, the amount of ass pull needed to get her to survive because waifufags can't let go would be retarded.
>no one mentioning that there are like a dozen fully trained Jedi temple guards
>no one mentioning Kanan training with them in a dojo
That's a little bit more than Vader standing on a tie fighter.
>I hate the reason this whole franchise exists because of something other people are responsible for
Why are you so mean to me man, i haven't done anything to you.
That's what I'm asking. I don't remember, I hope they are, and I hope Luke found some during his wanderings.
>Tfw no post-ROTJ show about Luke exploring the galaxy while Snoke plots to fuck his shit up.
>There's always a bit of truth...to Legends
I see what they did there.
Who's hype for finding out how and what Legends are known about in the canon timeline.
>he hasn't been seduced to the orange
What you guys want is stupid and doesn't make sense. All the Jedi end up dying, because if they didn't, where the fuck were they when Luke was doing his shit? I mean Christ it was bad enough when Abrams butchered Luke so he could rehash ANH, I'd rather the same not happen to Ashoka. I also want this show to kill people like TCW did.
i recall seeing jedi holocrons in those cad bane episodes when he broke into the temple.
now sith... ive never even heard them mentioned outside TOR lore.
sith holocrons bring forth much of the old canon since sith MASTERS made them.
bane, raven, exar kun, people that make sheev look like a child
>people getting upset that the EU has, at best, a minimal effect on the films
Look, you don't need it to be canon or make an impact, even retroactively, on the movies in order to enjoy these things in their own right.
In other words, shut up.
Rebels' Yoda looks more like Spaceballs' Yogurt.
Also, that glimpse of Anakin confused the heck out of me for a second because it looked like ROTJ Luke with shaggy hair.
>According to Neal Scanlan, who worked on the creatures for both “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and “Rogue One,” that sense of realism will translate into how the aliens appear in this prequel story — so basically, don’t expect any lavishly shot, creature-crowded scenes in the film.
>“In the world of ’Force Awakens,’ there was a real mixture of all different kinds, very much like the original Cantina sequence,” said Scanlan, referring to the iconic scene on Mos Eisley in “A New Hope.” “Working with Gareth now on ’Rogue One,’ he sees these aliens as being much more part of the human [world]. They co-habitate, they work together and so it’s pushed us very much to create characters that are more realistic.”
>“They move more realistically, they’re able to emote more than maybe the characters that we did for ’The Force Awakens.’ So they’re a closer part of the storytelling. They’re less of the world, and they’re more of this group who have a mission, and play a part in that.”
None of the light side force users we see are Jedi. None of the inquisitors you oddly enough don't complain about are around either....
Also, we need someone to found the knights of Ren.
I just hate how SW stuff has a habit of getting good right before its cancelled.
>Jaina finally becomes good but never gets that series about her
>Darth Maul game
I'll flick through it now.
>starts with Maul being held captive by Sheev and is being tortured by Dooku.
>palpating wants to find Talzin to kill her
>Deathwatch break in and rescue Maul
>Dooku contacts Grevious, tells him to retrieve Maul
>Grevious follows Maul back to his base with an army and there's a battle between Deathwatch and droids (I also noticed that Maul still has his darksaber but not his lightsaber)
>Maul and Grevious meet in battle, Grevious takes the first chance he gets to hide behind his droids and then run away, war never changes
>Grevious and his armies keep attacking planets with Maul's bases on them to try to find Talzin
>Maul captures Dooku somehow
>Jedi council notice all do the attacks and get involved, they send Obi-wan, Tiplee, Cody and clones to the current attack to intervene, Obi-wan gets emo over Satine on the way there
>they break into Maul's ship and find him with a handcuffed Dooku
>Maul and Dooku decide they have to work together or they're fucked, Maul frees Dooku and have a showdown against Obi-wan and Tiplee
>Aayla Secura and Mace Dindu appear to help
>Maul kicks Secura in the face and Dooku REKS Tiplee through the stomach with his lightsaber
>Maul and Dooku escape together with a diversion from Deathwatch but Deathwatch get captured by the clones, Grevious' forces have already retreated.
>Dindu and Sheev have a chat in his office and Sheev blatantly hints that he is A SITH LAWD but Dindu is gormless
>Maul makes Dooku his prisoner again, Dooku is clearly humouring him at this point
>Grevious followed Maul and Dooku to Dathomir in Maul's old stealth ship
>Maul possesses Dooku with green mist to control him
>all of a sudden Grevious and SHEEVE OUT OF NOWHERE
>Maul and Dooku vs Grevious and SHEEV bonanza
>Talzin out of nowhere
>Sheev vs Talzin force lightening fight
>Dooku adds lightening for a team up buff but they're still level pegging
>Talzin tells Maul to run
>Talzin gets rekt by Grevious (the first time he's been useful since ever)
>Dooki asks Sheev for forgiveness because he's been fucking useless throughout the whole comics
It's like bad fanfic
I hope Vader will be denying the fact that he is/was Anakin Skywalker
Instead of that beta orbiter shit like
>why did you leave?
>do you know what i've become?
Trailer looks awful, though at least it suggests shit will happen. Everything about Rebels felt contrived (much like parts of TCW) to begin with, but the trailer feels like it's filled with a bunch of stuff just for fanservice or recognition. I'm sure it'll be a decent enough watch anyway, however awkwardly it aligns with the films.
>None of the light side force users we see are Jedi.
Way to miss the fucking point mate. They're Rebels. They're fighting the Empire. They use the Force. Yet they're nowhere to be seen when Luke shows up, and Luke is forced to go look for Yoda because there's no one else to train him. If they were still alive why aren't they helping the Rebellion or training Luke? Why Ghost-Wan go send Obi-Wan to them, or send them to meet up with Luke and Yoda? It's an asspull to have them survive and not take part, especially Ashoka, she'd be fucking perfect for Luke.
>None of the inquisitors you oddly enough don't complain about are around either....
Because they're obviously going to die you fucking moron. They're the villains. Vader is specifically referred to by Tarkin as all that remains of the Jedi. The Inquisitors even were referred to as a "failed experiment" in an interview, so we know they don't last.
There's no canon to the Jedi Temple Guards.
My theory has always been that they were people like Marz, they're Force sensitives but not don't have enough innate ability to become Force users
>tfw we are finally talking about rebels again
feels good brothers
Someone on Tumblr just pointed this out.
>Someone want to explain to me how Waxer probably made a personal request of Boil that he return his shoulderplate to their sister on Ryloth? How Boil found his brother’s body after Umbara and begged Rex to let him take it, so that he could fulfill the request? How Rex and the others broke all sorts of regulations because High Command was already having a nightmare with everything related to Umbara, and let him have it, and how he returned it to Ryloth and gave it to Numa? How she turned it into her own armor because even when the Clone Army began to violently suppress her people, she remembered how Waxer rescued her and protected her and fed her, and how she called him “brother”, and how she refused to let the Empire take her brother from her? How she became a protector of the innocent herself, and continued fighting long after her brothers had died? How she painted the tooka doll from her home on her outfit to remind her that she fights to protect children?
This squashes those rumors that there wouldn't be any aliens. I didn't believe them anyway, it would be impossible to make a movie set in the Star Wars Galaxy with no aliens, not to mention Disney needs something to sell toys
Look at the eyes, it's the same weird eyes maul has with the spikey iris
Yellow sabers seems to be used exclusively by Temple guards, there are purple and white lightsabers that are extremely rare, and then you have the standard green and blue, so aside from the yellow one the colors don't indicate anything at all
>this is Numa
FUCK YOU FILONI
Yeah I know KOTOR was the first I think to make it so
>Guardians/Warriors = Blue
>Sentinels/Thieves = Yellow
>Consulars/Mages = Green
Was wondering if they decided to bring anything like that with them into new canon.
And then Rogue One breaks into the Death Star to steal the plans, goes down to the detention area, beats up the guard, and rescues the fair maiden
Wookiee Jam Crew.
From that point on the whole thing becomes a Rock Opera.
I agree with that. I'm just saying it also looks plenty stupid.
I can't get over the fact a personality-less goon from a poorly-received movie released in 1999--that we saw get cut in fucking half, no less--is still relevant to Star Wars media and events set directly before the original Star Wars. Darth Maul is such a terrible character. It's awkward, forced writing that feels utterly pointless.
I don't think they're going to have Luke have a wife in the new trilogy.
>Luke got cucked out of his hot wife, his son, and rebuilding the Jedi Order
>Probably going to die to the emo so Rey can be the special snowflake who rebuilds the Jedi
Being Luke is suffering.
Would be awesome if one of those holocrons showed order 66 and how Anakin had turned during his Dark Deed's.
>66 dubs checked
Yeah watching that shit again might me think that was just a vision after Ahsoka thinking it was her fault for leaving that let Anakin down the dark path he went,
Its probably her a vision mixed with the guilt of feeling she let her master down when she left and now seeing what he has become.
Hopefully there'll be a little talking before or after their duel not a full blown conversation but just a few question here and there by Ahsoka. And ofc Taunts from Vader
Do you really want Ashoka to end up like Luke? Character completely ruined so it can fit into JarJar's rehash of the OT? Do you seriously want her to be alive if it means she fucks off to nowhere to do nothing?
I'd rather she go out fighting Vader.
Kanan gets a custom paint job and ... are those yellow painted TIEs?
I can't really disagree with the silliness of Darth Maul still being alive. His episodes in The Clone Wars were awesome and great fun, but at the same time, he really should have just stayed dead, if not simply for the fact that now autists think every character in Star Wars is still alive somehow regardless of how they died. Just look at the "Snoke is Plagueis" idiots (or the new "Snoke is Tarkin" fucktards).
Here's what the official site has to say about the Temple Guards
>An ancient, honored heritage within the hallowed halls of the Jedi Temple was the role of the Jedi Temple Guard. Reporting to Cin Drallig, head of security, the Temple Guards were anonymous sentinels plucked from the ranks of the Jedi as part of a Knight's ongoing commitment to the Order. A Jedi Temple Guard would disappear inside the formal robes and identity-concealing masks, the ultimate expression of emotional detachment required in service to a higher calling. Temple Guards carried imposing lightsaber pikes -- thick, double-bladed weapons that produced a rare and distinctive yellow blade.
My theory is that it's a story Luke pieced together and is telling Rey.
The story of her mother, and how she delivered the plans to Leia
They'll transmit the plans to Leia, escape just before the ship being attacked in ANH, then it'll end with Leia walking to R2
>His theme is the same as Plaguies
music in star wars works as motifs, they're used to represent themes within the story not necessarily the characters. So snokes theme represents a powerful dark side user manipulating and controlling a young powerful and emotional young prospective student while the music from rots represents the same
They can't do the whole dark/light conflict in two characters in the new trilogy.
Snoke is Kylo's draw to the dark side. They both can't be wrestling with the light. There needs to be one fully dark character to be a draw for Kylo
If Ezra goes to the dark side, you assume that there will be good left in him or an internal struggle, which is very possibly wrong. If he is Snoke, it means that he is entirely evil.
You fucking kidding me? He totally does.
>Caring about maintaining the logic of the Saga is autism
Ok waifufag. Go jack off to your underage bait a couple more times.
And know that when she dies, no one except the 6% who watch this cartoon will even care :^)
>TFA's visual guide said Kylo's saber was based on old designs used at Malachor
>POST YFW THAT IS REVAN'S FUCKING SABER
I know they had to work with new animation but hooooly shit those Anakin and Yoda models. Couldn't they have remotely tried to make them look like their Clone Wars counterparts? Ahsoka and Rex get passes because they're older but this kind of bothered me a lot.
Wonder if he's like those fags on Mortis, what were they called? Father, Son, and Holy
Daughterright? Of course Snoke is apparently scared shitless of Luke and I'm not sure if Luke is as strong as Anakin. I remember Lucas saying he was, but who knows if that's still true.
Correct me if I am wrong, but those are Luminara's and Plo's Lightsabers top right?
Bottom Right is temple Guard.
Middle left possibly Windu's?
You guys recognize any of the others?
>yfw they come across the bodies of Sion and Kreia
"I hesitated for a moment when I received Order 66 because the last thing I expected was a Jedi coup. Did I feel betrayed? You bet I did. I thought of all my men who died under Ki-Adi-Mundi's command, and if I'd known then that he and his buddies were gearing up to do the Separatists' work for them and overthrow the government, I'd have shot him as a traitor a lot earlier. He betrayed the trust of every one of us."
Wow, stop the fucking presses, Maul's the Old Master?
The bottom right looks really familiar, but not sure whose it is. I doubt those are actually the ones that belong to those characters though. Windu's isn't there though. Also, where did Kanan get that red saber?
>>POST YFW THAT IS REVAN'S FUCKING SABER
Please no. I preferred Revan being a two-handed/single blade kind of guy.
>we were supposed to believe that sentient beings would immidiately turn on the only people who fought along side them and treated them with respect.
Brain chips were a wonderful solution to this.
He betrayed the trust of every one of us."
is there a youtube clip of this?
That was honestly the one retcon I really didn't like. It was just a cop-out, and a poor one at that. It's much more emotional to think that the clones really thought they were being betrayed and felt conflicted but because of their upbringing, simply didn't have the fortitude to resist an order.
>and yeah that quote isnt canon anymore due to TCW
>Mfw the brains chips kinda ruined order 66 for me.
The quote is uncanon but if you watch the youtube clip you will clearly see the clone wait for the command of Bacara, he doesnt shoot immediately but he waits for a sec then fires.
What if the Knights of Ren were once a Light Side group, and this Lightsaber is a relic of that...
No it was a really terrible one actually. Their conditioning to obey orders no matter what was much better than this.
It robbed the clones of all responsibility. I prefer it when people are willing to show that good people can do bad things.
>Maul being Ezra's secret master on the side
I honestly have a harder time believing that the Clones would just shoot almost immediately just to follow orders after seeing them bond with their Jedi Generals throughout Clone Wars. Especially after the Umbara Arc where they showed their independent thinking.
Brain chips made it all the more tragic and just as emotional. Especially after seeing Fives not being able to prevent it.
>Brain chips made it all the more tragic and just as emotional. Especially after seeing Fives not being able to prevent it.
This. Along with the trooper in the Kanan comics who gets PTSD and can't cope with what he's done.
So uhh, we all know this is where Filoni's Revan cameo is going to finally be made reality right?
It's so obvious, I just know it's going to happen.
He's been wanting to do it since TCW, and now we have a Sith Holocron.
No way in hell it isn't Revan.
They probably will die but I don't find the notion of straggler Jedi hanging on through the OT times to be ridiculous. There's all sorts of reasons they may not have wanted to help.
It'll open a whole can of worms that Pablo and co. might not be able to deal with right now. Revan revealed and then you've got thousands of people constantly on twitter saying REMAKE WHEN? WHATS HAPPENING? REVAN CONFIRMED AS SNOKE. But it'll be nice to see it if it's true.
What if it's
I just want KOTOR2 to be canonized too bro.
>both Jedi and sith holocrons will ever get enough spotlight
There's so much potential for cool shit, even the EU before Disney took over hardly touched on them.
Call me a hater, but this is waaaay over the top for me
>Ezra finding crossguard lightsaber, making Kylo's not unique
>Maul alive and well in GCW era
>featuring Leia, because hell yeah, OT
>all that TFU style action
Straggler Jedi who kept their heads down after Order 66 and went into hiding? Sure I can totally believe that,
Ex-Jedi who helped found the Rebellion and have personally fought Vader? That's a much bigger leap.
The Knights of Ren were created by Snoke or someone associated with him post-RotJ, the Lightsaber is an ancient design and has nothing to do with them, Kylo Ren likely just thought it was a cool design and tried to make one for himself.
We already knew Kylo Ren's Lightsaber isn't unique and he just made it in a cave with a box of scraps based on ancient descriptions. That said, his is way cooler because of the cracked crystal effect.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves. It sure does LOOK like Malachor V, but no confirmation yet.
God I hope it is though. I want Jesus and Kreia re canonized.
>More clone quotes.
>Operation:Knightfall, aka order 66.
"What I remember about the rise of the Empire is… is how quiet it was. During the waning hours of the Clone Wars, the 501st Legion was discreetly transferred back to Coruscant. It was a silent trip. We all knew what was about to happen, what we were about to do. Did we have any doubts? Any private traitorous thoughts? Perhaps, but no one said a word. Not on the flight to Coruscant, not when Order 66 came down, and not when we marched into the Jedi Temple. Not a word."
―An extract from the Journal of the 501st
I think the biggest problem wiith yoda is like everyone else in the series his skin is completely smooth which kinda worked for rex bdcuase of his beard but looked a little dumb but it just doesnt work with yoda
Well Asoka, Kanan, and Ezra are probably gonna die.
I'm just saying all the
>Luke has to be the last force user or the OT makes no sense
People are stupid.
He was never special cause he had the force, he was special cause he's a Skywalker.
Uhh, in the context of Filoni wanting to do exactly that in the past, how is it wrong to assume that this is finally it?
Maybe I am wrong and it isn't Revan, but considering Filoni was going to do this with Revan in TCW, I see no reason to think I am being unrealistic.
What was actually said
>If Kanan, Ezra, and Ashoka are involved in the founding of the Rebellion yet are nowhere to be found by ANH, I'd rather they die than conviently survive all the way to TFA because some fags can't let go
What you read
>Someone's insulting muh waifu! I must defend her against the shit lord! REEEEEEEEEEE!
Fuck off retard. Better she get a good death than just disappear into the void because you can't let go and want to break the Saga's logic just to keep her, Kanan, and Ezra around.
I'd rather it belong to Freedon Nadd, Exar Kun, or any of those chaps. Revan would be neat, but he's the most boring out of all the possible pulls. Which means it will probably be Revan.
You guys are all getting way ahead of yourselves. KotOR 1 and 2 are never going to be made canon again. This is just Disney and Lucasfilm picking and choosing small design elements and pieces from them to use or repurpose. But those games overall contain things that could never be reintroduced to the new canon. Revan isn't coming back.
I didn't see the Clones episode in Rebels. Why did the three of them not kill Jedi, and what were their reaction to their brothers killing their comrades and generals?
I distinctly remember the episode where Dexter Jester goes Dark jedi and kills clone, and at the end the clones say they are not droids, and have free will.
I was laughing for a good 5 minutes after that
>Luke... When I am gone... The Last of the Jedi you will be... Pass on what you have learned - Yoda
And that's not even getting into all the other references to how all the Jedi are gone, it's just the Emperor, Yoda, Obi-Wan, and Luke as people with any real knowledge of the Force.
They do need to die. Otherwise the OT doesn't make sense. If Kanan or Ezra are still around why can't they train Luke?
Spoilers for TCW Season 6:
Fives discovers organic chips are being grown inside Clones to influence them to betray their Jedi. Fives dies before he can reveal the truth, but manages to convince Rex enough that Rex and a few other Clones removed their chips, and didn't execute Order 66.
Read Son of Dathomir, shit pushed his character even further into "I have literally nothing i give up" territory. Ever since then he's been plotting in the shadows- becoming a Sith, and waiting for a new apprentice.
This. Yoda is fully aware of Kanan and Ezra in the show, so for that line to exist means those characters no longer live by the time of the films. There is no other way around it.
I'm so tired of arguing with you fucking faggots. Tell me what you would do then. How would you keep them alive when BOTH ROTJ and TFA call Luke the last Jedi?
>Hurr they're not really Jedi! They just use the Force! And lightsabers! And fight the Sith!
Fuck off Jolee.
People love the KOTOR edge lords- I mean Sith Lords though, and Disney loves money.
I hope when/if they do re canonize them though they tone down their power. Nihlus being a "wound in the force" that consumes worlds is something a teenager writes in their edgey fan fiction.
>If Kanan or Ezra are still around why can't they train Luke?
Because they don't want to. Because they went dark side. Because they're shellshocked burnouts with barely any sanity left. There's many possible outcomes. We're seeing a Vader who goes beyond killing in this series. We're seeing someone who cultivates terror like art and revels in the suffering of his prey.
But hey, all we get is "REEEEEE! WAIFUFAGS!" which completely misses the fucking point. Death is the mercy Vader gives to those who've otherwise served loyally. We want to see Vader do worse than kill. We want to see Vader DESTROY.
They avoided it as it was something clearly personal and hurtful to them. Rex at once point does tell Kanan "We all have a choice", because Kanan wasn't convinced by their story.
Wolffe and Gregor suffer heavy side effects, Wolffe has PTDS-like symptoms that makes him occasionally believe the Jedi are traitors, but Gregor and Rex are pretty good at helping him see clearly when he has these panics.
Gregor just kinda' went loopy.
>But they're not really Jedi!
They still could've helped Luke out, the retard almost died on Hoth because he couldn't pull his lightsaber out of some ice. Fucking Ezra is more competent than that.
They. Need. To. Die. I don't care if you don't think that's "original" it's what needs to happen in order for the story to make sense.
Keep doing what Vader is doing now:
Systematically kill everyone they help. Kill everyone they try to help. Don't stop until it breaks them. A psychological wreck can't train anyone.
That's nothing on Naga Sadow and that Krath lady causing supernovas.
And Nihilus is more of a commentary on "Kills for XP" character growth. And eh only ate one planet because his strenght is reflective of the force power of his target, and that planet was RICH in force sensitives. (Miraluka population and half the Jedi Council all in one place? Yum!)
Or they're being imprisoned and tortured, or locked in Carbonite.
>Because they don't want to. Because they went dark side. Because they're shellshocked burnouts with barely any sanity left.
That could work. Maybe. If this wasn't a kids show that kept tiptoeing around. There's a lot less death than TCW, so I don't know.
Of course then the question becomes why does Tarkin refer to Vader as the last remnant of the ancient religion?
Force users can be born anytime anywhere. The death of all Jedi/Sith would not be the death of the force.
You think a lone force user couldn't stumble on a temple and learn from ancient writings? What about the first Jedi? Must have been self taught right?
The idea that its impossible to grow in skill with the force or use a lightsaber without a teacher is stupid.
Luke was perhaps the last Jedi at that point in line with the teachings/values of the old order. That doesn't mean there couldn't be other powerful force users elsewhere that were perhaps Jedi-like.
Kids show goes completely out of the window when Vader shows up. He kills everyone they came in contact with on Lothal and they show it. It's already impacting them. For now, it's a motivation to fight harder, but eventually, they're going to realise Vader has them completely outclassed.
And then comes despair. And then they break.
it really seems like there gona turn the new star wars movies into the old republic.
sheev did some thing new and unexpected, he took control of the republic instead of trying to destroy it
now were going back to the good ol, sith vs jedi
sith empire vs republic
>one of Darth Bane's masks on Sheev's ship was so corruptingly dark it turned two unaligned gay cat-assassins into frothing darkside acolytes who were willing to kill each other and shrugged off losing limbs
I'm thinking a Bane hologram is just as likely. It's been pretty built up, too.
Except he pretty much is, since JarJar forgot to actually show what makes Snoke and the Knights any different.
Just like how Kanan and Ezra are pretty much Jedi regardless of what they choose to call themselves.
If it acts like a Hutt and all that.
Anything can be retconned. Hell, at this point, it won't surprise me if they try to slip in more new content into the OT.
Vader being the last of the Jedi is no different than Goku being the last of the Saiyans.
I'm not trying to start shit. I just have a bad feeling of them trying to backpedal and shoehorn all kinds of shit.
They pretty much are senpai. They really didn't differentiate them from Sith at all.
>Dark Side users
>Take new names
Of course the Darth title is a lot more impressive than Kylo "It's not a Phase mom" Ren the fucboi.
The red walls are giving me flashbacks to Atris' room in the Telos Academy
I wonder if they have the same spooky voice
Or something in-between. My guess? Novel or comic down the line.
>inb4 just before Ahsoka dies she sees a force projection of Barriss just to please the shippers and have Filoni and co pull a Bryke.
The worse part is nothing happens
>talzin still doesn't have a physical form
>mandalore is still fucked
>maul is still alive despite never showing up again
(They better fucking kill him off in rebels)
i went into that comic thinking at least one of those plot lines would be resolved, but it's totally skipable
>project shantipole is filler
>creating the B-wing is filler
>an episode with focus on Hera, for a change, is filler
I bet you'll cry if they do a Mandalore episode with a focus on Sabine, too.
Bringing back KotOR would mean bringing them back by proxy because Candorous tells you a story about fighting one of their ships in an asteroid field. Bring one EU thing back, and you end bringing all the rest because of how interconnected it all was with references.
True. But Tarkin knows about Kanan and Ezra at the very least. If he thinks Vader is the last remnant, that implies to me that he thinks all other Force Users/Jedi are dead. If he knows there's other Force Users around, that makes the line nonsensical. We know the Inquisitors are going to die, I'm just saying the most logical conclusion is that Ezra and Kanan bite it too.
They won't do that. What they'll do is say
>Yes there was a Darth Revan, but that doesn't make KOTOR canon
Just like how Bane didn't make the Bane novels canon.
And it's Pablo's job to deal with that shot, so he can fucking deal with it, instead of shilling Rey on Twitter and putting out shitty novels.
Someone let Zahn fucking write a book.
>(Bo Katan is speaking with maul in the tent where he got his new legs) Wow, Maul, how did you survive such terrible injuries?
>Shh, Ancient dathomiri secret...
>(cuts to Sheev behind the tent curtain, rolling his eyes) My old apprentice, what a hotshot, this is his "dathomiri secret", The Dark Side! The Dark side's unnatural abilities bolster constitution and defend from the effects of crippling shock and injury. The Dark Side helps keep one alive up to 300% longer.
>(Sheev comes out from behind the counter) "You need more prowess with the dark side, former apprentice!"
>"Ancient Dathomiri secret, huh?"
At this point the only way to have Ezra, Kanan, or Ahsoka running around (or just in jedi jail) during the OT is that they've either somehow been stripped of all their force powers or gone full dark side. Anything else would make Yoda a massive prick for not at least mentioning that Luke might want to indulge his rescue fetish and go get the more competent Jedi out of jail, or at least hinting that after he deals with his daddy issues he should hop over to planet X and free the prisoners there when he's ready to rebuild the Jedi order.
Is this fully scanned yet? I'm really tempted to buy it.
In KotOR, one of the war stories you can have him tell you is about the time he and his squad fought pirates in an asteroid field. One of the asteroids they were fighting on is covered in ice. He uses a powerful explosive to take out a bunch of entrenched pirates but if also superheats and melts the ice, which prompts a smaller asteroid looking object that was in the ice to "come alive" and "start spewing plasma everywhere". He then says they chased it for a while until it kept going on a course leading outside the galaxy.
That one is worth the money I think.
The new ICS is most definitely NOT worth it.
Most of the cutaways are just 3d Models with blur filters slapped over therm, and there are whole pages wasted by random screenshots from the movies.
The only good cross sections are the t-70, Rey's speederbike, and the Quad-jumper and those have all leaked in high-rez.
Zahn, Stackpole, and other sci-fi contract writers don't give a shit as long as the paycheck is right. You write the books the company tells you to and occassionally you write something for yourself in between.
He loves a LOT of star wars vidya. Hence Republic Commando's Delta Squad showing in in TCW, Kanan and Hera being re-skins of Kyle and Jan, Bane and (cut) Revan in TCW, etc. I'd hope that he'd have good enough taste to only indulge KOTOR II in moderation, but it's tough to say for certain.
I could see the macabre comedy appeal...
>"So we meet again, Bariss."
>"What? Who the hell are you?"
>"I have waited for this for a long time..."
>"Aaaah! Go away you crazy person! I don't even know you!"
>"But I know you. I have been watching you, Bariss."
Yeah, there's a scan, but it's not perfect.
Enough to be readable and see all the wonderful things like Kylo's "Accusing finger" and Poe's "Touseled hair due to wearing helmet"
Matou is very early on, just play through the story, you'll probably have Matou opened up soon.
But be prepared to grind if you want them Robots...
I'm 50-50 on whether I am going to bother...
H-he'll always be there in our hearts, right anon?
So let's hear some good stuff then. From what I've seen
>Marvel books are all trash except Lando and Vader, and Vader has shit as retarded as the old EU like Ackbar-Grievous
>Aftermath was terrible, Lost Stars was just a dull love story
>EA Battlefront has less content than a 2005 game
Only really good book so far was Lords of the Sith. Rebels is starting to get good but it's also bringing back a lot of Legends stuff, and is made by the guys who were in charge before Disney.
So how about instead of picking apart my words and generally acting like a faggot, you point out some good things the new EU has actually ADDED.
If they were so great surely you'd be able to recall them?
Oh but it is. If you can't offer a better solution then you shouldn't whine when people pick the one that makes the most sense.
You're a good girl, Ahsoka, don't go to Alderaan tomorrow.
What book did you read that made you think Lost Stars was a dull love story? Lords of the Sith, Lost Stars, A New Dawn, and Twilight Company all range from decent to great, and even Dark Disciple isn't particularly bad (just really scatterbrained). The only actually shitty book released so far is Aftermath, which makes the new EU far more consistently good than what the old EU produced.
Gregor going loopy is kinda explained cause he is a commando, commandos developed extreme personalities and even unique voices due to the mental strain and accelerated physical growth plus training they received compared to regular clones , it's explain in the RC books and game, RC were sent on suicide missions never intended to survive , guess that's what happens when one reaches old age in 30-40 years
I thought it was just really boring didn't capture me at all
Now that's one I've heard good things about, how is that? I love stories about more normal guys in Star Wars. Even liked Traviss novels aside from their Mando wanking.
> The only actually shitty book released so far is Aftermath, which makes the new EU far more consistently good than what the old EU produced
Nope. Might be the only shitty BOOK, but the comics, video games, and other stuff are generally lower-quality then the old EU. And the old EU had plenty of good stuff that Filoni and others are keeping.
I hope the series ends with Kanan and Ezra serving as body guards to Bail Organa on Alderaan. Some corny shit happens, they look to the sunset saying how everything will be alright and boom... show's over.
But we as viewers know Alderaan get destroyed 5 minutes later, but the kids at Disney XD don't.
I'm sure Filoni can get away with it.
Hera and the others cans survive because they're not force sensitive.
>LE SAME VOICE ACTOR
Tell me was Jan also the daughter of a revolutionary? Did she act like a motherly figure to her crew of rebels? Was she an ace pilot?
Nothing alike. kys.
Even i nLegends that was bullshit.
It was a lie he spread to get relatively reasonable types like Thrawn to throw in with him. (And even they knew he was full of it, they just saw him as less of a threat.)
This. The similarities with Zerg and Tyranids are just too jarring. Extra-galactic aliens? Sure. Living ships? We already have Ithorians. Hey, let's make that an Ithorian thing instead!
Literally ripping off 40k's metaplot, though? What the FUCK were they thinking?
Nice to see more of the legends-EU ship designs coming back into canon.
I heard Weismanwas writing that how is it?
Oh yeah thanks for reminding me. There's a lot of references to the Plaguies book in that book, so I was wondering if it was canon.
Even in the new canon Vader doesn't think of himself as Anakin. It's not him. Anakin Skywalker is dead until Luke.
Twilight Company is probably the best book so far next to Lost Stars.
And the comics are also consistently better thus far. What we had before was Kotor, TotJ, and some of Ostrander's stuff, with the rest of its being pure schlock. Whereas now the worst thing I can say about the new comics is that Star Wars and Leia are mediocre, and not a whole lot happened in Chewbacca.
They are an extra-galactic Techno-organic bullshit army that is highly resistant to space-magic, (Tyranids) with pain cult nonsense straight out of the Dark ELdar. Oh and a bit of the violent religious dogma stuff that could either be 40k imperium or modern day muslims.
If the two of them had a child, would it be a
>mfw seeing someone dowload your image and post it in the same thread that you posted it
>I like you
>how is it?
Kanan, pretty damn good. You see what happens to him when Order 66 gets implemented and him trying to survive that, working with a scoundrel and becoming criminal scum himself. The story also goes back and you see him going under the tutelage of Master Bilalba and him making friends with come clones.
Yeah I had to watch the trailer twice before it dawned on me.
Not that I recall, its a ship that was introduced in Truce At Bakura, everyone's favorite old-EU novel involving velociraptors. It's supposed to be an escort carrier, flimsy, slow, carries a lot of fighters for a ship its size and gets it's ass handed to it by a carrack-class light cruiser.
>Oh yeah thanks for reminding me. There's a lot of references to the Plaguies book in that book, so I was wondering if it was canon.
im gonna assume plagueis is canon until it's contradicted
probably one of the best star wars books ever
>Still hasn't posted anything better
Good one anon. Maybe when you get out of middle school, you'll understand the concept of backing up your claim.
Or failing that, posting what you think is a better idea.
But I don't have much hope for you.
>What we had before was Kotor, TotJ, and some of Ostrander's stuff, with the rest of its being pure schlock.
KotOR, TotJ, Empire, Rebellion.
Some of the Boba Fett comics(Death, Lies and Treachery was great, with Dark Empire style Kam Kennedy art and goofy hutt family drama, as was the fight with Jodo Kast), Jabba: Art of the Deal, The Jabba tape, sort of Shadows of the Empire's comic version. Jango Fett: Open Seasons.
A lot of the stuff in Star Wars Tales.
Dark Empire had great art, so did Dark Times though i didn't really like how Dark Times dished out the Dark.
I personally hates most of Ostrander's stuff, too fucking edgy for my tastes. The Padawan Brigade especially.
